One of my dads favourite jokes is
Between me and my brother we know everything, go on ask me a question
Victim asks questions
Oh my brother knows that one
Ha ha ha

DoneAdulting · 14/06/2017 09:32

My Dad really does think he knows everything. To be fair he is the person in the family that everyone goes to for advice. He keeps a level head and looks at problems logically and always helps you find the best outcome.

barbsbarbs · 14/06/2017 10:05

my childrens dad had the most incredible talent. He is sickeningly and annoyingly always right about everything, even when it looks as though he was wrong about something, he ends up always being right on the nail.

Reow · 14/06/2017 11:03

I rarely even argue with my Dad any more. He pretty much is right about everything!

colleenw · 14/06/2017 13:07

My husband is a fountain of knowledge. He's savvy with money and saving. He knows it all when it comes to politics. However he has know common sense nor can he dress the kids (terrible fashion sense)

freedomofspeech · 14/06/2017 15:46

My husband (little one's dad) thinks he knows all the short cuts when driving, which are actually long cuts!!! Takes us ages to get everywhere.

bevmichelle47 · 14/06/2017 18:28

My father always claimed he new everything! And many years ago he claimed to be employed by Encyclopaedia Britannica (UK) Ltd., and while this was true, he claimed to be a fountain of knowledge, but what he failed to mention and we found out many years later, he was just a door to door sales person quoting from the books! lol

Ninabean17 · 14/06/2017 19:19

My husband really does know everything. And it drives me crazy! On the odd occasion I'm right about something I quickly forget because it happens so rarely. And it's not just about cars, or household stuff. The weather, political results, a bet we had from 8 years ago, he remembers everything. I call him Google.

mumpetuk1 · 14/06/2017 20:01

My dad is very knowledgable. He was very studious at school and it has paid off. I always ask him to find out the answer to something that I do not know about.

CraftyPenguin · 14/06/2017 21:05

My dad is very intelligent and really does think he knows everything! Whatever we talk about, he has a view on it and always seems to know what he's talking about. As a child I used to believe it all but now I find myself just nodding along sometimes even though I know he's wrong, as there's no way he'd like to be corrected 😂

flamingtoaster · 14/06/2017 21:34

My DH has an amazing knowledge of history, geography and numerous other subjects which is wonderful for homework, crossword puzzles, etc. However he is not great with technology (including the washing machine - though he is great with the hoover and the iron) and needs very precise instructions if asked to carry out household tasks.

Mum2mischiefs · 14/06/2017 22:16

My husband, Dad to our three boys, is surprisingly good at 'Pointless' - he is always lording this over us when we have a little friendly 'competition' when watching this. He was laughing on the other side of his face the other day when yours truly got a pointless answer on the topic of the FA cup winners 1987....Cyrille Regis...yay! I was paying attention in assembly as a 9 year old when our local club Coventry City brought the cup home. This certainly won me some Mum-cred with our 14 year old!

Cailin7 · 14/06/2017 23:24

My Dad does know everything, and what he does not know he has just got online recently and now google tells him

angiehoggett · 15/06/2017 07:49

My dad is a fountain of knowledge and always the first person I would ask advice from if I didn't know how to do something!

user1472646069 · 15/06/2017 08:43

My DC's Dad knows everything about grammar and the English language and would correct you if all the time you let him.love him to bits.

phillie1 · 15/06/2017 08:56

My dad refused to be told he was going the wrong directions to places, even when I'd been to the places before and he hadnt - one time when he wouldnt listen, we were even late for his sisters funeral, as he wouldnt listen to me. This was when we followed maps rather than talking Sat Nav directions!

calicoskies2016 · 15/06/2017 11:30

My Dad really does know everything! He lives a life full of adventure and enjoyment with family and friends. Everyone knows that you have a question, you go to him and if he doesn't know, he will certainly find out!

specialsubject · 15/06/2017 12:14

'insult your father to win a prize'

what a nasty, sexist marketing idea. What next - 'share examples of how ignorantly feminine your mum is?'

I know MN has to pay the rent but this is beyond the pale.

hann24 · 15/06/2017 12:28

My dad thinks he knows everything! He has a habit of exaggerating things though, especially when he talks about how expensive everything is!

mamof3boys · 15/06/2017 14:59

My DH swears he knows everything, but I know better Wink . He is quite clever though which comes in very useful for helping the children with their homework.

LollipopsandWine · 15/06/2017 15:24

My Dad seems to know the weather better than anything else. He never ever listens to the forecast, and if I ever say something like, "ooh, looks like rain" he will tell me either "yes" and when or "nah it's not going to rain". He is always, always right about it.
He's even accurately predicated snow a few times Shock

sarebear1983 · 15/06/2017 16:23

I can't wait for my OH to put his know it all dad skills to use (our baby is 14 weeks 😀) he does an awful lot of research and tries his hand at anything and is very successful 99% of the time.
Even my dad comes to him for advice 😊

MummyBtothree · 15/06/2017 17:03

My DC's dad (my husband) seems to think he knows everything, simply because he is eleven years my senior so therefore has more life experience.....Hmm

meggysar · 15/06/2017 18:31

My dad is definitely the source of all knowledge and even if he doesn't know the answer he will always to his best to find out and help.

rocketriffs · 15/06/2017 18:33

My Dad knows more things than I've forgotten. He has had more life experiences and a vast amount of knowledge on many subjects. That's why my kids love him. He tells them stories and he always has an answer every time they ask him something.
