Fairy Non Bio is sponsoring the Mumsnet Talk App and in light of this they’d like to see what you have to talk about when it comes to your household washing schedule. Do you manage to get by on just a couple of loads a week or do four a day just to keep up with your kids? Perhaps you’re lucky enough to be able to send it all away to be done for you? Do you have a set day for each kind of washing load or just shove things in as they look like they might need doing? Whatever your washing schedule, let Fairy Non Bio know by sharing in a post below.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “Fairy Non Bio is good for anyone who wants a softer, more sensitive wash (that still leaves clothes clean!). Its gentle formula promises to be kind to both your clothes and your skin, and so it’s suitable for the whole family, no matter how many washes you’re doing each week.”

So, alongside the Fairy Non Bio sponsorship of the Mumsnet Talk App, they’d like you to talk about the washing schedule your household has. If you avidly check out Mumsnet's talk boards, you should download the app for yourself. It's free, and allows you to be part of the conversation wherever you are!

All those who post below will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks, and good luck with the prize draw!

Depends on the week but generally about 6 loads a week, there are 2 adults and a four year old in our house x

SSCRASE123 · 18/12/2016 18:50

Crikey, that's a question. Probably about 6, half darks and half whites. That sounds a lot when you say it like that.

thesockgap · 18/12/2016 18:52

At least 20 loads a week. Most days we do 3, today I've done six but that's because bed change day has coincided with my son coming back off a school trip with a case full of dirty clothes!

kittykomp · 18/12/2016 18:53

about 4/5 loads a week

LeeR1985 · 18/12/2016 18:59

I do 2 a week, 3 every other week. I wash my essentials every week like underwear and clothing. Every other week I do the bedding/towels.

janeyf1 · 18/12/2016 18:59

I try to limit it to twice a week

littlemonkeyz · 18/12/2016 19:06

There are 3 of us, we probably do about 4 loads of washing a week. Whites, a couple of dark washes and then towels/bedding.

mrpeterhall · 18/12/2016 19:12

at least one a day in my household

Lauzipop1 · 18/12/2016 19:17

2 loads a day 7 days a week so that's about 14. Sometimes it's about 16 if bedding needs washed. Having a 4 year old who spills everything she eats and drinks really is hard work lol.

shawbarbara · 18/12/2016 19:18

Hundreds - well not exactly - but it does feel like hundreds lol

insan1tyscartching · 18/12/2016 19:27

There are six of us here and I also do ds's laundry. I do probably upwards of 25 loads a week and sometimes significantly more,it's probably my favourite chore though I love to see lines of clean laundry.

voyager50 · 18/12/2016 19:28

It's usually around 4 loads a week - there is not much space to hang it - we don't have a drier or garden so it depends on the season as we have to wait for one load to be put away before we can wash the next lot. There is always washing hanging out to dry around the home!

I spilt it into whites, lights and darks.

maryandbuzz1 · 18/12/2016 19:40

I do a couple of loads a week. I always put them on overnight to save money. Every other week I change the bed linen which takes a couple of extra loads.

MiserableMe1 · 18/12/2016 19:48

i do 8-10 loads a week i do it on a thursday & a sunday, There is 2 adukt & one teenager in my home, she produces loads of washing for me

alicecooper · 18/12/2016 19:52

my washer is on at least once a day

MSHGW · 18/12/2016 19:52

About 10 loads a week.

prwilson · 18/12/2016 19:52

Usually around one of whites, one mixed and one bedding.

NauticalDisaster · 18/12/2016 19:53

One adult, two young children and I do 6,sometimes 7, loads a week. We don't have a dryer but use a heated drying rack.

hawkster · 18/12/2016 19:58

I do one load a day and at least four loads at the weekend, so about 12 loads a week on average

AngelwingsPetlamb · 18/12/2016 20:00

At least one mixed load every day, but some days it 2 or 3 loads. Plus special washes every week for woollens, silks, trainers and clothes that don't want fabric softener.

Ikea1234 · 18/12/2016 20:01

The machine goes on , on average, once a day, so over the week it's 7-8 loads, with towels (2), bedding (2), colours (1), darks (1) and whites (1). It can be more, if I'm caught out and the PE kit needs washing for the next day due to extra after school activities and there's nothing else to go in with it. Such a pain!

jt75 · 18/12/2016 20:03

2 a week. 1 white and 1 coloured usually.

GabsAlot · 18/12/2016 20:05

about three

sammylea80 · 18/12/2016 20:15

The washing machine is on at least once a day sometimes twice, I'd say an average of 9 loads a week .. the joys of having an active family :)

glenka · 18/12/2016 20:23

We usually do about four lots of washing a week.
