Fairy Non Bio is sponsoring the Mumsnet Talk App and in light of this they’d like to see what you have to talk about when it comes to your household washing schedule. Do you manage to get by on just a couple of loads a week or do four a day just to keep up with your kids? Perhaps you’re lucky enough to be able to send it all away to be done for you? Do you have a set day for each kind of washing load or just shove things in as they look like they might need doing? Whatever your washing schedule, let Fairy Non Bio know by sharing in a post below.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “Fairy Non Bio is good for anyone who wants a softer, more sensitive wash (that still leaves clothes clean!). Its gentle formula promises to be kind to both your clothes and your skin, and so it’s suitable for the whole family, no matter how many washes you’re doing each week.”

So, alongside the Fairy Non Bio sponsorship of the Mumsnet Talk App, they’d like you to talk about the washing schedule your household has. If you avidly check out Mumsnet's talk boards, you should download the app for yourself. It's free, and allows you to be part of the conversation wherever you are!

All those who post below will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks, and good luck with the prize draw!

One a day ... if there was one job I could hand off to someone (anyone) else it would be to keep on top of the washing/ ironing pile. It does seem to grow and only one way.

Probably around 4 on average, 2 adults...and careful to keep washing to a minimum!

I would say about 6/7 a week. I do towels and bedding every week. There are two adults, one preschooler and one toddler in this house. I only have an 8kg machine due to it being integrated. I wish I could get a bigger machine!

7-8 there's one on most days! We do have a young baby and a toddler though!

Report
rocketriffs · 20/12/2016 22:01

Only myself and my 6 year old to wash for and it averages 3 loads weekly. I do tend to overload the machine and cram everything in when the laundry basket is full. The basket is bigger than the machine barrel, but it all goes in and the washer hasn't broke down yet.

Mine averages at about 11 loads a week, my washing machine is always on, 2 adults, a teen and a toddler whom has recently started nursery, so she often comes home with dirt and washable paint on her uniform, my teen plays for a local football team (Practice on a Wednesday and matches usually on a Sunday) so his kit needs washing twice a week then theres the bedding and towels. I dont mind washing, its the ironing I dont like doing!

2 dark loads (one normally heavy soled after football matches so go on a 60 degree wash) the others go on 40 degrees
2 coloureds - one clothing and normally one of bedding (40 degrees)
1 whites - normally 60 degree wash
1 load of chefs clothing at 95 degrees

Loads! There's 2 adults 2 children in the house and I need to wash my sports gear every day as well as the hubby's work towels that he washes every day so I guess about 15 loads a week, some of those might be half loads though.

Just me and 9 year old DS but I seem to do a load pretty much every day Hmm
Weekly it's probably around
Min 1 load sports gear
2 x dark
1 x lights
1 x white
1 x towels

Dried outside as soon as the weather is good enough and on the heated airer if not.

I do 6-8 loads of washing a week. Sometimes more when LO throws up in the night and dirties his bedding and pyjamas.

Floralnomad · 21/12/2016 16:09

3 x loads of bedding ( 2 King / 1 double)
Towels 4/5 loads
Whites 1 load
Coloureds 6/7 loads
Dog washing at least 2x a week
Sofa throws / assorted blankets 1/2 X a week
There are 4 of us , youngest is 17 . Dryer is used for everything that can be dried in it , everything else is hung on a drying rail ,I only hang washing outside in the summer . Anything that needs ironing goes to the ironing lady ( she collects Tuesday and returns Wed)
