Fairy Non Bio is sponsoring the Mumsnet Talk App and in light of this they’d like to see what you have to talk about when it comes to your household washing schedule. Do you manage to get by on just a couple of loads a week or do four a day just to keep up with your kids? Perhaps you’re lucky enough to be able to send it all away to be done for you? Do you have a set day for each kind of washing load or just shove things in as they look like they might need doing? Whatever your washing schedule, let Fairy Non Bio know by sharing in a post below.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “Fairy Non Bio is good for anyone who wants a softer, more sensitive wash (that still leaves clothes clean!). Its gentle formula promises to be kind to both your clothes and your skin, and so it’s suitable for the whole family, no matter how many washes you’re doing each week.”

So, alongside the Fairy Non Bio sponsorship of the Mumsnet Talk App, they’d like you to talk about the washing schedule your household has. If you avidly check out Mumsnet's talk boards, you should download the app for yourself. It's free, and allows you to be part of the conversation wherever you are!

All those who post below will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks, and good luck with the prize draw!

Should add that's 2 x lights, 2 x darks, 2 x blue, 2 x red, 2 x bed linen, 2 x towels
I tend to do the washing twice a week so that there's enough of one colour to do a full load

Tenpastlate · 18/12/2016 17:06

2x dark washes (one of these at weekend for school trousers/socks)
1x white (mostly school/work shirts)
1x towels
1x bedding
2x colours
Sometimes a red & pink wash or a delicates wash.

So, arount 7 washes per week Shock

blondie123c · 18/12/2016 17:39

I do around 9 loads a week, my partner's a chef so always have lots of Chef whites to wash! Plus towels and bedding every week, soon adds up! we are a family of 3

essexchic · 18/12/2016 17:40

I do 1 aday, sometimes if doing sheets or towels then twice.

shellywkd · 18/12/2016 17:43

At least 10 loads a week there are 5 of us plus our dog which means a lot of washing. Then there is extra loads for bedding as well.

ThemisA · 18/12/2016 17:44

We worry about the environment and cost of electricity and water so we usually try to keep it to 4-5 loads max. Towels and bedding are washed once a week and we try to wear clothes more than once.

Ganne1 · 18/12/2016 17:49

When our DC's were little, it was four or five loads a week. Is that normal?

MUMBOJUMBO55 · 18/12/2016 17:49

48 washes a month for 4 adults and 1 child. We get a cheaper night-time electric deal so mosf of it is done late night or early AM.I like to use Lenor fabric conditioner and Bold liquid.

andywedge · 18/12/2016 17:50

alsproject · 18/12/2016 17:58

we do about 4-5 loads of washing a week for all of us (2 adults and 1 child)

mooota1514 · 18/12/2016 17:59

Probably six or seven a week, I have two very small children so there is lots of spills, baby sick, wee...

jacqui5366 · 18/12/2016 18:02

there are two adults and two children in my home, and I was every day, and it really depends on what has been put in the laundry basket. I do one bed covers each week on a rota, socks and underwear twice a week, towels on a weekend (or if it is a nice drying day during the week). Uniforms are done on a Friday night as as they are non iron, they are back in the wardrobes for Saturday evening. My children love nice smelling clean clothes so quite good on putting them in the laundry basket.

TracyKNixon · 18/12/2016 18:06

twinklenicci · 18/12/2016 18:30

i have 2 teenagers and a toddler , a hubby and two messy dogs. I usually wash at least one wash per day , most days 2 loads of washing gets done . It feels like it never ends.

jlwells1986 · 18/12/2016 18:33

i do 4-5 loads of washing a week. I find everything my children wear - even if its only on them for an hour - they always end up dirty :-) I'm due my third child in march so my washing load will be going up I'm sure haha

hiddenmichelle · 18/12/2016 18:44
