With Christmas around the corner, Homebase wants to know all about your festive favourites and the seasonal must-haves you just can’t live without.

Would Christmas without a tree not be Christmas at all? Have your baubles got to be a certain colour to fit in with the rest of the décor? And is there only one style of lighting you could ever have in your home?

Whatever’s essential to you this Christmas, visit homebase.co.uk and post a link below to the products you just can’t live without - and tell us why.

So for a chance to win a £300 Homebase voucher, simply take the survey and add a comment below.

Thanks and good luck,

It has to be a singing snowman that sings frosty the snowman and then the doors of his tummy open to reveal ice skating snowmen and reindeer. I loved it as a child and now my children get to enjoy it. It has such wonderful memories of my Mum who loved Christmas so I could never give this up.

Would have to be the stand for my real tree this year.

www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/pre-lit-wooden-advent-calendar-370856 absolutely love the build up to xmas, and this wooden advent has it all, including lights, for me the more fairy lights the better, to make my home like a santas grotto!

farmergirl29 · 25/11/2016 22:10

We use the same decorations year after year and it wouldn't be the same without them. Our tree was purchased from homebase about 9 years ago. We have a range of decorations, some from our childhood.

IvorHughJarrs · 25/11/2016 22:12

There are so many! For me, I love the shimmering light from the tree, the coal fire and candles so beautiful candles and holders, like www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/gold-speckled-star-tealight-holder-370812this to group together make the place look really special

Our Christmas tree, we pick it as a family, decorate it together I may rejig it once the dc are in bed but it's the first sign of Christmas in our house and we have a tradition of having a picture in front of it once it's decorated and then again Christmas Eve. I hope my dc will always remember the magic. Star

My girls love their wooden advent calendar - opening the little drawers to find a treat inside is the perfect way for them to countdown to the big day! Smile www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/pre-lit-wooden-advent-calendar-370856

The Christas Tree baubles I inherited from my mum. They weren't expensive but they meant the world to her and my Christmas wouldn't be the same without Santa Rudolph etc on my tree Grin

I love jingly bells, especially at Christmas. There are a few ornaments with them and I'm guessing that this one would jingle most as it goes on the door.

I like to get an advent calendar that I can fill with lots of lovely things. It beats getting a naff chocolate calendar from the supermarket.

For me, it's the Christmas lights. There's no better feeling than wrapping presents, whilst watching a Christmas film with the Christmas lights twinkling in the background. That's when I start to feel like Christmas is coming.

Also was so magical to see everything lit up at Christmas as a child, I want to create that sense of magic for mine now.

vonniebab2 · 26/11/2016 07:45

My christmas tree it just would not be christmas without it we love decorating and putting the lights on its the highlight of christmas

barbsbarbs · 26/11/2016 08:00

that has to be ritx crackers, I adore them and could them all day every day. I dont, but I will eat them at christmas as a seasonal treat.

ThemisA · 26/11/2016 08:00

Done the survey. Every year (usually in the sales) I buy one tree decoration to remember that Christmas but this year I am seriously tempted by these www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/heirloom-glass-baubles-18-pack-371204.

I love Christmmas Stockings and Christmas would not be Christmas without them - we all have them whatever our age!

Lisapaige24 · 26/11/2016 08:01

Christmas trees I have to have one that matches the colour of my decor and I do like to change my colour scheme so I tend to have to buy a Christmas tree and decorations that match the colour of my living room love having a fresh new colour scheme each year in time for Christmas

My dishwasher due to all the dirty plates and cups. It is on constantly because of all the visitors. 🙄

Bonniesloth · 26/11/2016 08:27

I have a giant snow globe that was my mums before she passed away. It's musical too and it's lovely having that at Christmas, reminds me of my childhood and I hope it will remind my twins of theirs when they're older

The Christmas tree, it doesn't feel like Christmas without one :)

fzzzbucks · 26/11/2016 08:39

It may not be the most glamorous thing ever bought from a hardware store, but I'd go for these storage boxes www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/large-wood-basket-432887 to make sure that all the toys my little one receives for Christmas are corralled out of the way.

MGLC · 26/11/2016 08:54

LED string fairy lights in white - it makes the lounge look so pretty :)

GoodyGoodyGumdrops · 26/11/2016 09:03

We always stock up on batteries before Xmas!

(Though TBH I suspect I could do with one of these, too, otherwise there may be no Xmas dinner.)

Fairy lights, lots and lots of fairy lights. My daughter adores them, it's her favourite thing about Christmas Smile

jacqui5366 · 26/11/2016 09:17

has to be the christmas lights, around my window, and the wreath on my door, they are set on a timer. I always put the lights around the window before I do the school run, and for the 'unveil' we go out for tea and drive home in the dark for the best effect, its lovely to hear the squeals and clapping when they see the flickering lights - a sure sign that Christmas has truly started x

voyager50 · 26/11/2016 09:20

Festive tea towels - with all the washing and wiping up to do it's good to have plenty of them ready to use and encourage people to help!

www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/homespun-tea-towels---set-of-3-346524

Crackers with something to do in them - racing the santas and reindeer will keep the children occupied while the food's being served!
