With Christmas around the corner, Homebase wants to know all about your festive favourites and the seasonal must-haves you just can’t live without.

Would Christmas without a tree not be Christmas at all? Have your baubles got to be a certain colour to fit in with the rest of the décor? And is there only one style of lighting you could ever have in your home?

Whatever’s essential to you this Christmas, visit homebase.co.uk and post a link below to the products you just can’t live without - and tell us why.

So for a chance to win a £300 Homebase voucher, simply take the survey and add a comment below.

Thanks and good luck,

I invested in one of these last year as we spent countless years struggling with the bucket and bricks, always resulting in a wonky tree. Wish we had bought it sooner.

I still have some Xmas decorations including a tiny manger scene made by my children 30 years ago - they always come out. Also 2 knitted stockings with their names which are always hung up ( they are parents themselves now!) and in the tree decorations box are a couple from my own childhood old and fragile but still part of my Xmas preparations

Firstly, not having turkey. Secondly, having as much of the family around as possible, but this will be difficult this year as my mother-in-law is in a hospice, and my daughter is married and living in Norway. At least, my son and husband will be there ... I hope!

frances93 · 26/11/2016 11:25

My Christmas Eve FaceTime to my parents who live in Newcastle, I find Christmas extremely difficult being without my family and spending it with my in laws.
And my 2nd Christmas essential is perfectly placed baubles on the tree!

lizd31 · 26/11/2016 11:43

My festive favourites are all butter shortbread & Terry's chocolate orange. I've been good all year as I've been on a diet for 14 months & lost 7 stone so I'm looking forward to my festive treats this Christmas
