With Christmas around the corner, Homebase wants to know all about your festive favourites and the seasonal must-haves you just can’t live without.

Would Christmas without a tree not be Christmas at all? Have your baubles got to be a certain colour to fit in with the rest of the décor? And is there only one style of lighting you could ever have in your home?

Whatever’s essential to you this Christmas, visit homebase.co.uk and post a link below to the products you just can’t live without - and tell us why.

So for a chance to win a £300 Homebase voucher, simply take the survey and add a comment below.

Thanks and good luck,

Definitely my most traditional Snowmen decorations from my childhood, a proper turkey and sprouts, candles, good wrapping paper and the Christmas TV guide the day it comes out!

This sign so Santa knows to visit my little one! I loved these when I was a kid, was always desperate to get it out (were only wooden in my day though!)

We bought our first real Christmas tree a few years ago and trying to stand it up in a bucket was impossible - it went wonky. Found this tree stand at home base with great reviews and it's been used every year since as you can water the tree and make sure it's straight.

Julieguy · 29/11/2016 22:55

I couldn't go without a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. I could give the brussel sprouts but the rest of the family like them!!!

rosy78 · 29/11/2016 23:15

Fairy lights on the Christmas tree, around the walls, above the fireplaces and outside around the trees and paths, so Santa knows where to come.

glitter89owl · 29/11/2016 23:52

Agree with the real Christmas tree but it's also got to be beautiful wrapping paper and accessories. Seeing the look on others' faces when you give them a gift is the best part of Christmas and even more so when it's perfectly wrapped. www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/christmas-shop/gift-wrapping-and-tags/gift-wrapping-and-tags/giant-red-glitter-bows-2-pack-378195

I love plain, old fashioned coloured lights like these: www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/80-multicolour-static-fairy-lights-371238

They really make things feel Christmassy, and they go with anything and everything, so I can put all my favourite ornaments on the tree.

A good old Christmas tree is a must in our house! It feels like the festive season and the kids love it!

There are lots of pretty things but the thing I couldn't have Christmas without is a real Christmas tree. www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/christmas-shop/real-christmas-trees

This is really nice, couldn't do without a Christmas stocking, wouldn't be same without one. Love filling these up with little treats and the seeing my little ones faces as they discover what Christmas delights are hidden in their Christmas stocking

KAKADU2001 · 30/11/2016 14:41

My wife and I are looking forward to spending our first Xmas alone in over 8 years. For the previous 8 we have been lucky enough to spend Xmas in sunny Australia where one of our Sons and one of our Daughters live with their families. Got to be honest I will miss having Xmas dinner outside with the family under the glorious OZ sunshine. However, I am really looking forward to a simple Xmas at home without the need to trim up.

my 5am Christmas morning walk over the meadows with the dogs, all quiet and peaceful and knowing as soon as we return home the festivities start.
