Fairy Non Bio is sponsoring the Mumsnet Talk App and wants to hear about the moments when you’ve seen the baby in your bigger kids. Maybe they’re 10 and still suck their thumb, or your teenagers tantrum like they’re toddlers? Do your kids refuse to cuddle you in front of their friends but need a hug in the night when they’ve had a bad dream? Perhaps they cry when they’re tired or want to cuddle up with their favourite blanket in front of the TV?

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say “Fairy Non Bio is good for anyone who wants a softer, more sensitive wash (that still leaves clothes clean!). Its gentle formula promises to be kind to both your clothes and your skin. Fairy Non Bio believes in the power of softness, and the strength that comes with showing your softer side.”

So, to celebrate the Fairy Non Bio sponsorship of the Mumsnet Talk App, they’d like you share the moments when you’ve seen the baby in your bigger kids. If you avidly check out Mumsnet's talk boards, you should download the app for yourself. It's free, and allows you to be part of the conversation wherever you are!

All those who post below will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

When DS was small I made him a stuffed badger which he hugged in bed every night. He was still hugging it at night when he went off to University leaving badger behind. The first time he came home I was amazed to find him asleep hugging badger.

My DD, aged 6, loves when I get her out of the bath, wrap her tightly up in her towel and carry her 'like a baby'. It makes her hoot when I rock her and call her 'my lickle baybeee!' Grin

The day I took him out driving on the road for the fist time. A Sunday in a silly little car. His total acceptance of responsibility reminded me completely of the moment he entered the world.

I saw the same look in his eyes: I'm here Mum don't let me get it wrong.

Mine are still relatively young, at 5 & 3, but if I call either or them baby (ae, come here, baby) I am always met with a petulant, "I am not a baby!" That is until they want a cuddle and a snuggle, then they settle in just line a baby.

Great thread!

Our eldest DS is 16, 6ft tall, plays competitive rugby, a strapping, cool and popular lad.

We dragged him to Church last Easter Sunday and couldn't help sniggering to ourselves when the vicar asked all the children to go to the front of the Church for a little easter egg.......and off he went!!!

When I did a mercy dash to my ultra cool and clever poorly daughter at Uni as all her housemates away and she too poorly to get out of bed . All she wanted was hot squash, blanket and mom to stroke her hair.

On the odd occasion when 3 yo DS has had a nap and has woken up a little bit sleepy, he puts his hand under my bra strap so that his hand is next to my skin - he always did this as a baby and every time he does it now feels so precious as there is no knowing when it will be the last time.

When my 24 year old smiles up at DH and myself on Christmas Eve with big wide eyes and says "so...... shall I put out the mince pies and brandy???!"

benefits of being Father Christmas 25 years later Wink

My teenage daughter who is too cool for outward displays of affection and cuddles right now always ends a txt with 'ly 😍😘❤❤❤😀😜😍😘😘😘 and a million other emojjis far more than my 8 yr old does. She also recently put herself sheepishly on the 'naughty step' designed for my toddler, after she took my expensive headphones with out permission and broke them :/ ..she also has a cutesy teddy with a top hat and waistcoat appear next to her in the middle of the night mysteriously and then gets stuffed back under the bed in the morning like it never happened :)

When they still cuddle their blanky secretly and think no one knows

FRETGNIKCUF · 22/11/2016 07:37

When my fourteen year old DS is bashful, he looks just like he did when he was tiny. His eyes grow big and his smile lies sweetly hidden beneath his more stern expression. It reminds me that he's still young.... even if he has hugely broad shoulders and a chiselled jaw!!

Maiyakat · 22/11/2016 12:32

DD still puts everything in her mouth, her favourite teddy is very bedraggled!

beclou11 · 22/11/2016 14:46

i see the baby in my son when he is in the playground and wont go into his classroom because he wants me to stay but he is yr 3 and will be 8 in a few weeks he is just such a mums boy bless him x

smit23 · 22/11/2016 20:38

the same time as most I would think.. when they're ill. Cuddles still cure everything, no matter what the age.

flapjack35 · 22/11/2016 22:50

My son (17), yes 17, when he couldn't destroy the evil monster in one of his Playstation games a few weeks ago......Oh my, the tantrum he threw, he put my 3 year old daughter to shame, she offered him her cuddle blankie.

Candyperfumegirl · 23/11/2016 12:14

When my teen is poorly and gets in to bed with me for snuggles :)

ha2el · 23/11/2016 17:01

If they feel unsure about the world around them, new experiences especially, they are looking at me for reassurance.

cookie09 · 23/11/2016 17:51

I see the baby in my older kids when i plan to go somewhere with my partner. They get upset that they can't come and start to act up and winge. They don't like to feel they are missing out on anything.

princesssmitheee · 23/11/2016 22:38

a good cuddle!

annmariec · 24/11/2016 00:47

My 13 year old son has become very toddler like with tantrums and sulking I don't think he was this bad when he was little xx

sofieellis · 26/11/2016 21:07

My eldest two have always kissed and cuddled me no matter who could see, they still do, even though they're at uni now!

My youngest, however, is a different matter altogether, He hasn't kissed me in public since he was about 5. It's a different matter late at night though. He always comes for a cuddle on the sofa for about an hour before bed, even though he's 15. As long as we don't have company of course!

liz1970 · 26/11/2016 22:18

when they are feeling poorly :/

rocketriffs · 27/11/2016 06:05

I see the baby in my 7 year old in his facial expressions. When he's happy or sad I see his baby face from when he was very small which I love because it reminds me of those wonderful times with him that I really miss. Because they seem to grow so fast, it's nice to see the baby side come out once in a while.

emmamcmahon · 27/11/2016 21:27

My 12 year old still sleeps with his teddy rabbit. He'd kill me for telling Blush Xx

emilybc · 27/11/2016 21:58

When my littlun still grabs my earlobe when he feels insecure...he's done it for years now and it's become a bit of a reflex!
