Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons has just created a new tool where you can upload your favourite pictures and create your own personalised video to celebrate moments shared with your children.

Cadbury would love for you to try it out and create your own Memory Lane with the memories with your kids that you love. So, try out the memory lane tool, and share the link to your own memory lane, or tell us what you thought of the memory lane tool.

All those who either share the link to their memory lane or leave a comment on their experience with it will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £265 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks, and good luck with the prize draw!

That really wasn't worth the wait to be text a link to view the photos. The 360 view was a bit cumbersome and the photos were cropped really badly. It seems like a nice idea, but just poorly executed. Needs some work first Cadburys!

Hilariously crap. Photos were tiny, far too small to see! Utterly pointless.

Too small photos!

It's utterly pointless. Tiny, over-cropped photos presented in a clunky way. It didn't make me want to eat Cadbury chocolate either.

I agree with most of the pp
Far too slow/clunky/labour intensive for a product that wasn't great at the end

It didn't work well for me. The pictures are too small and a bit random in which part is included.

I too like the idea but the execution wasn't great, sorry. I think you need to make it clearer about moving the cursor to see the shops as you pass by - it took me a while to figure this out! Once I did, I enjoyed it more.

To add, when I got the email asking me to test a Cadbury Memory thing, I got excited it was about memories of chocs of the past (Spira, I'm looking at YOU). I was disappointed it wasn't.

Could you do something like that? So, who you'd share your last choccy button with (sorry, rolo!), your mate you'd laugh with over a Dairy Milk etc - make the memories work with the products somehow? The street's olde-worlde look would then work.

Hmmm, I think this idea needs a lot more work before it's actually going to be fun and engaging for people to use. Photos are just too small and the whole thing is a faff when you have to wait for a response.
It's a nice little gimmick but at the moment you risk irritating your customers by not putting enough into a making it really nice images. The whole point presumably is that people use their treasured photos and this just wasted my efforts to use them.
I'm not linking as don't want to share my family shots really.
All in all, A for effort, D for execution.

Nice idea but needs a bit of work - too slow to load, pics are too small and it is a bit fiddly. I'd like to be able to add more content too.

The video had trouble loading on my ipad (black screen the first time and for the example film) and when it did load, to be honest I didn't really see the point of it - I can easily look back at my own photos whenever I want?!

I could cry for the memory of how fabulous Cadbury's chocolate used to be before Kraft/Montsanto stuffed it with palm oil and other crap and turned it into shit. You did the same with Cream Eggs, Roses Chocolates and now you've done the same with Terry's chocolate orange which is half the size and also tastes of shit.

I suppose we should be grateful, at least it doesn't smell and taste of vomit like Hersheys.

The only memory lane I want to go down is the one that sells edible Creme Eggs.
All the gizmos in the world won't make up for the awfulness of your chocolate.

Not something I'd be that interested in in the first place and not very well done

A lovely idea but not finished developing enough to release it. May do more harm than good to the company if released in its current form. Pictures are too small, crops out important parts, 360 doesn't work well and it's very slow at times X

Very dull.

I tried it, but it didn't work for me,

All there was, was a black video with a lovely music in the background,

It is a shame as it sounds like such a good idea

I've done my memory lane tool and thought it was a nice idea. But the photos were too small, and not in focus, and the 360 didn't work very well.
Buts hat really annoyed me was how slow it moved up the lane, I couldn't watch to the end.
Watched on an iPhone 6s, didn't try it on the PC

I loved the idea but just didn't work well at all. Photos are too small so wouldn't use it again would be good if it worked better though.

The pictures were too small and blurred as most people have mentioned. It is not going to undo the damage to their image after trashing our favourite chocolate brand.

Sorry, I don't get it at all. It's very easy to scroll through photos with existing programs that comes with the computer, or to whip them up into a slideshow or video fairly simply.

Superimposing low quality versions onto a street that isn't the child's street and has no relation to the types of photos/'memories' isn't 'personalised', serves no obvious purpose and is, to be honest, twee.

When I read it was personalised, I expected to be able to customise the location, annotate with memories, and add more and better quality images.

Once I saw the eventual output I was surprised it hasn't been instant. More so because I didn't even get to add 7 photos - the first time it moved on to the 'Add Your Names' page after I'd added only 2 photos. The second and third times I tried, it only let me add one photo before it moved me on.

On the plus side, it was simple to get started. However, I would have liked more in the way of explanation about what the tool was for.

The T&Cs only come after you've clicked 'Create Video' which seems a little odd. Also, they include text that seems to be instructions to a member of staff, not for public view!!

Privacy Policy:
You can use the one from the Cadbury.co.uk website, it’s found at the bottom, you will also need to include the cookies policy as this is referenced in the privacy policy.

All a bit awkward, sorry.

This could have been so much better if the software could interpret what it was seeing and make intelligent montages.

I'm still waiting for mine to be emailed to me but firstly, when I linked to facebook to pick photos it only uploaded a certain amount of albums so the album I would have chosen (mainly old baby pics of my kids) wasn't an option to choose from.

I can't comment on the video as I've still not received it.
