Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons has just created a new tool where you can upload your favourite pictures and create your own personalised video to celebrate moments shared with your children.

Cadbury would love for you to try it out and create your own Memory Lane with the memories with your kids that you love. So, try out the memory lane tool, and share the link to your own memory lane, or tell us what you thought of the memory lane tool.

All those who either share the link to their memory lane or leave a comment on their experience with it will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £265 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks, and good luck with the prize draw!

Crap chocolate crap memory lane. Pics didn't show in full, took ages and it didn't let me upload seven photos, just two.

Oh dear Cadburys. Who ever thought this was worth making public?

I am cautious about sharing my photos with a company looking to sell me something. So for that reason I would not use it.

I did try the memory lane with non personal photos. Poor quality, a bit amateur, no functionality or purpose. I would not use it again.

Don't know what I did wrong but it just showed the same photo over and over again. Needs to be more immediate and bigger, but I like the concept

It's a lovely idea but it has problems. I could only load one photograph before it asked for my details (I was on a PC). I don't like the idea of having to put the names and the personal photographs on it and then send it to Cadbury - it should be available immediately online to download/share privately. Also it would be nice to choose the speed that you go down the lane.

It's absolute crap, I got a message to say my pictures didn't pass the moderating system? The only reason I can think of is one was a school uniform one? It says why don't you try again! I don't think so, can't be arsed with it again.

Not overly impressed either, pics are small and it cropped too much out if them. It took a long time for the email to come through. There are so many apps/sites out there that do it well, unfortunately this one does not.

Not impressed here either - it was clunky having to have the thing emailed to you. The pictures were small and overshadowed by Cadbury's signs. It is not something that I would use.

I tried, honest. But I don't want to give my phone number or email so nothing happened.

I am more than capable of making a 'film' of dd, or the cats or anything, without Cadbury signs all over it, and the whole thing seems poinltless.

It didn't work very well for me - photos took ages to upload, then the film was slow to start when I clicked on it. I tried to move around but could only spin through 360 degrees not move down the street - I'm not sure if I was supposed to be able to but I could only see one of my pictures.

It was easy to use but then waiting for it was a bit odd, and the end result was a bit rubbish, sorry. Pics were tiny, heads cropped off and some had gone all pixelated. The one doing the rounds on FB is much better and instant as well. Quite a sweet idea though but needs a lot of work. Also didn't like that you couldn't do it for more than one child at a time.

It was a waste of time. The pictures were badly cropped, my DC's head was cropped out of some, and tiny.

Takes ages for the email to come through, and I am uncomfortable with th the requirement for them to be emailed through rather than viewed on line.

Finally got the email. It wasn't what I was expecting. I think the children would love it! I retain my skepticism about the picture being emailed. It leaves me with the underlying suspicion that someone somewhere has my photo in a stash of pictures. Paranoid maybe.

Agree with others, photos too small and don't come out great on the street, and I don't think 7 photos is enough to create a memorable story.

A nice idea in principle though

Definitely a nice idea. Could maybe do with some tweaking though to improve it

I looked at the demo, couldn't believe how slow it was! The pictures were tiny and awkward to see, yet the Cadbury Buttons advert was enormous and clear as day. Just scroll through your photo library, set up different albums in it. I also realised I didn't want to upload my photos to a corporation.

The video was a bit stuttery but that could be my internet connection. I was disappointed with the size and quality of the photos though as others have mentioned,

AlwaysaLittleBitTired · 24/08/2016 14:34

Frustrating. The upload didn't take much time at all (surprisingly), but when selecting the pictures I expected a notification to tell me how many I had selected. There wasn't one (that I noticed) so I had to scroll down to count them before uploding.

When I was able to 'walk' down Memory Lane it was sluggish and the pictures were far too small to see. Some of the faces had been cut off and there was an assumption that I would add pictures of one child, which was not the case as I had added pictures of both children (one on DH too).

Needs some work I think...

It was easy to use but I didn't see the point and it wasn't easy to see the photos on the final product.

Sorry Cadbury, I thought the sentiment was lovely but it was very slow going down "Memory Lane" and the pictures were way too small. I can't see my using it or recommending it.

The link only took a couple of mins to come through so that wasn't a problem.

Report
starlight36 · 24/08/2016 21:25

It was easy to use and quick for the link to come through but on my phone the photos were way too small to have a real effect. We tried it again on my iPad but the show didn't really work properly - it was jerky and showing close ups of the cobbles. My daughter liked the music and has been humming it on and off since we looked earlier today.
