Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons has just created a new tool where you can upload your favourite pictures and create your own personalised video to celebrate moments shared with your children.

Cadbury would love for you to try it out and create your own Memory Lane with the memories with your kids that you love. So, try out the memory lane tool, and share the link to your own memory lane, or tell us what you thought of the memory lane tool.

All those who either share the link to their memory lane or leave a comment on their experience with it will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £265 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks, and good luck with the prize draw!

It's a bit weird when the street just stops; why doesn't it have a door way or something a bit more positive? Size of the photos was silly and overall it was a bit pointless.

SouthWestmom · 17/08/2016 23:56

If I now get a load of email or text product advertising I won't be thrilled. Will post back here if it happens.

PerspicaciaTick · 18/08/2016 00:26

I don't like it...and I have more than 1 "little" one, but only got asked for one name.
I felt uncomfortable sharing my photos and the end result wasn't good enough to warrant the sharing.

teddygirlonce · 18/08/2016 09:28

Not entirely convinced by this...particularly as many of our photographic memories of early family life are not on 'digital' so couldn't be included without a lot of faff...

And maybe it doesn't need to be a street but have a selection of backgrounds....Otherwise it's not very unique is it? Personally I'd rather have Cadbury's products that 'link' in time to the memories rather than a generic street view.

I had problems with it - sorry - I wouldn't recommend it until all the glitches have been sorted out and it is more user-friendly and reliable.

Tonkatol · 18/08/2016 11:22

Am away at moment & had to wait for Wi-Fi to be able to download everything and submit pictures. Took me about 15 mins as Wi-Fi was patchy - wish I had used the time to check emails as I agree with previous comments about photos being too small and inappropriately cropped. Also, I would be reluctant to post the link publicly as it has detailed photos of children & their names, which I don't generally do. Feel more research and work needs to be done to make this a fun tool.

MiddleClassProblem · 18/08/2016 11:59

As a free little thing it's ok but it's a but naff and not really my cup of tea. It just feel like they got excited about using 360 images because people are using It on FB.

A 360 tour of the factory would be better use of the tech.

CMOTDibbler · 18/08/2016 16:10

I thought it was really easy to set up, but it was a bit disappointing tbh, and 7 photos isn't enough to make a good timeline

lupus · 18/08/2016 17:29

Managed to frustrate my tech savvy child as much as me: both loved the concept but neither of us succeeded with execution. Did provide us with an opportunity to revisit and discuss loved family photos which we might otherwise not have done

Atlas15 · 18/08/2016 17:44

I thought it was quite cool. I done it in 360. It is very slow though I didn't watch it all. It would be good to send pictures to someone else. I think it would be better for holiday pictures.

NEMSparkle · 18/08/2016 18:28

Didn't work for me either both link on text and email won't load or open!

ohidoliketobe · 18/08/2016 19:49

Ahh memory lane and Cadbury's. . . Remember when some of the chocolate didn't contain palm oil and taste rank?

Sorry Cadbury, I don't like this at all. There is far too much 'street' and not enough pictures. The slide show compilations you get on Facebook are much better and far easier to build and instant to view.

The time it takes to get the email is far to long. I actually forgot about it. Also, what would you do with it? It just comes to an end. If it was any good it would be nice to have a button to post to Facebook or email to someone.

To make this better:

More pictures
Bigger pictures
Faster walk through the street. Maybe the pictures could enlarge as you come to them.
Instant access
Ability to post to Facebook
Ability to add more people

purplepandas · 18/08/2016 21:32

A bit twee for me. Also not sharing for personal reasons but quite disappointed in all honesty.

Maiyakat · 18/08/2016 21:40

Went on to start but as my DD is adopted and there is no information on the start page about the security of the site and the photos I did not feel able to use it.

TrollTheRespawnJeremy · 18/08/2016 21:52

I would need a lot better eyesight to be able to view it.... it was a bit labour intensive and dull to be honest.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 18/08/2016 22:57

I have tried it - still waiting for the link - I will come back and comment when it comes.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 18/08/2016 23:12

I am afraid I wasn't terribly impressed by this. Some of the pictures were very small - I am sure I missed at least one.

Sorry.

Quills · 19/08/2016 07:24

Lovely concept, poorly executed. Photos too small and low quality in the video, and I felt like they took second place to the branding throughout. Liked the music though.

Sephipops · 19/08/2016 08:09

Well it didn't work for me. In that I was only able to choose one photo from my phone and then it took me straight to the enter details. Going to be a really interesting Street...

MakeTeaNotWar · 19/08/2016 10:00

nah thought it was poor for all the reasons above plus it took ages to come through in my email so I thought it hadn't worked at all

FoofFighter · 19/08/2016 10:54

great idea but as above, lots of faults! Sorry Cadbury!
Also not linking for privacy reasons.

Boglin · 19/08/2016 16:41

Have to agree with everyone else, it's very poorly executed and actually I don't really understand the point of it, what are you meant to do with it?

I didn't want to upload a personal picture so I chose the album from when we did up our house but it only let me select one image so I had a street of paint samples on a wall! Grin

I wouldn't bother with the tweaks suggested to be honest, I just can't see it taking off even if it was made better. Stick to making chocolate please Cadbury's!

cather · 19/08/2016 16:48

I wasn't impressed, the pictures were small and difficult to see. I also found it kept stopping. It's not something I would use again.
