Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons has just created a new tool where you can upload your favourite pictures and create your own personalised video to celebrate moments shared with your children.

Cadbury would love for you to try it out and create your own Memory Lane with the memories with your kids that you love. So, try out the memory lane tool, and share the link to your own memory lane, or tell us what you thought of the memory lane tool.

All those who either share the link to their memory lane or leave a comment on their experience with it will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £265 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks, and good luck with the prize draw!

I didn't like the concept sorry.

RepentAtLeisure · 19/08/2016 17:38

The trip down memory lane I would really like is if Cadbury's started making chocolate to the right recipe again. I used to love Buttons, pretty much the whole Cadbury's range actually, and it's sad to see the wrappers on shelves now, knowing it's a pale greasy imitation of the original.

Roseformeplease · 19/08/2016 17:53

What a lovely, lovely idea. Needs a few tweaks though.

Ladylucky99 · 19/08/2016 18:56

I just found it incredibly boring and dull. Too slow, pics to small, what's the point. Only 7 pics too!!

Ilovenannyplum · 19/08/2016 19:19

Mine doesn't even open.....

And why does it have to be emailed? Would be better to be able to see it straight away
Hmmmm

jaxcarp78 · 19/08/2016 19:36

Sorry, that was not good. Nice try though

Dolallytats · 19/08/2016 20:43

Like lots of previous posters, great idea but needs tweaking.

emmav6 · 19/08/2016 21:46

such a cute tool! i could walk down here all day www.buttonsmemorylane.co.uk/watch-film/b43e3d55ecaa53623727b3f71db6ba4d0523bacb

Hopezibah · 19/08/2016 21:49

I actually really loved the concept. I wan't to go back and do it again with better photos as i just put in ones i already had on my facebook so didn't have too many good ones to choose from.

It surprised me that it was an actual lane and i liked that as i imagined it would just be a naff putting together all my photos with some music - so that is what actually made it unique and fun and something id love to show the kids.

I can imagine this being tweaked at different times of the year - eg a festive christmas one with the lane all looking christmassy - I think that would be fun.

I quite liked it! The photos worked
Perfectly for me, and it's quite a cool idea, wasn't what I expected. I'd have liked to have been able to 'go' a bit faster, and to have more/bigger pictures. Nice, though!

HitsAndMrs · 20/08/2016 00:38

Not for me. Photos too small and it is similar to facebook's memory photos that fill up my time line.

MrsFrTedCrilly · 20/08/2016 01:28

I'm not sure if I even like the idea, it's a bit old hat like that celebrating your Facebook moments thing and its all been done before...That music is tremendously irritating, whistling nostalgia err no thanks! As everyone has said the pictures are all too small and inappropriately cropped in some cases. Sorry Cadbury just make the chocolate & stick to what you knowChocolateWink

reneesmith · 20/08/2016 01:42

This is a cute idea but a little bit random! Moved too slowly and the pictures were all a bit blurry and low quality. Don't see the point of making this when it's no more enjoyable than just reflecting on the pictures on my laptop. Definitely wouldn't share it on facebook or anything because it's quite personal. Plus doesn't really have anything directly to do with Cadburys? Bit of a let down. Also took too long to make.

renee8100 · 20/08/2016 02:06

The sentiment is definitely special and important! Cadbury's brand does symbolise a lot of happy memories for me and my family, and I think this took reflects that. Could be better quality, but nonetheless I enjoyed it :)

123julie321 · 20/08/2016 02:36

I wanted to like this- I really did!- but I'm highly impatient, and this memory lane played so slowly I might as well just have gone and re-watched all my video memories in less time :P sorry Cadburys! x

jooliewoolie123 · 20/08/2016 02:59

All to often, we rush through life without stopping to reflect on our joyous memories and happy nostalgic moments. This tool may have not been the speediest, fastest, most modern form of reflection, but nonetheless the message it conveys is important in a world of fast paced bustle and technology, and I enjoyed smiling at all the little family reflections. Thanks Cadbury!

TheInternetIsForPorn · 20/08/2016 07:00

How twee. And I agree about the other comments on picture size etc.

To be honest, if you want me to buy Cadbury's chocolate again you'd stop messing about with all your recipes, give us back the cream eggs we like, and generally have more respect for the brand you bought.

This sort of stuff works best when your brand is deeply loved. Which Cadbury's was. Then it was sold. And now your nostalgia has reminded me that you're slowly destroying the chocolate that was one of the best tastes of my childhood.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 20/08/2016 07:44

This is fantastic, from now on instead of showing my friends the boring, full size photos of me in real life or on my phone, i will upload them, wait ages, then slowly let them take a look at small, cropped blurry images on a slow moving CGI street.

It will really liven up my holiday photos from the paint drying convention in great yarmouth.

Sorry - another one unimpressed here. Not sure of when I would ever use it. I take loads of pictures but if I want them in a video format this wouldn't be the way I would do it!

Debsie123 · 20/08/2016 16:09

I think it's a lovely idea but unfortunately the pictures are randomly cropped and one of the pictures just had me instead of me holding my Son. I like the way you can zoom round and look at the pictures but the music is a bit twee. I had to wait about half an hour for it to come through via email which would be fine if I had been able to crop the pictures myself and perhaps add some text on the banners etc. Not something I would use again unless it was improved with text you could add yourself.

Sixfifetree · 20/08/2016 17:33

The idea is a lovely one but it simply doesn't work well. Did anyone at Cadbury's actually give it a go first?

Evelyn93 · 20/08/2016 19:17

Like many have said, great idea, not carried out very well.
A lot of messing around for a very underwhelming outcome.
Parts of photos cut off, with no option to adjust. Poor image quality on all size images tried.
Given the array of apps and programs out with by far tidier graphics I'm confident theres a much better online tool with a much more personal warm fuzzy feeling from the finished article.

AalyaSecura · 20/08/2016 19:36

Too slow and not worth it in the end. I agree that I'm not sure what I'd do with this, I can't imagine sharing it with others.
