With Father’s Day coming up, Cadbury’s Buttons have asked us to find out about the everyday shared moments you see between your partner and kids that make you smile.

Is it watching them horse around outdoors? Or seeing them cuddled up on the sofa reading a story? Maybe it’s when you see them do something that makes you realise how alike they are. Whatever the interaction is, let Cadbury’s Buttons know below.

All MNers who post on this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Note: please feel free to share interactions between your children and your wider family or other adults in their lives.

Thanks, and good luck!

I love it when DH and DS are so engrossed in their model railway set, it's so lovely to see them have quality time together, doing such a wonderful project, DH puts the old-fashioned touches to the set, and DS, adds the more modern touches, like having the little people at the station talking on their mobile phones! I often am welling up watching them through the door, in their little train drivers hats! :)

When my husband comes in from work he shouts 'hello lovely family!' and my 10 month old grins in his highchair and starts wiggling around to get out and see his Dad. Then his Dad picks him up and gives him a kiss and a big hug. So happy my son is growing up in a household where there is affection and hugs!

When my other half and son are getting ready to go fishing together, they both have such a love for fishing and it's the excitement of getting everything ready and packed for the trip!

We have three boys ages 5, 8 and 10 and they are all creative like their father. I love watching my DH sit for hours srawing and colouring with the boys, or building Lego creations. They get lost in their own world and it's lovely to see.

After a long and tiring day at work my darling husband loves to have a relaxing hour with our 3 girls.
Nothing better than a sight like this makes me smile.

My daughter and her dad have always had a close relationship. They share the same personality , in fact they are very similar. Possibly because her dad was on her wave length. They make up little games and songs and giggle with each other as if nobody else would understand.

it's all about the silly voices and the laughs they produce. mine don't seem to cut it.

The boys have always been excited when "Daddy's home". They fling themselves at the door to get to him first and cling on to his legs as he's trying to come in. :)

I love seeing our 3 year olds face light up when he hears Daddy come in from work during our bedtime routine and then seeing them have their little bedtime chat where he always asks Daddy 'what made you smile today?'
Or when he is excited to play dragons and tells Daddy which one he is to use.
Or when they walk the dog together with a leader each.
Or when they do the gardening together.
Or just the times when I look over and see them smiling at each other with love in both of their eyes.

So many precious moments.

Every evening when my 14 month old daughter hears my husband coming in from work she shouts 'Dada' while holding her arms out for a hug. It's very sweet.

I love watching my partner and son watching football. They are poles apart in age yet they can enjoy a sport together. They even say the same things at the same time.
