We’ve been asked by Cadbury Buttons to find out about the everyday precious moments you share with your child, that fill you with joy.

So, what are your everyday shared moments of joy? Perhaps it's singing along in the car to a favourite tune or re-reading a favourite book together? Maybe it's watching a favourite movie together for the umpteenth time, or that last cuddle before they go to sleep?

Whatever your shared moments of joy are, please share them with Cadbury Buttons (and each other!) below. If you have any pictures of these moments, please feel free to share them below, we’d love to see them! All MNers who post on this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Please note your posts and images may be included on Cadbury's pages on MN, their social media channels, and possibly elsewhere, so please only post if you're comfortable with this.

Thanks, and good luck!

Leaving DS1's room at bedtime, he says "n'night, loves you, have a lovely sleep." Melts my heart every time.

RubyGoat · 22/05/2016 20:57

I love bedtime, as DD is starting to recognise a few words, (& has also memorised a lot of her books), so she's a lot more involved now when I read to her. Plus I get a massive long cuddle as she goes to sleep.

pfcpompeysarah · 22/05/2016 20:58

My treasured moments are when my son comes up to me for cuddles without being asked for one, or when he does something for me which is totally unexpected, like get my bag and coat for me in prep for the school run, so sweet.

Cailin7 · 22/05/2016 21:17

out running on the beach with our dog

lhlee62 · 22/05/2016 21:30

We love walking to nursery together, we sing, look at the birds, animals, pick wild flowers and plan what we are going to do. It was great when it was her birthday as she had some really extravagant ideas! Grin

I enjoy the bedtime story time, so peaceful and no distractions, it is our time.

dadshere · 22/05/2016 22:22

My special time is after bath snuggles, when we have washed all the stresses of the day away and I get to have a last cuddle before bedtime. Bliss!

Tkw2014 · 22/05/2016 23:02

I love snuggling up sharing a good story together

AutumnElla · 22/05/2016 23:23

The way they will just come out with "I love you mammy" or when I pick them up after work and they'll run up to me and wrap their arms around my legs.

whitbyranger · 23/05/2016 04:48

I love seeing the children playing outside: the garden, the beach and the countryside. The sense of enjoyment and freedom makes my heart warm.

maursieq · 23/05/2016 07:38

when their faces light up when you actually say yes to something when you normally say no!

barbsbarbs · 23/05/2016 07:52

I have to be honest everyday is the best with the kids, they are the reason I do everything, from having meals together, to playing football in the garden, to making crafts to going on long waLKs and picnics, its all really good.

winterpark · 23/05/2016 08:04

I love cuddling up and watching a movie before bed.

finleypop · 23/05/2016 08:24

Our son jumping into bed with us in the mornings

lizd31 · 23/05/2016 08:35

I'm disabled & housebound & live alone so my great niece Olivia is my little sweetheart & any time spent with her is precious as I don't live nearby. Her smile melts my heart & her cuddles are just the best. I love to watch her chasing around the garden talking to the fairies in the fairy garden I made for her in her GG & Grandpa's garden & she never fails to make me laugh. Her Mummy has just had a new baby with her new partner & Olivia told us that Mummy bought him for her from ASDA :)

going for a walk. the first ten minutes, they sulk for being dragged out, the next ten minutes they winge about being tired, the next thirty minutes they talk and talk, and talk, about all sorts of stuff, and then we are home. I love it

Bostin · 23/05/2016 09:16

My youngest cannot get through the day without a few long cuddles from me. I say she is cuddle powered. We always have one first thing in the morning and she is still at that stage when she cuddles with her whole body. Long may it continue.
My oldest questions everything and everyone which can be a challenge. But then she'll come out with a totally off the wall question like 'I wonder what rabbits think about when they are digging' (she's 6) and it's lovely that she has such an inquiring mind.

roggy45 · 23/05/2016 10:00

I love having everyone sitting round the meal table. It is a great way to catch up and chat and have fun together. No tv, no tech just food and talk.

buddyboy1966 · 23/05/2016 10:16

the moment they take the last sip from the bottle, the look on their content sleepy face, and the warmness of their little body whilst you've fed them x

createbeauty · 23/05/2016 10:27

I love watching my son play when he doesn't realise I am paying attention. The conversations he pretends to have are so intelligent and clever, I'm always left smiling and surrounded in a warm feeling.

helsrodders · 23/05/2016 10:35

When my children tell me a joke that they think is hilarious ... the same joke that I remember telling my mum when I was a child that I also thought hilarious. I laugh of course, but for a different reason than my children think.

Swimpy1982 · 23/05/2016 11:06

My daily moment of joy is story time before bed. I love reading to her and having her join in, it just reminds me how clever she is and how she's learning new things all the time. It's the longest she'll let me cuddle with her as she's very much a daddy's girl.

Elizasmum02 · 23/05/2016 11:56

We read together every evening and i love these moments and how my kids associate love with books so they have love for books !!

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 23/05/2016 12:11

I always creep into DS's (8.5) room to give him a sneaky kiss before I go to bed. Sometimes he stirs a bit and reaches out his arms for a cuddle when he's still asleep.
He's getting a bit gangly and cool during the day but he's still my baby when he's sleeping. Grin

Jade5093 · 23/05/2016 15:51

Everything I check on my kids before I go to bed and see them fast asleep my heart skips a beat ❤❤❤
