We’ve been asked by Cadbury Buttons to find out about the everyday precious moments you share with your child, that fill you with joy.

So, what are your everyday shared moments of joy? Perhaps it's singing along in the car to a favourite tune or re-reading a favourite book together? Maybe it's watching a favourite movie together for the umpteenth time, or that last cuddle before they go to sleep?

Whatever your shared moments of joy are, please share them with Cadbury Buttons (and each other!) below. If you have any pictures of these moments, please feel free to share them below, we’d love to see them! All MNers who post on this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Please note your posts and images may be included on Cadbury's pages on MN, their social media channels, and possibly elsewhere, so please only post if you're comfortable with this.

Thanks, and good luck!

Bedtime stories and cuddles, always a happy end to any day.

littleme96 · 17/05/2016 12:43

When I go in to kiss them goodnight just before I go to bed and they stir just enough to say "night, love you more...". Just adorable and I always leave with a little smile.

Elliecherry · 17/05/2016 12:45

When we play silly games and we all end up with the giggles :)
Hugs are also pure joy

LucyBo17 · 17/05/2016 13:34

I love sleepy cuddles with my little one and kisses before I leave for work.

BreconBeBuggered · 17/05/2016 13:36

Playing a game of doggy-in-the-middle with a ball and an excitable terrier, who usually wins because we're too distracted by laughter.

grumpymummy3 · 17/05/2016 13:38

Smiles, laughing and cuddles and all sat down together on a Saturday night to watch TV together.

itshappenedagain · 17/05/2016 15:55

Finishing school on a sunny day and going swimming, brings joy to my dd, DS and myself. Even more joyful as they are tired and go to sleep earlier!

cookie09 · 17/05/2016 19:37

Everyday me and my twins share moments of joy. They were 9 weeks premature so very poorly, everyday was hard but they pulled through and have turned out into perfect little nuisances. Just waking up everyday knowing that they are here and mine makes me smile. We have our little happy moments in the car and at the weekend where we all have a little sing a long, me with my glass of wine WineGrin and the boys with their pepsi. My partner (the kids step dad) always says oh no the Von Trapp family are at it again, if anything it eggs us on even more :D

sweir1 · 17/05/2016 19:42

i love picking them up from school and hearing all about what they have made!

buckley1983 · 17/05/2016 21:59

I love moments of pure silliness with my LO! He is 3 & is full of giggles! We often play a game we call 'Watch my face!' where you shout that phrase & then make a ridiculous face & pose - the next person does the same until we're all falling about laughing like a set of fools!
He is just getting into playing card games - our favourites are snap & matching pairs. We were playing earlier & making up silly names for the animals on the snap cards - we were both laughing madly & it felt like such a naturally joyful moment :)

rhinosuze · 17/05/2016 22:05

Cuddling to sleep, perfect

lhlee62 · 17/05/2016 22:10

I love the mornings, well most morning as my daughter occasionally gets up too early, but most morning she gets up past 7am and wakes me up by kissing my face!

stealthsquiggle · 17/05/2016 22:24

The fact that my 13yo DS still wants to pile on the sofa on top of with me to watch TV and that we can end up helpless with laughter at shared silly jokes.

9yo DD is a little trickier right now but the big hugs are still pretty good Grin

beckyinman · 17/05/2016 22:41

Giggles at the snooker on the TV

Mozarmstrong · 17/05/2016 22:50

Falling asleep after bedtime story and cuddle pure magical moment.

ladygoingGaga · 18/05/2016 06:56

That lovely moment when I go to 'tuck him in' each night. Sometimes I catch that wonderful few minutes when he has just dozed off and I get a chance to kiss his forehead without him pulling away, or wing off my kiss!
Even better though is when he slightly stirs and mutters 'love you' in response.
I skip down the stairs then, makes me very grateful for being a mum.

asuwere · 18/05/2016 09:45

I love first thing in the morning when DS (1) climbs into my bed and snuggles right in, its lovely (even when it's 5am!)
Also love it when we're all together and start laughing at something so silly, it's just nice to enjoy having fun together. :)

tumbleouttabed · 18/05/2016 09:53

My DD (aged 3) coming home from nursery delighted that she had been chosen as the 'special helper' and asked to put out the coloured plates and cups for lunch and tea.

supermariossister · 18/05/2016 14:18

It sounds strange but i really like the afternoon school run, there are no interuptions and other things to be doing so we can just chat and share our days there, this morning for the first time in a long time ds came into my room early morning and got into bed, time seems to be flying lately and he needs me less and less so these moments are precious!

Mrswhatsisname · 18/05/2016 17:12

My son often creeps into our bed at night and curls up between us. He has to be touching both of us before he settles and sleeps, it's very comforting!

Larnipoo · 18/05/2016 17:44

My 8 year old is autistic so when he's into something he's into it 110%. Recently he watched a SpongeBob SquarePants episode when Patrick made a board game. Sure enough my son then wants to make a board game. He's so creative (me and hubby are science/math brains do he doesn't get it from us). He is always full of surprises and takes us and his grandparents on all sorts of weird and wacky adventures. Pure joy everyday Smile

littlemonkey5 · 18/05/2016 17:50

My PMMs (proudest mummy moments) are when my DCs come up with something totally brilliant....

DD1 and I were looking at our newborn kittens when DD1 turns to me and asks where babies come from. I tell her that mummy and daddy have a special cuddle and a baby starts to grow in mummy's tummy. DD1 takes a moment, turns to me and says 'Now Mummy, that isn't the whole truth now is it?' DD1, aged 2.

I took DS2 to the garden centre where there is also an aquatic centre. I lift DS2 up to look inside the raised pond. DS2 (at the top of his voice) shouts 'Wow! Look at that humongous fish!!!'...... I ask DS2 what humongous means 'Very very big Mummy, just like that fish down there!' (we were looking at the giant koi). The people across from us were stunned.
DS2, aged 3.

DS2 & Mummy: Mummy 'What does 1 add 1 make?' DS2 2 Mummy what does 2 add 1 make? DS2 3, Mummy what does 3 add 1 make? DS2 3..... Mummy Really? Are you sure? DS2 chuckle, No Mummy, I'm joking, it is 4!
DS2, aged 3.......

DS2 & Daddy: Daddy DS2, I said No! DS2 But I said Yes! Daddy I said no and no means no! DS2 Well, yes is better than no so I think we should sit down and talk about this......
DS2, aged 3.

He doesn't start school until Sept 2017.......

oneplus2is3 · 18/05/2016 19:54
  1. When I leave them all (DD1 age 3 and DTs age 1) and pop out to kitchen and come back to find them giggling and playing together in a circle (usually DD1 entertaining the twins who look at her adoringly as if she's the best thing ever).
  1. When I come home from work and there is a race to get to mummy first!
hann24 · 18/05/2016 21:31

Feeling their little hand grab mine when something frightens them.

Iamthemotherofdragons · 19/05/2016 10:01

Watching my baby's face light up when she sees her big sister and hearing them giggle together.
