We’ve been asked by Cadbury Buttons to find out about the everyday precious moments you share with your child, that fill you with joy.

So, what are your everyday shared moments of joy? Perhaps it's singing along in the car to a favourite tune or re-reading a favourite book together? Maybe it's watching a favourite movie together for the umpteenth time, or that last cuddle before they go to sleep?

Whatever your shared moments of joy are, please share them with Cadbury Buttons (and each other!) below. If you have any pictures of these moments, please feel free to share them below, we’d love to see them! All MNers who post on this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Please note your posts and images may be included on Cadbury's pages on MN, their social media channels, and possibly elsewhere, so please only post if you're comfortable with this.

My DS waking me up with a nose rub, every morning without fail.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 19/05/2016 11:56

When your son, who overtops you by several inches, gives you a huge bear-hug!

Ethan260908 · 19/05/2016 13:55

Anything from holding hands on the way to and from school and chatting about nothing, to, playing hide and seek, to going to the local park, playing kerbsy, having a BBQ and to last but not least saying I love you and smiling to him and my dc realising that I do

feeona123 · 19/05/2016 17:10

Seeing my little girl playing with her kitchen and making it look like real life!

Getting a smile and a giggle from my 5 month old baby.

Mine is the simple pleasure of taking my son to our local county park and wandering about taking note of the nature all around us, he loves watching the wildlife, collecting leaves or sticks, feeding the ducks, naming all the colours of the plants in the walled garden and in the summer he loves to picnic amongst it all

Laflouder · 19/05/2016 21:42

In the summer, we like to make the most of the light evenings and fit in a walk to the beach or along the cliffs before bed. I love these warm evening moments walking along chatting about the littlest things with my two boys and laughing together. On weekends we sometimes take milk and biscuits and have a evening picnic too.

My ds has autism and doesn't like to be touched, much less hugged but he does allow me to place a kiss on a certain spot on the top of his head when he feels up for it.Those kisses for me mean the world and have kept me going through some very tough times.
With dd who also has autism our special times come when we sing together whilst she plays piano,we feel bonded then and afterwards dd feels relaxed and will communicate more freely.

starlight36 · 20/05/2016 13:32

Group family hugs at the door before Daddy leaves to go to work. DS usually bossily demanding the order of goodbye kisses!

MERLYPUSSEDOFF · 20/05/2016 17:30

Making up daft songs or changing the words to pop songs so we can sing about breakfast, or a dog that looked like a pig, or random stuff that makes me laugh. I will then be singing it all day.

BurstMyBubbles · 20/05/2016 20:26

My son is 12 now and often working at his desk, he won't let me come past without a little hug, high 5 or hair ruffle. I took him to his first gig, of music I like and he knew all the words 😀

flamingtoaster · 20/05/2016 22:31

One of my favourite daily moments of joy has always been when we all sit round the table together for meals chatting. The moment that almost reduced me to tears happened when DS was 3 and DD was nine months old. DS was lying on the floor reading a book and DD crawled over to him and planted a big kiss on his forehead. DS lookup up at me and, with a huge smile and his eyes shining, said "Mummy, she loves me!"

TheBigRedBoat · 21/05/2016 08:32

Weekend mornings. We don't have any of the rush getting ready for school/work and the girls come into my bed and we have a snuggle, watch a show or read a book or have a mini dance party before we get up.

ha2el · 21/05/2016 13:35

Unconscious chatter between little ones is my absolute joy.

MerlinsBeard87 · 21/05/2016 15:15

Dinner times with my 1 year old son. I'm not the greatest cook but he always accepts my questionable offerings with such enthusiasm!

clopper · 21/05/2016 15:47

My dd is nearly 14. I love it that when I get in from work she just talks at me for about 15 mins without drawing breath all about the ups and downs, disappointments and successes of her day at school. I really appreciate that as a teen she still wants to share and communicate even though my head spins with it all. So different from the older two DC who were just grunting at me at this age and reluctant to share any news or opinions.

Gazelda · 21/05/2016 17:17

Holding hands when we go for a walk. I love her little hands.

wooohooo · 21/05/2016 20:39

Every day I come home from work my son asks me how my day went,When I say I love you he answers I love you more

CointreauVersial · 21/05/2016 23:26

Mine are big teens now, but we always sit down together for meals. Breakfast today was hilarious, lots of banter, and I looked around the table and just wanted to bottle that lovely feeling - my family, laughing together.

daisyduke66 · 22/05/2016 00:23

The very best moments of joy are those ridiculously early mornings when awakened at perhaps three or four in the morning with one or maybe more of my children and ending up downstairs on the sofa, popping on a Disney film and cuddling up together under a blanket. These moments are, quite often, accompanied by some sneaky Chocolate Buttons..for medicinal purposes only!😃

lucyrobinson · 22/05/2016 08:04

I love bedtimes when they are snuggled in their pjs and having a story. It is the time they talk about their day and if they have any worries.

Maclairey · 22/05/2016 12:21

I love the time after bathtime just before bed when they are both really relaxed and all the hyperactivity from the day has dissipated. We have lots of cuddles and kisses and stories and its lovely. Even more so on the 3 days I have been at work. I am acutely aware that these special moments wont always be there.

CraftyPenguin · 22/05/2016 12:53

When we've been out and about and very busy, that moment when we get home and dd has a breastfeed. She's frantic with anticipation, but the second she latches on she calms down and gazes into my eyes and I feel so close to her.

glennamy · 22/05/2016 18:13

The moments I love the most are when I tell bedtime stories, i make them up as I go and they are really silly, but they make DD giggle so much, although that's not ideal for bedtime she always drops off within 15 to 20 minutes at most. Such a fantastic routine we have and it is priceless!

Marg2k8 · 22/05/2016 18:18

My children are older now, but I still love shared conversations, whether over the phone or in person.
