In the run-up to the release of ‘The Angry Birds Movie’, from Sony Pictures, we are very excited to announce a new addition to the range of emoticons on Mumsnet – The Angry Bird! Angry Bird

The Angry Birds Movie Synopsis:

In the 3D animated comedy, The Angry Birds Movie, we'll finally find out why the birds are so angry. The movie takes us to an island populated entirely – or almost entirely- by happy, flightless birds. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis, We're the Millers, Horrible Bosses), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad in his first animated role since Frozen), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride, This Is the End, Eastbound and Down) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to this trio of unlikely outcasts to work out what the pigs are up to.

You can read more about the film here.

To celebrate, Sony Pictures want to hear your best ‘Angry Bird Moments’. So do share them here - whether it be your biggest pet peeve, a moment that got your feathers well and truly ruffled, or something that made you want to break everything in the room, in true Angry Birds style!

I definitely turn into an ANGRY BIRD when I have to tackle the school prep in the morning, having to hurry DS up and get there on time, which is no easy task!!

[Angrybird] Any moments spent in the supermarket car park. Special mention to those Delicate Little Flowers in their brand new shiny cars that park in the mother and baby spots because they don't want to damage them (yes i'm aware that mother and baby spaces are a whole can of worms)

compy99 · 10/05/2016 22:49

people with bad manners or just plain rudeness get me in a flap!

Tissue left in trousers that go through the wash. Everyone in my house is old enough to be checking their own pockets Angry Bird

My BIGGEST Angry Bird moment was 13th July 1985 when I planned my day to the minute so I could record Live Aid on my very modern (at the time) video recorder.

Feeling very smug after nipping home on 3 hour intervals to change the tape & not missing one and pressed play to review some of the concert I had recorded.
When ............Arhhhh I had only hit play instead so all tapes throughout the day were blank :o(

Angry bird again tonight as my Angry Bird emotions won't work

The most public angry bird moment was when my pregnant self, husband and three small children were flying back from Thailand.

We went through check in and got called early to the gate on account of our small children. They checked our passports, then when we got to the tunnel to board we only had four passports. I checked my pockets and bags.... Nothing.

The check in guy must have taken it. I started off calm, asking what he's done with it. "Nothing madam, I definitely gave it back" he replied with a sincere smile. "Omg he's stolen our passport" I told my husband. It was st this point my husband realised that I was about to explode, heavy, pregnant, in public, frightened we couldn't board and with small children my nerves were limited.
My temper went, I began shouting loudly in public to the most reasonable man you could meet. He offered to help find it.

I was convinced he must have put it somewhere, I had checked everywhere. "Why did he want a child's passport?" I thought.
"Get your manager!" I exclaimed.
"Sure madam I can see you're distressed, please take a seat"
As a say I felt something hard in the back pocket of my maternity trousers. Oh shoot.

I had put the damn thing in my pocket. I burst into tears, apologised precisely and sent a letter of apology and thanks when I got home.

I have to restrain my Angry Bird when it is remarked by my daughters friends' fathers on how it must be great to put my feet up all day while my daughter is at school...
I worked very hard for 20 years to get into a position where i could support my wife's return to work by taking over as primary carer. Now i still have a full schedule between the before and after school activities, i have all the usual jobs, plus setting up a small dog walking business.
I barely have time to write this... Angry Bird

Cambam2010 · 11/05/2016 10:40

What really turns me into an Angry Bird is when I run out of time. Time is so precious to me and I just don't have enough of it. I get easily frustrated and panicky when dead lines are due and unfortunately I take it out on those around me.

jacd77 · 11/05/2016 13:36

when my so called best mate decided 2 weeks before we were meant to leave for a holiday of a lifetime that she didn't want to go, forget angry bird.....more like fuming bird!!

My Angry at Bird moment was when an Angry Bird flew in the bathroom window and decided to poop all over our toothbrush holder and the sink then fly into the hallway and refuse to fly out, it took three people best part of an hour to coax it back out of the window leaving a trail of poop in it's path

mave · 11/05/2016 18:15

Bad manners.
Bad drivers.

Flanderspigeonmurderer · 11/05/2016 21:06

I had a bit of an angry birds moment today with my steam mop. In my defence I didn't buy it my husband did. I got so fed up of trying to attach the cloth to the mop head that I ended up smashing it on the floor. It's ok it still works! I was in a very bad mood today!

catsoup · 11/05/2016 21:09

My Angry Bird moment was when I was in a foul mood anyway and went to the shop for some treats to cheer myself up. I was walking across the road, halfway across a zebra crossing when a car came round the corner looking like it wasn't going to stop.

I took a tantrum and started flailing my arms up in the air, shouting. 'I'm here! In the middle of the road! You're too fast. To fast! '. The driver looked totally shocked and was very apologetic but stomped off shaking my head, muttering myself all the way home.

Just picture this Angry Bird waving two carrier bags in the air and you've got the gist.

MY Angry bird moment was when one of my chickens went broody and I tried to coax her off the (unfertilised) egg she was sitting on. Nearly lost my hand!!
