In the run-up to the release of ‘The Angry Birds Movie’, from Sony Pictures, we are very excited to announce a new addition to the range of emoticons on Mumsnet – The Angry Bird! Angry Bird

The Angry Birds Movie Synopsis:

In the 3D animated comedy, The Angry Birds Movie, we'll finally find out why the birds are so angry. The movie takes us to an island populated entirely – or almost entirely- by happy, flightless birds. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis, We're the Millers, Horrible Bosses), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad in his first animated role since Frozen), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride, This Is the End, Eastbound and Down) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to this trio of unlikely outcasts to work out what the pigs are up to.

You can read more about the film here.

To celebrate, Sony Pictures want to hear your best ‘Angry Bird Moments’. So do share them here - whether it be your biggest pet peeve, a moment that got your feathers well and truly ruffled, or something that made you want to break everything in the room, in true Angry Birds style!

As an extra challenge, try to work the new emoticon into your post.

I absolutely hate when cashiers put my change ON TOP of my note....I then nearly end up dropping all of my coins. I make it blatantly obvious and go way overboard when I start putting my money back in my purse. Put the change in my hand and the notes on TOP!!

My angrybird moments usually happen at home:

  • empty toilet roll left on the holder
  • empty packaging left in cupboard (when I am actually craving for a chocolate biscuit!) or in the freezer (for an ice-cream moment which obviously cannot happen!)
  • dirty laundry or wet towels left on the floor

The list can be longer but the above situations really get me!

Ok so, I'd just come out of hospital after having my son (a c section) and I parked in the mother & baby section of tesco! I came back and some idiot had parked on the lined section right next to my car, I couldn't get my son in his car seat into the car, I had to leave him outside, reverse slightly, then I was able to get him in, I was so angry it's a good job the person never came back to their car, otherwise I'd have exploded at them, as I was reversing I "accidentally" knocked their wing mirror off!! Angry Bird

don't get me started - the list is enormous !

I'm Angry Bird when my youngest stops in the street for no reason - always when I'm in a rush.

I turn into an Angry Bird when I look at the house and see the many things that need doing.

My most frequent Angry Bird moment, though, is having to sit between my boys to stop them hitting, kicking & shouting at each other. I'm doing it now !!!

Loved the film and how gorgeous is the Picturehouse cinema ?!?! Thanks for choosing us to go.

My Angry Bird moment is when i am in a queue at a supermarket waiting to put my items on the conveyor, the person in front of me decides that they have forgotten something and have to go running around the shop to add it to their shop, baring in mind they have done a shop for a month anyway and I've been standing there forever. Then once they finally get to the end they decide to pull out a wad of vouchers for money off everything in their shop. Only happens to me!! I always pick that wrong queue i could scream, especially when you have your 2 children beating 10 rounds out of one another... My way around this is now to shop online but even still i have moments where the supermarket website plays up and i could just put a hammer through my laptop screen... Arghhh Angry Bird Angry Bird Angry Bird Angry Bird Angry Bird

Mobile phones, or more to the point, people who continually text while driving, walking, pushing baby buggies, crossing roads and not paying attention to anything that is of danger around them. Makes me so angry, that I shout if they look like they are going to bump into me. Seeing them jump, however pleases me, ha haaaaa!!!

My angrybird moments usually relate to:

Cold calls when I am in the middle of cooking.

Occasions like today when DH having taken a large coffee table out into the garden to sand for refinishing, sanded it beautifully but then carried his work apron through the house to the garage instead of taking it round the outside, dropping fine sanding stuff everywhere as he went. I even had to clean the garden bench he had left it on earlier as it was absolutely covered with the fine sandings.

People lying whether online or in real life.

My [angry bird] moments include when DH gets toothpaste on the towels or fails to put them back in the rail. Also when I spend ages ironing clothes to find them screwed up in the wardrobes.

I have lots of Angry Bird moments, that are minor, my most recent is trying to get hold of my Drs at 8am, I had my mobile and the house phone ringing, it took 83 redials (and twenty mins) to get through. When I finally did I was confronted by the receptionist who wanted to know if I was sure I needed an emergency appointment. I was very polite but after if hung up wanted to stomp around and throw the phone at something. Argh!!!!
