Easter is nearly upon us and to celebrate, the team at Cadbury want to hear what you’re up to! Whether it’s cooking a roast at home, taking part in one of over 250 Cadbury egg hunts at National Trust places around the UK, hosting your own hunt, or going on a trip away, Cadbury would love to hear what it is.

So please share your Easter plans with Cadbury by posting on this thread. Everyone who posts will be entered into a prize draw where one Mumsnetter will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

In addition to this, we’ll be awarding 10 Family Day passes to National Trust places across the UK!

Extra training means extra Chocolate of course Smile

We have friends visiting from overseas so we're looking forward to an Easter egg hunt with them. We'll use the long weekend to go walking with the dog enjoying the springtime and to do some baking, including our annual batch of Mini Egg Easter Nests Smile

Despite being well into his teens, DS insists on an indoor treasure hunt, with cryptic clues leading from place to place. I put the Easter mug at the start, he collects the chocolate eggs and bunnies as he goes round, and at the end we have boiled eggs for breakfast in the special Easter egg cups.
The funny thing is he's not that mad on the actual chocolate, I think he enjoys the fact that I spend ages thinking up clues.

We'll be having a quiet weekend at home with the family for a roast meal on Sunday, Easter Eggs of course, feel good movies and a walk round the local lake when the sun shines.

PussCatTheGoldfish · 04/03/2016 21:36

I'm Catholic so will be going to Mass, followed by an egg hunt with the children at home.

We'll then go to a big family gathering at my parent's house with a fantastic Burmese curry and lots of desserts. There's good company, good conversation and another egg hunt. I love Easter!

Mummageddon · 05/03/2016 05:13

We'll be doing an Easter egg hunt round the house. My son is three this year so I'm going to try drawing some clues for him to follow.

Family days. Good Friday trip to the beach and big family roast with egg hunt!

BoxofSnails · 05/03/2016 11:33

I'm a Christian, so Easter is a big faith celebration, more important than Christmas to me. Friday is a somber service, and Sunday a jubilant one. I've responsibilities at both services. The mood tends to affect the weekend - Easter Saturday is pretty empty. I'll have family and friends around for lunch on Easter Sunday, and I always make Mary Berry's Easter Pavlova which has homemade lemon curd and mini eggs in! (It reappears by popular request). I make eggs using some moulds I got from Lakeland a few years ago - they work brilliantly and make lovely gifts. We often go to Martin Mere WWT on Easter Monday.

I will get up when my toddler wakes up. Probably around 6.30. She will cry till I give her her Weetabix. She will insist on feeding herself. Weetabix will fly everywhere and adhere like concrete to the table, floor and walls. In the mean time I will wash my citalopram down with a strong coffee. I will then acquiesce to her every whim until her nap time when I will have a shower and maybe wash my hair if Easter falls on a day when I wash my hair (it's every other day so the odds are 50/50). While she's asleep I shall be reminded of the fact that it's Easter, probably by the TV and think how nice it would be to pig out on a bag of mini eggs but, alas, I can't because I'm doing slimming world.

Eventually the toddler wakes up and the events of the morning are repeated until bedtime.

The end.

My two little boys plus their cousin will be coming to ours for an Easter egg hunt. They are at cute and wee stage so there should be some good photo ops and I think the mums/dads will enjoy just as much, if not more. In the garden if it's not rainy, in the house. We will do a roast dinner and then 'help' them eat the chocolate!

Lori1988 · 05/03/2016 15:11

Well stuffing myself like a pig with Cadburysome chocolate of coarse duhWink

Buttons23 · 05/03/2016 15:21

We will be doing Easter crafts and baking over the Easter weekend. Easter Sunday also falls on what would have been my dad's birthday so am going to my stepmum's where we will have dinner, drink lots and toast dad's birthday. Will also do a egg hunt for my ds at one point.

IonaAilidh11 · 05/03/2016 15:28

easter hunt, long walk then full roast for dinner

Maclairey · 05/03/2016 17:02

Well its also my birthday that weekend so lots of celebrations. I think we will combine a trip to the zoo with some Easter baking and hopefully a nice lunch out somewhere. My two children are a bit young for Easter egg hunts but thats most definitely something I am looking forward to as they get older.

essexchic · 05/03/2016 17:09

I am looking forward to a first Easter with my baby grandson, at 8 months old he wont understand but Nanny with and will get him a big fluffy toy bunny and i will enjoy the chocolate for him!

daisypickles · 05/03/2016 17:13

My family go to my sister's every year, she lives on the lough shore. We all go for a big walk, then back to her house for the annual egg hunt in the garden...all the kids running wild collecting dozens of eggs. Then we have dinner(usually another full turkey & ham dinner) and I make the cupcakes for after...just bliss :)

It's my great niece Olivia's birthday at Easter & I'm going to spend a few days with my family. She's only 3 this time but she loves to help around the house so I've got her a kiddies baking kit so she can help make her own birthday cake which she'll love. She also loves playing in her Grandpa & GG's garden so we're going to hide chocolate eggs in her little fairy garden

Ganne1 · 05/03/2016 17:16

We used to hide mini eggs around the house, but I think the children are too old now. Eihter way, we're probably too fed up with tidying the house afterwards! So I suppose we'll just be relaxing with a quiet country walk.

Faith1976 · 05/03/2016 17:18

We will be doing lots of Easter crafts such as decorating eggs as well as eating them. Lots of baking too making Easter egg nests, Easter cakes and visiting family

vakioaf · 05/03/2016 17:22

I'm just going to spend time with family and friends and maybe eat a little bit of chocolate too.

Eblessing · 05/03/2016 17:25

We will be having an Easter egg hunt with all the family, like every year. I think the adults have more fun than the children!

Mozarmstrong · 05/03/2016 17:25

amanda08 · 05/03/2016 17:32

We are planning on hitting up Blackpool Pleasure beach, before returning home and having a chocolate easter egg fest! :-D

kenshutt · 05/03/2016 17:33

Just decorating this Easter.

kamaxtra · 05/03/2016 17:33

Nothing in particular, although there will, of course, be some chocolate involved. :)
