Easter is nearly upon us and to celebrate, the team at Cadbury want to hear what you’re up to! Whether it’s cooking a roast at home, taking part in one of over 250 Cadbury egg hunts at National Trust places around the UK, hosting your own hunt, or going on a trip away, Cadbury would love to hear what it is.

So please share your Easter plans with Cadbury by posting on this thread. Everyone who posts will be entered into a prize draw where one Mumsnetter will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

In addition to this, we’ll be awarding 10 Family Day passes to National Trust places across the UK!

Please note your comments may be included on Cadbury's pages on MN, their social media channels, and possibly elsewhere, so please only post if you're comfortable with this.

Thanks and good luck!

We will be visiting family and having Easter Egg hunts round the house, plus we'll take DD to one at the local museum. We don't do loads of crafts at Easter, we treat it a bit like Christmas (without all the presents!) and try to see family.

WelliesTheyAreWonderful · 02/03/2016 17:46

Lovely church service, cup of tea afterwards then rolling our eggs down a hill in the local gardens. Treasure hunt in the back garden then bbq!

GetKnitted · 02/03/2016 18:42

Having a lie in, spending time with family and friends

marymanc · 02/03/2016 18:44

We will be going to visit my parents in Italy. Usually Easter is a big time in Italy and the weather is very nice. I can't wait.

LobsterQuadrille · 02/03/2016 19:07

Spending time with a large and varied (and mad) family, who range in age from 91 down to 1. Hiding eggs for my daughter to find, cheating with a couple so that she'll never find them and polishing those ones off on my own. Followed a few days later by filling at least one kitchen cupboard with all the cut-price supermarket eggs as soon as they go on sale ....

ButterflyOfFreedom · 02/03/2016 19:28

We're going away in the week leading up to Easter which we don't normally do so that will be a nice break.
Easter Sunday will involve an Easter Egg Hunt followed by consuming all found eggs!
I'll probably cook a roast dinner (rare in our house!) so that will be a treat too.
Easter Monday we're having some family over to visit for the day which will involve more eating and more chocolate eggs!

FeelingSmurfy · 02/03/2016 19:31

Easter egg hunts, one for the kids and one for the big kids Grin we complained when it was stopped due to the youngest turning 16, so it started up again with an added one when babies came along

Jodiekins22 · 02/03/2016 19:42

Usually Easter falls on or near my youngest's birthday but this time it's a whole week before the event so for the first Easter in ten years we'll be doing just what we want to be doing, eating chocolate being top of the priority list for the children :)

purplepandas · 02/03/2016 19:47

Off to Legoland! Not very Easter like but will plan an egg hunt for our return.

pinkspideruk · 02/03/2016 19:59

We are doing an easter egg hunt (even if its muddy and rainy which is likely in Wales!) the wellies and coats are coming on and we are going out :D

I am also going to teach the kids how to 'blow out' eggs and then we will decorate them

Frolicacid · 02/03/2016 20:23

Easter is always about a big family roast for us. It's my favourite holiday - just like Christmas, but about a million times less stressful- but still with plenty of chocolate 🙂

Misseuropadiscodancer · 02/03/2016 20:41

We love Easter in our house, almost more than Christmas.

Friday will be hot cross buns for breakfast and putting up our Easter decorations. Then we'll be going to the local farm Canon Hall in Barnsley to see all he new animals (and a chance to go tot the farm shop for the delicious sausages). Then out for a meal on the way home.

Saturday will be Easter craft day, I've already got most of the materials, we'll be having an Easter bonnet making competition.

Sunday morning will be Easter egg hunt, the Easter bunny usually leaves lots of clues around the house with the eggs. After having a chance to eat plenty of chocolate, it'll be round to grandparents to meet up with the rest of the family for a lovely roast dinner. I'll also be making time to watch 'Easter parade' with Fred Astaire and Judy Garland T some point.

Easter Monday we will be taking it easy!

shoebedo434 · 02/03/2016 20:52

We are going to have a Easter Egg hunt in the garden plus I will see if I can find a organised one too. We will see family and will go out for dinner too. We will eat current buns, chocolate eggs and make spiderman cakes

YesThisIsMe · 02/03/2016 20:56

Same as we always do - down to my parents for an Easter egg hunt in their garden (counting the eggs very carefully so none are left for the dog to eat) and roast Romney Marsh lamb for lunch.

Paulat2112 · 02/03/2016 21:00

We are going to Spring Harvest this year for Easter and we are so excited!! :D

Sallyingforth · 02/03/2016 21:02

I'll be going down to Aldi to get some more of their lovely Moser Roth chocolate, with none of that disgusting oily aftertaste of the new 'Cadbury' rubbish.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 02/03/2016 21:18

I know what I won't be doing and that's lazing on a Carribean beach on the holiday that we booked last April to celebrate my 40th.

As for what we will be doing, that all depends on what DH's surgeon says next week. Sad

Hopezibah · 02/03/2016 21:25

hoping we will be invited to granny and grandad's house for roast dinner and our annual Easter egg hunt. First one since their dog died so will be a bit emotional as the dog was a big feature of the easter egg hunt trying to keep her away from the chocolate!

Hoping for sunny weather so we can also spend some time outdoors.

walafel · 02/03/2016 21:33

Going to see family for the long weekend. On Easter Sunday, DH and I are doing a 10k run and DS (2.5) is doing his first fun run.

FlukeSkyeRunner · 02/03/2016 21:43

Nothing particularly easterish but we have a family birthday so we will have a big family meal at our house. Cadburys products may well be on the menu... :)

Theimpossiblegirl · 02/03/2016 21:47

There's a big hill locally that has 3 crosses erected at Easter. We will decorate hard boiled eggs, walk up, take some photos and roll them back down while the lamb slow cooks.

We'll also have all the cousins round for an egg hunt.

missDiddles · 02/03/2016 22:38

We've got inquisitive cousin H coming to visit, so I'm thinking about pretending the elm tree in our local park is the Magic Faraway Tree and coming up with some suitably ridiculous adventures there (with hot cold goodies, easter eggs and a picnic of course).

Sixgeese · 02/03/2016 23:31

We have early morning swimming lessons on Sundays, so I am most looking forward to getting a lie in before going to church at 11am.

cookiemonster66 · 02/03/2016 23:38

Easter sunday will be a tough one for me this year as it falls on my recently deceased daughters birthday, so not quite sure how we will handle it yet. Am sure we will visit the crem , lay flowers and sit in garden of remembrance thinking about her. There is a high chance of Vast amounts of cadbury chocolate being eaten afterwards though!

voyager50 · 02/03/2016 23:44

We don't celebrate Easter in any real sense as we aren't religious and I don’t get any time off work for Bank Holidays so we can’t go away - however, any excuse for chocolate is good so we do buy eggs!!
