Easter is nearly upon us and to celebrate, the team at Cadbury want to hear what you’re up to! Whether it’s cooking a roast at home, taking part in one of over 250 Cadbury egg hunts at National Trust places around the UK, hosting your own hunt, or going on a trip away, Cadbury would love to hear what it is.

So please share your Easter plans with Cadbury by posting on this thread. Everyone who posts will be entered into a prize draw where one Mumsnetter will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

In addition to this, we’ll be awarding 10 Family Day passes to National Trust places across the UK!

It's my daughter's 6th birthday and my husband's birthday on Easter Sunday so it will be a fun filled weekend with parties and visiting relatives. We are giving out Easter eggs at the party instead of party bags. We will be doing Easter party games too

CathyGlynn · 03/03/2016 18:51

An Easter egg hunt before breakfast, a lovely countryside walk and then We will be have a tea party as it is nearly hubbies big 50. In the evening we will most probably be sat watching a movie eating chocolate 😍.

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 03/03/2016 19:18

DH is taking DD2 to visit his parents for a few days (they live abroad), so it will be just me and DD1 at home. We will probably do some waster crafts and baking, meet up with friends and just enjoy a bit of time together. We will probably arrange a little chocolate egg hunt, either with friends or at my parents.
I'm going to see if any of the national trust places near us are doing an egg hunt, but I think the nearest doing it is over an hour away.

Dolallytats · 03/03/2016 19:24

I'll be writing clues for the DC's to do an Easter egg hunt around the house. DH will then take them to church and then we'll have a nice family dinner where our eldest will come over with our grandson.

Robertaquimby · 03/03/2016 21:06

Having an Easter Egg hunt.

Painting and rolling eggs.

Easter crafts and baking.

CheeseEMouse · 03/03/2016 21:11

Staying at home and having a lovely roast dinner on the Sunday

HELENSCRESCENT · 03/03/2016 21:11

We will be making Easter bonnets, baking egg nest cakes, having an Easter egg hunt, lots of craft activities and a lovely lamb roast on Easter Sunday (and eating lots of chocolate obviously)

lemonymelanie · 03/03/2016 21:15

We'll be opening up our caravan after the 5 month winter shutdown. Can't wait! Oh and hopefully welcoming our new rescue dog into our home. Can't wait for that either :-)

MsMims · 03/03/2016 21:18

Will be at home spending time with family and scoffing chocolate

TrollTheRespawnJeremy · 03/03/2016 21:23

We have an Easter egg hunt every year.

I think the weather is to be rather cold though so afterwards it might be an indoor day with family rather than a day out to the beach for a bbq!

1disneyfanatic · 03/03/2016 21:36

Easter Sunday will involve around 70 of us ranging from 8 weeks to 83 years old going on an egg hunt through the woods where some of the men with have hidden 100s of little chocolate eggs for everyone. Then we have a huge picnic. We just love being part of a massive but crazy family.

BellaVida · 03/03/2016 21:38

Well, we will be doing whatever we can on a budget! We do have a National Trust family membership, which is great value for us with 4 DC, so we will most likely go to one close to us and get involved in some Easter activities.

Apart from that, we will probably do an egg hunt in the garden and keep our fingers crossed for good weather, for bike rides and going to the park.

Almost forgot, we will finally make the edible glitter jelly that I promised the kids weeks ago!

Sariward · 03/03/2016 22:12

There is a 'design an Easter egg' competition we are entering at my daughters nursery. My sister organises an Easter egg hunt every year with cryptic clues so we are all looking forward to having that in our garden. I have bought some Easter eggs already (albeit already eaten some...) and we go to Easter mass on Sunday. Happy Easter!

DrSausagedog · 03/03/2016 22:21

I love Easter. We will probably put up the Easter tree and decorations this weekend to get plenty of use and it brightens up the room with its pastel coloured hanging eggs.

We will visit the local farm park to bottle feed the orphan lambs and see other baby animals.

One of the days will be spent at a local NT property taking part in an Easter egg hunt, DD will love it.

Baking will be on the agenda, I've already got some cute cupcake toppers with chicks and bunnies on and rice paper bunnies to go on biscuits.

Time will be spend seeing both sets of parents and other family members.

I'd love it if the weather was warm enough to get out in the garden and enjoy some sunshine but that's pro a pipe dream...

In the second week of the Easter holidays we are going to a holiday park by the seaside staying in a caravan, cheap and cheerful but the DCs will love it.

emilybc · 04/03/2016 00:07

We're taking part in the easter egg hunt at Mottisfont, Hampshire. It's a gorgeous National Trust property so we go there regularly anyway, but the easter egg hunt is just an added bonus (I'm 27 and I still love it)!

Snog · 04/03/2016 06:01

We are going to York as this trip was a Christmas present from my dp!
Will be our first weekend away without our dd who is now 16!

Ottosaurus · 04/03/2016 09:50

It's all about making things as a family here...
Craft weekend: the best hat, gloopy delicious melted chocolate chicks nests, drawing an easter picture then the ultimate easter egg hunt with the biggest egg on the trampoline to bounce off the added calories...
Family, fun and chocolate... who could want more?

Realitea · 04/03/2016 10:04

I'll be cooking up a big lamb roast dinner and organising an easter egg hunt for the DC's. We go for a big walk in the woods after dinner (I'm usually trailing behind feeling exhausted while the DC's run around)
We usually go to visit MIL too which my DC's love because they have a huge garden which is perfect for an easter egg hunt on a grander scale!
We also make an easter tree! They're so pretty, we tie ribbons and make egg decorations to hang on it.

Titsalinabumsquash · 04/03/2016 11:02

We have lots going on!

My older 2 boys always attend the local colleges holiday programme and have everything from an team Easter egg assault course to a movie cinema night with food they've cooked that morning.
My younger DS isn't old enough for this programme so we create a little programme for him of events (picnic in the park, walk in the woods, treasure hunt etc) so he doesn't feel left out.

We have a big family dinner ( roast lamb and all the trimmings!) with a trifle for pudding (the kids decorate this with mini eggs and sugar flowers),

We don't go mad with eggs, we buy one small one each and a small gift (£10 budget) because grandparents and the local community nursing team that work with ds1 will all get them eggs too.

Quills · 04/03/2016 11:33

We'll be making a traditional simnel cake, going to an Easter Egg hunt at the local park and doing lots of Easter crafts at home.

doctorboo · 04/03/2016 12:43

My three boys (8 months, 2 and 4 years old) will be going to a local Easter Egg Hunt and also one at my parent in law's new house.
Everyone - apart from the baby - makes Easter hats, decorate baskets and the children help make chocolate nests (with mini eggs inside - if they don't eat them all!) to share with their friends and cousins while they're out enjoying themselves.

Twighlight · 04/03/2016 13:10

We have an Easter egg hunt for our children and their friends every year. I arrange it all and the children bring a basket to collect the eggs.

Now that they are older I am going to put clues out for them to solve and have a "designing an Easter egg" competition for them too! Love Easter :)

PSG1968 · 04/03/2016 15:48

hermancakedestroyer · 04/03/2016 16:08

We are going to a Cadbury's egg hunt in Salisbury Mompesson House House. We are looking forward to that and then returning home to have a tasty Easter Sunday roast.

Anam110 · 04/03/2016 16:12

Planned a little easter egg hunt for my two boys but the prize at the end is tickets to disneyland! Taking my little boys on their first holiday abroad and I can't wait!!! My 2 year old has always wanted to go on a plane and will LOVE the surprise! He is obsessed with all things Mickey and Disney and waiting to his reaction is killing me!!!
