We're off to Spain to visit family for the week! 😊

kaytee75 · 03/03/2016 00:10

I am going to be volunteering at a fundraising event at my local country park, to raise funds to buy new tanks for the rescued reptiles. I'm either going to be helping with the animal handling, making Easter wreaths or being dressed up as the Easter Bunny! I had to be Rudolph for 5 days at their Christmas event, whilst my husband was Father Christmas!
In the evening I will be having dinner with my parents, husband and kids!

amysmummy12345 · 03/03/2016 05:18

We are travelling to Minehead with a very excitable two year old to see my oldest friend get married on Easter Monday, then we've arranged our last family holiday as a threesome before the new member of our family arrives! Fear not, you will not be seeing a six months pregnant woman riding a donkey on Weston Super Mare seafront! I shall mainly be existing on cream teas and candy floss Grin

BeeMyBaby · 03/03/2016 06:01

We're going to visit my inlaws in North Africa where they don't celebrate Easter so I will be packing some eggs for my DDs so they still get to enjoy it! There's something about making chocolate into an egg shape that makes it even more delicious...

Iggi999 · 03/03/2016 06:53

A caravan in the rain somewhere. Eating my body weight in eggs, but not Cadburys ones sadly as the taste has gone downhill so much.

Leannesihm · 03/03/2016 07:15

We will be doing our Easter egg hunt in the garden. Been doing it for the last 10 years and they all still love rummaging around for Easter eggs. Even if we go on holiday the Easter egg hunt comes with us and we have one where we stay. Come rain or shine my dc's hunt for chocolate Smile

MakeTeaNotWar · 03/03/2016 09:22

We are having friends and their DC visit from Ireland so I am expecting a busy, noisy Easter with plenty of laughter and chocolate, big roasts dinners and some nice wine.

StayGold · 03/03/2016 10:14

Am planning to make a roast to rival Christmas Grin. I was having chemo over Xmas so didn't enjoy the day as much as I usual do.. so we're getting a turkey and having a do-over! Instead of xmas pudding though, will make a huge chocolate cake. ChocolateCake Hopefully will be a lovely day so a walk by the river win the afternoon would be good... although with all this talk of snow might be more like christmas than I thought lol!

as an member and a true lover of National Trust - we will get up early wrap up warm and go on a Easter egg hunt at Croome. Mummies job to make the picnic Cadbury hot chocolate and hot cross buns and daddies job to pretend to get very lost on the hunt

k8vincent · 03/03/2016 11:44

Church on Easter Sunday morning - usually an egg hunt involved. I like the NT egg hunts so we'll probably be heading out to Sheffield Park/Nymans for one there. Going away after Easter - so getting ready for that.

Hello,

This Easter my sons (14 and 16) are going to cook an Easter Sunday lunch. They have banned parents from the kitchen that day and they won't tell us a thing about what they are planning.

My husband and I have no idea what they are cooking up and it's not a good feeling!

DesertOrDessert · 03/03/2016 12:02

Well, I'm not going to be in the UK this year, so its all going to be home made.
Easter Sunday is a working day here, but the kids have a "spring break" aligned with the Easter weekend.... Daddy will be at work.

Current thoughts:
*make some papier machie eggs (balloon shaped) to decorate. These to be used for an Easter egg hunt at some point in the day.
*print off Easter bunny and chicks colouring sheets
*attempt to make some chocolate Easter eggs (hoping the molds arrive in time - they have been ordered, but post is, err, sporadic!) I will NOT be making them with Egyptian Cadburys stuff that passes for chocolate in these parts.
*attempt some hot cross buns (mixed peal may be difficult)

Will also probably get together with the other kids who won't be at school, but whose fathers will be at work and do something - maybe an Easter egg hunt?

I am planning a nice Easter's Bunny trial. Some really special easter eggs, sweats and games, also to buy and hide few very much desired toys around the garden.all wrapped and with clues to find around the house. We are doing it for a third year in a row and it's always a winner. If we won't get away anywhere, would be nice to visit a farm to see new baby animals as well!

starlight36 · 03/03/2016 13:46

We've got some Easter activity books to work with in the run up to Easter. We are going to a locally organised egg hunt on the Saturday and will have our own chocolate hunt on Easter Sunday. We'll have a nice family lunch - probably Roast Lamb on Easter Day.

MrsJorahMormont · 03/03/2016 13:52

We'll be having an Easter Egg hunt with friends. It will be a mixture of chocolate eggs and bunnies and little card ones DD will paint. We'll probably do some baking too. On the Easter weekend we'll have a big roast and enjoy our chocolate.

CheeseAtFourpence · 03/03/2016 13:59

We are doing an egg hunt and visiting our local steam train for an Easter event.

Hoping to go to the Duck Race again in Manchester too!

Mizuna · 03/03/2016 13:59

A two day trip to Port Lympne and an Easter Bunny hunt at Wilderness Wood.

Sixgeese · 03/03/2016 14:22

We have early morning swimming lessons on Sundays, so I am most looking forward to getting a lie in before going to church at 11am.

imacmum · 03/03/2016 15:23

We will be jetting off to Spain for a few days and hoping for a bit of warm sunshine, taking the Cadburys Easter Eggs with us of course in our hand luggage, though they will have to go in the fridge when we arrive, nobody likes a melted one!

beanie623 · 03/03/2016 15:35

This easter, we are creating a special easter egg hunt with maps and clues. With a variety of things to find, little chicks, chocolates, bags of creating and little games. Something that will give lots of laughter and even the adults have to participate in the games.Have a go at rolling the eggs down the hill once boiled and decorated. We will also make a roast dinner together so we all can have a sit down and lead onto playing our favourite family game 'what ever next' which is one of the silliest and fun games. And to end the evening we will watch a film together.

aristocat · 03/03/2016 16:33

Another here who loves Easter Smile
We will be busy making crafty things on Saturday, DD loves doing bunting and baking mostly. Sunday will be the Easter Egg hunt and then a roast lunch for all of us ( plus in-laws) then afterwards off to visit family in the evening.

DH has a few days off work so it will be lovely to be together.

Snoopadoop · 03/03/2016 17:09

We treat it a bit like Christmas in the sense that first thing DS gets eggs (that he has to find of course) and we have a big family lunch. We always go for a walk. But that's about it.

sharond101 · 03/03/2016 17:09

We have started making Easter cards and will make an Easter cake. This will be the first year of a proper egg hunt so very excited about that!

Lyn29 · 03/03/2016 17:22

This year we are having an easter egg hunt at nannys house, decorating eggs for charity at Greenwich market, eating hot cross buns, feeding lambs at the farm, making easter cards for the family, visit family, and eat loads of CHOCOLATE!!!!!

VickyRsuperstar · 03/03/2016 18:24

We usually celebrate Good Friday with hotcross buns and go to church on Easter Sunday where they usually do an Easter egg hunt after the service. We will have a nice Sunday roast for lunch and give out the Easter Eggs in the afternoon while we chill out watching a film :-)
