Easter is nearly upon us and to celebrate, the team at Cadbury want to hear what you’re up to! Whether it’s cooking a roast at home, taking part in one of over 250 Cadbury egg hunts at National Trust places around the UK, hosting your own hunt, or going on a trip away, Cadbury would love to hear what it is.

So please share your Easter plans with Cadbury by posting on this thread. Everyone who posts will be entered into a prize draw where one Mumsnetter will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

In addition to this, we’ll be awarding 10 Family Day passes to National Trust places across the UK!

Please note your comments may be included on Cadbury's pages on MN, their social media channels, and possibly elsewhere, so please only post if you're comfortable with this.

Thanks and good luck!

It's my parents' wedding anniversary over Easter weekend, so they'll be a big family roast on the Sunday. My husband cooks a mean roast which gives me time to make sure that everything is as it should be & the place is tidy. On the Monday we'll go out somewhere, hopefully outdoors, where we can enjoy the scenery and fresh air.

BL0SS0M · 10/03/2016 18:16

easter egg hunt and scavenger hunt around the garden! then our very competitive egg and spoon race!! :)

Chiddles09 · 10/03/2016 18:23

Good Friday is for eating hot cross buns - my mum always brings us some home on Maundy Thursday from the bakery she works at.

On Easter Sunday the children wake up to an Easter egg hunt at home and we have a family roast lunch. We visit my grandparents in the afternoon.

On Easter Monday, we visit other family, or have a family day out.

UpOnDown · 10/03/2016 19:24

We'll be dying eggs and having an egg hunt

Traceyedd · 10/03/2016 19:35

We will be going on an easter egg hunt, either at home or around a national trust place depending on how organised i am. We will also be going on a trip to the local farm, i love to see all the new baby lambs and chicks and with a bit of luck we may even see one arriving!

emmamed123 · 10/03/2016 20:13

It will probably just be spent at home with the children, having family time.

Amyksays · 10/03/2016 20:18

My dd is lactose intolerant, so will spend Easter avoiding chocolate.

ellenemery · 10/03/2016 20:21

I will cook a roast for the whole family as eldest son and his wife will be moving about 100 miles away in April/May. We are a small family, only 9 of us so it will be a big day.

We will be doing a Easter egg hunt and having family time together

OmaC · 10/03/2016 21:07

On Easter morning Cadbury's eggs and hand painted eggs will have been hidden in the garden and the children will collect them in baskets and will will hang them on branches of catkins and make them the centrpiece of the breakfast table. At church the children will make an Easter garden and they will all receive a Cadbury's egg. Lunch will be roast lamb mint sauce gravy Yorkshire puddings glazed roast parsnips carrots and broccoli and there will be a special desert of a cake inside which are secreted 50 mini eggs.

Maiyakat · 10/03/2016 21:23

DD is in an Easter concert, which involves singing a medley of One Direction songs... Hmm

AlwaysaLittleBitTired · 10/03/2016 22:07

We will be in Norfolk for a week's holiday, so plan to visit the National Trust properties in the area in the hope of finding the Easter goodies! 2 years ago we visited Felbrigg Hall which ran Easter events. A great day out with the children.

BuffaloCustardbath · 10/03/2016 22:25

We have family coming up to stay so we will go to Church on Easter Sundsy and then have the annual Easter egg hunt at Granny's house with a big special Easter roast afterwards and we have some fun family days out planned all together over the long bank holiday - we don't get chance to catch up often so we like to make the most of it when we do, and chocolate plays a big part of that, especially at Easter!

KarenCBC · 10/03/2016 22:33

We're going to the Caribbean for my brother's wedding Absolute holiday of a lifetime and I can't wait!

Haffdonga · 10/03/2016 22:54

We'll be at home supporting a ds revising for A levels and another doing uni exam revision. What fun.

I'm sure they'll make some time to eat a bit of chocolate too.

bobthebuddha · 10/03/2016 23:04

Not eating Cadbury's chocolate until you remove the palm oil.

DEB080681 · 11/03/2016 08:56

It is my sons 10th birthday on 31st March - so Easter always tends to fall on or around his birthday which makes it Eggstra special for him....
We are having my sons class mates round on Easter Sunday - ten boys aged 9-10, what am I thinking??
I am going to do a huge Easter Egg hunt with 100+ eggs - I have been buying the eggs for weeks!!
We are going to wind down after a busy day with a Roast Dinner made by my loving fiancee...

EleanorofProvence · 11/03/2016 09:52

I won't be eating any Cadbury's chocolate bars - had some of DP's Caramel the other day & it was vile Sad

I had a thread going about this & it was a unanimous thumbs down.

Aldi & Lidl do very nice chocolate...

theno1dj · 11/03/2016 09:53

We usually have a little egg hunt in the garden, then as long as its not raining or icy, we traditionally have the first bbq of the year.

SuzCG · 11/03/2016 10:14

Staying at home over the Bank Holiday weekend, doing lots of traditional stuff to do with chocolate - after that I'm taking the kids up to see Grandparents, who we haven't seen now since December, so we are super looking forward to that!

TheDrsDocMartens · 11/03/2016 11:39

Another cadburys free house here. Aldi Easter eggs for us I think!

ThreadyPants · 11/03/2016 11:43

I had a proper bar of cadburys the other day. It was a real treat for me, it was some concoction with hazelnut and dried red fruit bits scattered on top. It was awful! The chocolate was a waxy texture and the pieces were huge, I think 8 pieces in a big bar. I miss old cadburys.

Also a big fan of Aldi chocolate.

As for Easter, no idea what we'll do yet!

vivianallman99 · 11/03/2016 13:16

we will firstly be relaxing... but as we seldom get holidays together have decided to do a few local trust venues... local ones as not sure what the weather is like... the forecast hasn't been reliable lately.. also we are going to Cadbury world and the black country museum.. both local to me but we haven't been as a family before... so really looking forward to it.. also... a few Easter eggs and hot cross buns will be included... :)

Bookaholic73 · 11/03/2016 14:20

I am taking my 11 year old to Birmingham for the weekend. We live in Cornwall, so it's a bit of a trek, but it's to see some of his favourite Youtubers at the Insomnia Gaming festival at the NEC.

So we'll be eating our Easter Eggs in the car Grin

finova · 11/03/2016 18:48

I make a long list of all the things going on locally/NT places then we just decide what we fancy each day.
Think we'll go for a carvery at some point and Id love one of those trees to decorate.
