We have made it through the wintery months, but we’re not free from drizzly days just yet. It really is a struggle to feel good in the wind and rain, so nice ‘n easy would love you to share the things that you do to make yourself feel at your best.

Here’s what nice ‘n easy have to say: “The beginning of the year is often gloomy, Christmas is long gone and the days are short and dark. But with Spring just around the corner, and sun just a promise away, it’s time to get out and give yourself a lighter, sunkissed look. ‘As we have more sunny days our skin tone warms up and therefore your hair colour needs to adjust to complement it. Going one or two shades lighter softens the darker tones we have often used during the winter. It’s all about having a natural look, as if your hair has been kissed by the Spring sunshine’ says our colour expert colour expert Jonathan Long”

So, is a hot bath with some posh candles just what you need to perk yourself up in the dark winter months? Perhaps you like to learn a new skill or get involved in an evening class? Do you brighten yourself up by changing your hair colour, or by starting a new skin routine to give yourself a glow? Whatever it is that you do to boost your confidence, let nice ‘n easy know.

Please add your comment or tip below and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop gift voucher.

Spend that extra 5 minutes each morning telling yourself in the mirror that you are totally worth it and you look good, this always gives me confidence to face the day

Whyisitsodifficult · 05/03/2016 20:44

Boring but true, it's exercise! Regardless of the weather or how I feel I know that after I've got my arse out there and got a bit sweaty it'll make me feel better.

JoJoY · 05/03/2016 20:52

Confidence comes from within so love yourself!

cocochips · 05/03/2016 20:59

A little lipstick is always a good confidence builder

As a young mum I used to say to myself " The baby smiles when I'm near, so I must be doing something really right" I always thought I was the worst mother except when a saw the baby smiling...

I find that wearing very nice matching underwear makes me feel super confident .... Not sure if it's relating to my mum continually mentioning the need to have nice knickers on in case we got run over when I was young 😝

Tell yourself every morning that you are great

pfcpompeysarah · 05/03/2016 21:36

I always find a nice haircut/new style, some fresh clean new clothes, a classy perfume and good health make you feel more confident and ready to face the day ahead.

gamerwidow · 05/03/2016 21:46

I spend time with my friends and family nothing cheers me up more than spending time with people I love.

compy99 · 05/03/2016 21:49

I find concentrating on the good things rather than the negative helps improve confidence.

Funkyferret · 05/03/2016 21:52

Do what makes you feel comfortable: don't be a slave to fashions you don't like, don't dye your hair blonde just because your friends have if you don't feel it suits you, find a lifestyle you like not one you feel you should have, and lots more. It's good to put yourself in situations that challenge your confidence but that shouldn't be your whole life!

alsproject · 05/03/2016 22:03

Take a look at yourself in the mirror and say "every day in every way I'm getting better and better"

Crown · 05/03/2016 22:04

Every morning when you look in the mirror pay yourself a compliment and steadily your confidence will rise.

KarenCBC · 05/03/2016 22:07

I find that I have so little time to pamper myself a little goes a long way to making me feel special. Bubble bath, face pack, hair dye, sometimes just having bothered to shave my legs! 😂

beckyinman · 05/03/2016 22:09

Simple beauty treats from things around the kitchen - exfoliator made of sugar and milk, coconut oil on the hair and then a glass of wine!

Barb5 · 05/03/2016 22:11

I make sure my grey hairs are coloured (nothing worse than getting in the car, checking my make-up and spotting those naughty little greys peeking through!). I feel so much better when I know I've put some effort into my appearance. Helping other people also makes me feel more confident. I belong to a couple of craft groups and my confidence really started to come back, so I'd say that being involved in a group is something which helps take the focus off ourself (which can be a good thing).

LeeR1985 · 05/03/2016 22:26

Set a target for something and beat it. Exercise for example. Do 10 push ups, record your time then give yourself a week to beat it. Good confidence builder.

juju3 · 05/03/2016 22:26

grab some me time and remember there's always tomorrow

allsorts4444 · 05/03/2016 22:27

SLEEP, it can do amazing things

mollyno9 · 05/03/2016 22:35

I would say having your hair and make up done really helps with confidence. Being a parent I've not always the time or money to spend on trips to the salon so hair dyes such as Nice and Easy are fab for giving me the just stepped out of the salon look!

grannybiker · 05/03/2016 22:55

I have what I call my "Kick ass!" boots for when I need to be assertive

pgwynne · 05/03/2016 22:56

Getting my hair cut always gives me more confidence. I also dye my own hair at home as cannot afford the hairdressers. However it makes me feel younger and my hair always looks more vibrant. People always tell me my hair looks nice.

Some me time in the bath with a scented candle and face mask. Its the little things that make the difference. Finding the time to paint your nails and tidy your eyebrows. It doesn't have to cost a lot, but can make you feel like a million pounds.

lhlee62 · 05/03/2016 23:05

Paint your nails, put on your favourite LBD and put on your favourite killer heels!

beeelaine · 05/03/2016 23:06

for me its music - it completely changes my mood and before i leave the house i always make time to listen to some good tunes because when you are in a more uplifted mood its far easier to feel confident :-)
