We’ve been asked by Pampers to find out which songs get your babies grooving.

Pampers says, "Here at Pampers we know that babies love to get their groove on without a saggy nappy getting in the way. That’s why NEW Pampers Active Fit have Magical Pods, absorbent channels that help to distribute wetness evenly, so they don’t sag and stay up to 2 times drier than the next leading brand. We’d love to hear what song gets your baby moving – let us know by commenting on the thread below. Plus you can try new Pampers Active Fit for free here.

So, do you have a traditional lullaby that your baby loves? Maybe your toddler loves to boogie to the radio, or do you and your DCs even make up your own songs? Perhaps there’s a song that gets everybody moving in your family and you can never get out of your head!

Pampers would also love to hear about the stories behind the song, for example, what made them meaningful in your family, and why you think your baby loves a particular song?

Share the songs that get your babies grooving on this thread, whether they are nursery rhymes, top ten hits or theme tunes from their favourite shows!

Everyone who posts on this thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £300 Love2Shop voucher!

Thanks and good luck,

My twin boys used to dance like crazy when they heard The Spice Girls - Wannabe!

skyeskyeskye · 09/03/2016 12:07

When DD was a baby, she loved Row Row Row your Boat, and also 10 Fat Sausages. I used to sing a lot to her in the car.

My daughter loved 'Walking in the jungle' and she liked to make the animals...my son loved 'Clap your hands if you are happy' and couldn't stop giggling at it.

The wheels on the bus

He has a musical book with gorgeous pics of vintage teddies on the bus - his name is Ted 😀

sleepyMe12 · 09/03/2016 22:45

Firm favourite in my house is you are my sunshine. My four year daughter has been singing it since she was around 1 1/2, we have had many compliments on the bus and at nursery for her singing this song.
She likes it as it was 'daddies and grandads song' its been used in the family since 74 and do even had the nickname sunshine!
We currently sing it to my 6 month DS so the tradition is still going.

RRAK · 10/03/2016 00:57

My 2 year olds favourite song is 'Happy Birthday to you'
Over and over again. Every day.
He came out of Nursery singing it one day and has never stopped.
Bless him Hmm

NaraDeer · 10/03/2016 16:55

DD (2) loves the Macarena.
I don't know the words at all but several times, every single day, we will both be doing the dance whilst I sing "Da dada da, da dada da, da da da da. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEY MACARENA, AAY!" Blush

Jadangel2001 · 10/03/2016 17:21

furryleopard · 10/03/2016 19:13

My 17m old loves Fleur East Sax but her favourite is that advert with the Big Bad Wolf song on it! She leaps up to jiggle around to that one.

badgermum · 10/03/2016 19:17

My Son loves Buffalo Soldier by Bob Marley they played it at school once and now he wants it on all the time

TheyreMadITellYouMaaaad · 10/03/2016 19:27

"What is jart in a bottle?" 2yo ds asked.

"Jar, tin and bottle" - a line from Julia Donaldson's Supermarket Song. TBH I'm not even sure that it's called Supermarket Song, because ever since then we've called that song Jart in a Bottle! Had to sing it whenever we went shopping. Still occasionally find myself humming it as I push a child-free trolley around Waitrose.

msizzard · 10/03/2016 19:29

My small loves 'happy' by pharrell williams. The first song that really got him boogying!

ellenemery · 10/03/2016 20:29

My 7 year old grandson who is severely brain damaged loves, Wheels on the bus. He rocks at such speed to it. When he was tiny he was always in terrible colic pain during the night and he was walked miles and miles by his dad and granddad singing this song.

He likes all music from nursery rhymes to classical but another favourite at present is Queens Bohemian Rhapsody.

BuffaloCustardbath · 10/03/2016 22:30

At the moment James Bay - Best Fake Smile is the favourite dance choon of DD and I Wink - we have the radio on most of the time in the background when we are at home and we are hearing this song a lot at the moment. We can't help but stop what we're doing and boogie when it comes on, it's so damn catchy!! She's even started to put both hands in the air and shout "chooooooon" when it starts, just like her mama. We are so cool.

MrsJorahMormont · 10/03/2016 22:39

'Wheels on the Bastarding Bus'. 'Let it Go' of course -we get very dramatic renditions, lots of twirling and flapping of arms. Also 'Get Lucky' Confused

emmamed123 · 11/03/2016 15:56
