We’ve been asked by Pampers to find out which songs get your babies grooving.

Pampers says, "Here at Pampers we know that babies love to get their groove on without a saggy nappy getting in the way. That’s why NEW Pampers Active Fit have Magical Pods, absorbent channels that help to distribute wetness evenly, so they don’t sag and stay up to 2 times drier than the next leading brand. We’d love to hear what song gets your baby moving – let us know by commenting on the thread below. Plus you can try new Pampers Active Fit for free here.

So, do you have a traditional lullaby that your baby loves? Maybe your toddler loves to boogie to the radio, or do you and your DCs even make up your own songs? Perhaps there’s a song that gets everybody moving in your family and you can never get out of your head!

Pampers would also love to hear about the stories behind the song, for example, what made them meaningful in your family, and why you think your baby loves a particular song?

Share the songs that get your babies grooving on this thread, whether they are nursery rhymes, top ten hits or theme tunes from their favourite shows!

Everyone who posts on this thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £300 Love2Shop voucher!

Thanks and good luck,

Our son loved Somewhere Over The Rainbow as a baby. Probably my fault for singing it at him a bit too much!! Our daughter is loving Twinkle Twinkle & dances away like a loon every time she hears it. They both love to sing/dance to Let It Go from Frozen when they're in the bath too! 🎶

WowOoo · 24/02/2016 19:01

My son used to love a very cheesy son by Baccarra - Yes Sir, I can Boogie. Have a very lovely video of him dancing joyously to it.
I can't remember how we were listening to it for the first time, but he used to say 'boogie song' until we played it.

Thegentlemonkey · 24/02/2016 19:33

DD loves the barefoot books 'farmers life for me' song - I know all the words from singing it over and over, and she bobs around and spins about happily!

MrsLJ2014 · 24/02/2016 19:38

When he was younger it was The Wheels on the Bus but now it's definitely 5 Little Monkeys, complete with all the actions! He's 21 months old.

PixieChops · 24/02/2016 19:40

Baa baa black sheep is my little girls favourite as she's pretty obsessed with lambs/ sheep (thanks Timmy Time!) she does a weird little dance to it where she kind of waltzes and hops. She's 21 months old.

sharond101 · 24/02/2016 19:48

One of my Son's first words was "Burn" singing along to Ellie Goulding.

flamingtoaster · 24/02/2016 19:54

When tiny DS loved Incy Wincy Spider. The Bear Necessities was a later favourite. DD when still quite small loved all the songs from "The Little Mermaid". We all loved "Dance Myself to Sleep" from Sesame Street and used to sing it all the time - DD had a lovely lamb soft toy and I used to sing it to her at bedtime dancing the lamb along the rail of the cot. I think I enjoyed it more than she did.

MimiLaBonq1 · 24/02/2016 19:57

Gangnam Style, You're sexy and you know it by LMFAO (it amused us at the time) and We are young by Fun. They were DD2's favourites and still are 3 years later.

Dd1 was much more traditional. Twinkle Twinkle little star, row row row your boat.. and a little splash of Pink.

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 24/02/2016 20:01

Both DDs love Shake it off and Uptown Funk. They also love the tiny turtle/bubble song.
DD2 (2) loves singing roly poly and doing the actions.

GooodMythicalMorning · 24/02/2016 20:02

Funky Gibbon

NerrSnerr · 24/02/2016 20:38

My 18 month old loves the verse 'the driver on the bus says don't do that' as she loves wagging her finger.

TurtleEclipseofTheHeart · 24/02/2016 20:39

Eye of the Tiger by Survivor.

ClaudetteWyms · 24/02/2016 20:46

I used to sing "Summertime" (Ella Fitzgerald) to dd and she'd be almost hypnotised by it, she'd instantly go quiet and was mesmerised. Alas if I sing her to her now I get told to stop as she's embarrassed for me!

Theimpossiblegirl · 24/02/2016 21:10

Kylie's Can't Get You Outta My Head was No.1 for the first year of DD's life (or so it felt) and she loved it, jiggling around whenever if came on the radio.

Maiyakat · 24/02/2016 21:42

DD loves dancing to 'so this is love' (the waltz tune in Cinderella)

JustKeepKnitting · 24/02/2016 22:14

My Dd used to love me singing Nellie the elephant as I jiggled her about ehen she was a baby. Now at 2yo she enjoys and knows the words to most nursery rhymes which we sing together on a daily basis, baa baa and wheels on the bus being her favourites.

IlPorcupinoNilSodomyEst · 24/02/2016 22:22

DS used to love 'Morningtown Ride' and I remember him being a fat baby in a baby gro sitting on my knee watching it on Tikkabilla - I was singing along and swaying, looked down at him and he had conked out! It always worked on zonking him out no matter what time of day it was.

MooseAndSquirrel · 24/02/2016 22:24

My 15month old love "boom shake the room" she loves a bit of fresh prince, has done since we discovered it made her laugh from 7months. Now she dances and sings (in her own way)

My eldest loved sugarcult bouncing off the walls since she was 1....7 now and still loves it!

mumsnit · 24/02/2016 22:27

Nelly the Elephant! Both my kids just loved this song and we had to have it on a loop in the car.

Love all those old children's songs - so nostalgic!

BellaVida · 24/02/2016 22:29

They each had different ones, but I remember favorites as:
'Sleeping bunnies'- when the bunnies wake up and you sing 'Hope little bunnies. Hop, hop, hop!' as the jump up and start bouncing around.
'Little Einsteins' theme tune
'Rock-a-bye baby' then pretending to drop them through your legs when the bough breaks lol. Used to giggle their heads off!
'The wheels on the bus' with extra sound effects and alternative silly versions.

polkadotsrock · 24/02/2016 22:47

My little girls absolute jam is Wilson Philips, Hold On. Has been from the start and still is at 2.5. Clings to the phone and just loses herself in it!!

Ohfourfoxache · 25/02/2016 01:37

Louis Armstrong - Wonderful World. By the time we get to "clouds of white" he has always calmed down Grin

emsyl85 · 25/02/2016 05:04

My little one is never happier than when we play a brass band (big 8 brass band) cover of Marvin Gayes sexual healing. He's loved it since he was born and I'm convinced it's because he heard it lots when he was in the womb! He used to kick along even then. It'll always be such a special song for us now Smile

OneWordTwoSyllables · 25/02/2016 06:46

When I sing Songbird by Fleetwood Mac or Dream a little dream by Mamas and Papas my little girl will calm down straight away. I sang both when she was in the womb.

Now when I sing All that Jazz from Chicago she absolutely loves it! She's 6 months old and will sit up in her chair and start squealing with delight (helps me keep her occupied while I whizz round the kitchen!)

ButtfaceMiscreant · 25/02/2016 07:13

My DD, now 2, loves Baby Mine from Dumbo. It's what we sing or hum when trying to get her to sleep.

Rather wonderfully, a few weeks ago our DTSs were both crying and I hear this little voice pipe up, singing Baby Mine to them. My heart melted into a puddle! We didn't know she knew the song to sing herself, and it was a lovely way to find out Smile
