We’ve been asked by Pampers to find out which songs get your babies grooving.

Pampers says, "Here at Pampers we know that babies love to get their groove on without a saggy nappy getting in the way. That’s why NEW Pampers Active Fit have Magical Pods, absorbent channels that help to distribute wetness evenly, so they don’t sag and stay up to 2 times drier than the next leading brand. We’d love to hear what song gets your baby moving – let us know by commenting on the thread below. Plus you can try new Pampers Active Fit for free here.

So, do you have a traditional lullaby that your baby loves? Maybe your toddler loves to boogie to the radio, or do you and your DCs even make up your own songs? Perhaps there’s a song that gets everybody moving in your family and you can never get out of your head!

Pampers would also love to hear about the stories behind the song, for example, what made them meaningful in your family, and why you think your baby loves a particular song?

Share the songs that get your babies grooving on this thread, whether they are nursery rhymes, top ten hits or theme tunes from their favourite shows!

Everyone who posts on this thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £300 Love2Shop voucher!

Thanks and good luck,

CestLaVie93 · 29/02/2016 16:16

My baby loves me singing twinkle twinkle little star. I think it's because it calms him down & settles him for sleep!

mumtowoo1 · 29/02/2016 16:51

As a baby my daughter loved the Wheels on the Bus

HelenPlant · 29/02/2016 17:02

Skidamarink a dink a dink,
Skidamarink a doo,
I love you.
Skidamarink a dink a dink,
Skidamarink a doo,
I love you.

I love you in the morning
And in the afternoon,
I love you in the evening
And underneath the moon;
Oh, Skidamarink a dink a dink,
Skidamarink a doo,
I love you!

Hush Little Baby

nettymay · 29/02/2016 17:59

'The Wheels on the Bus go round and round' We made up our own words later and our 2 baby sons were in hysterics!

CordeliaScott · 29/02/2016 18:02

If you're happy and you know it clap your hands. It's the only thing that keeps her still when trying to change her

Elizasmum02 · 29/02/2016 18:59

my daughter loved moi lolita by alizee ! she used to go crazy every time we played it

cherrylola · 29/02/2016 19:13

Daisy Bell, both my babies have loved this song. My newborn falls asleep to it being hummed Smile

Daisy Daisy,
Give me your answer do!
I'm half crazy,
All for the love of you!
It won't be a stylish marriage,
I can't afford a carriage,
But you'll look sweet on the seat
Of a bicycle built for two !

sweir1 · 29/02/2016 19:27

Shut up and dance with me!

JoJoBaldwin · 29/02/2016 19:49

Old MacDonald Had a Farm. I had to sing it all the way round the supermarket, complete with animal impressions!

gp12 · 29/02/2016 20:51

Grandad always hummed greensleeves - worked everytime

Fumnudge · 29/02/2016 21:01

As a baby it was 'Happy' (Pharrell Williams), always made her clap along! I'm glad she grew out of it as we played it over and over but it's a shame I never filmed it.
Now it's I'm a little teapot, just for the mime aspect Blush

vixxx666 · 29/02/2016 21:01

When my LO was a baby his favourite song was Pantera - Walk...kids got taste ;)

Misscocopops · 29/02/2016 21:23

The 'sleeping bunnies' song. My 18 mo dd lies with her bum right in the air it's so cute during the sleeping part of the song. Then her attempt at hopping once you wake them up is so cute. It was the first song she learnt the actions too and she loves doing it. Her older cousins at 3 years old love the song too!

See the little bunnies sleeping till it's nearly noon
Shall we try to wake them with a merry tune
Oh so still
On the hill
Wake up soon

(Enjoy a few moments of silence - bliss!)

WAKE UP LITTLE BUNNIES

Wake little bunnies hip hop hop x3
Hop then stop!

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 29/02/2016 21:28

I once drove from Northampton to north of Leeds with waterfall by the stone roses on full volume. The only tune my then 14 week old could fall asleep to.

movinonup · 29/02/2016 21:45

My 4yo son loves Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder and has some groovy moves to go with it.

My DD always asks me to sing ''the doodoodoodoo song'', It's not about poo...It's 'Ode to my Family' by the cranberries :)

Whyisitsodifficult · 29/02/2016 21:53

Not a song as such but a tune that La La the yellow teletubby used to play when you squeezed her hand. He is nine now and La La has long gone but I can still hear that relentless tune, as my DS squeezed that hand again and again and again....... Then the battery would die so it would be a mad scrabble to change it before he got too upset. Oh happy days Hmm.

ouryve · 29/02/2016 21:56

DS1 was absolutely enchanted by Katie Melua's voice, when he was a tiny baby. She rescued us from many a fraught, potentially napless, afternoon.

mumof1every1wantsme2havemore · 29/02/2016 23:33

My dd adores Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars. That definitely gets her dancing and requesting that i turn it up on the 'radiwo'. When the song originally came out i would go into the kitchen turn the radio up louder, and pick her up to dance around to it together. Dancing to good tunes in one of our favourite activities together, it guarantees a smile!
She also requests Moonlight Serenade by Glenn Miller for nap and bed time although she says 'moo song'. My husband played it once just before nap time and its been requested ever since!

angielou123 · 01/03/2016 11:00

The tune to Peppa Pig. He will run from upstairs if he hears it on tv.

JoCar72 · 01/03/2016 12:07

My little fella loves 'Round and round the garden like a Teddy Bear.' He's so ticklish but he brings it on himself...he starts singinging it, then runs away from me as fast as he can ;)
