We’ve been asked by Pampers to find out which songs get your babies grooving.

Pampers says, "Here at Pampers we know that babies love to get their groove on without a saggy nappy getting in the way. That’s why NEW Pampers Active Fit have Magical Pods, absorbent channels that help to distribute wetness evenly, so they don’t sag and stay up to 2 times drier than the next leading brand. We’d love to hear what song gets your baby moving – let us know by commenting on the thread below. Plus you can try new Pampers Active Fit for free here.

So, do you have a traditional lullaby that your baby loves? Maybe your toddler loves to boogie to the radio, or do you and your DCs even make up your own songs? Perhaps there’s a song that gets everybody moving in your family and you can never get out of your head!

Pampers would also love to hear about the stories behind the song, for example, what made them meaningful in your family, and why you think your baby loves a particular song?

Share the songs that get your babies grooving on this thread, whether they are nursery rhymes, top ten hits or theme tunes from their favourite shows!

Everyone who posts on this thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £300 Love2Shop voucher!

Thanks and good luck,

You are my Sunshine....
but it made me and DP cry every time we sung it.

I also love the German Brahms Lullaby - remnant of my German speaking days....

My kids still love it if I sing Halfway up the stairs or Stay Awake (the one in Mary Poppins). I used to sing them a lot at bedtime - my Dad used to sing Halfway up the Stairs to me - and they still ask for it if they are feeling a bit under the weather!

Currently my 20month old son likes if your happy and you know it, the wheels on the bus, 5 green speckled frogs and the bath song on youtube

daisybeebee · 01/03/2016 20:21

I feel I may have made a rod for my own back by never playing radio or my music in our car - just nursery rhyme CDs! It worked a treat in calming little one on long journeys, but as a result me & my husband know pretty much every word, to every nursery rhyme in a range of different rhythms & tunes - can't think when that knowledge will come in handy, but.. !!
Favourite song is 'Roll up, Roll up - it's all the fun of the fair' & 'I went to the animal fair, the birds & beasts were there! The big baboon by the light of the moon.., etc.' - Now of course, the favourite is 'Let it go' which he belts out in the back of the car but gets enraged if anyone turns around to watch him!!

My first born's favourite song was the French and Saunders version of "I should be so lucky" by Kylie, as when I was tired I couldn't think of anything else to sing!

onedowneleventogo · 02/03/2016 14:37

My husband had an album of British war tunes my LO just adored, especially one about how 'you get no bread with one meatball'

Lulabellx1 · 02/03/2016 16:19

Daisy Daisy...

Her name is Daisy :)

cagsd · 02/03/2016 17:36

My now 16 year old son, as a tiny tot, used to love My Cherie Amour by Stevie Wonder and used to sing along loudly "LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA" with it ;)

clopper · 02/03/2016 17:39

The way to Amarillo was a hit here and like Peter Kay we had to march around to the song.

Dianic · 02/03/2016 17:48

When she was in the womb, my DD loved "Crocodile Rock" by Elton John, and she adored the radio when we were in the car. She loved Flamenco music too as we lived in Spain for the first 5 years of her life! Whenever we went to a cafe or bar for a coffee, she delighted customers by dancing around to whatever music they were playing - Spanish or English. To get her to sleep, I always sang the Mockingbird song... :)

TopsysMum · 02/03/2016 18:37

Row, row and Rocking, Rolling, Riding.

My middle one loved/s the Funky Gibbon!

Roseberrry · 02/03/2016 18:40

My oldest has always loved close to you by the carpenters, even now at nearly 6 he will ask me to sing him it as a 'lallaby'.
I think he is the only one who enjoys my singing Grin

DingleberryFinn · 02/03/2016 18:47

Wind the frickin' Bobbin Up...

LobsterQuadrille · 02/03/2016 19:01

When she was a baby, DD would always fall asleep if I played Brahms's Lullaby. Slightly older and she would dance around like a mad thing to (cringe ...) Britney Spears's oops! I did it again. These days she actually doesn't believe me!

iklboo · 02/03/2016 19:05

jandoc · 02/03/2016 20:25

anything by Rihanna

Frolicacid · 02/03/2016 20:25

My Ds is 6 months old and LOVES the video for Justin bieber's sorry. I think it's the contrast of the white background and people in colourful clothes. He get very excited when we put it on!

FlukeSkyeRunner · 02/03/2016 21:47

My mum made up a repetitive wordless tune when we were little and it kind of got passed down thro the generations... The 'do do diddly boo' song, as it became known. My kids loved it!

sam90alex · 02/03/2016 22:16

My little one loves the Coldplay song with the monkeys in (can't remember the name of it) it calms her down and settles her :)

PrincessAisha2015 · 02/03/2016 23:19
