We’ve been asked by Pampers to find out which songs get your babies grooving.

Pampers says, "Here at Pampers we know that babies love to get their groove on without a saggy nappy getting in the way. That’s why NEW Pampers Active Fit have Magical Pods, absorbent channels that help to distribute wetness evenly, so they don’t sag and stay up to 2 times drier than the next leading brand. We’d love to hear what song gets your baby moving – let us know by commenting on the thread below. Plus you can try new Pampers Active Fit for free here.

So, do you have a traditional lullaby that your baby loves? Maybe your toddler loves to boogie to the radio, or do you and your DCs even make up your own songs? Perhaps there’s a song that gets everybody moving in your family and you can never get out of your head!

Pampers would also love to hear about the stories behind the song, for example, what made them meaningful in your family, and why you think your baby loves a particular song?

Share the songs that get your babies grooving on this thread, whether they are nursery rhymes, top ten hits or theme tunes from their favourite shows!

Everyone who posts on this thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £300 Love2Shop voucher!

Thanks and good luck,

pfcpompeysarah · 28/02/2016 21:48

My son used to love Twinkle Twinkle Little Star as a baby, then when he got older he loved a Wiggles song.

hedera45 · 28/02/2016 22:00

Sounds a bit affected, but true nontheless - when my children were small I used to sing them a French lullaby which I used to sing to a baby when an au pair in France: 'Dodo, l'enfant do, l'enfant dormira bien vite...' Singing it to the grandchildren now...

Stereophonics - Cest La Vie

DD1 would stop crying and listen intently to Sarah McLachlan's version of The Rainbow Connection (originally sang by Kermit in The Muppet Movie) as a baby. She would zone out and relax as soon as the intro started. It was almost magic.

I nearly crashed my car when I heard my then 16 month old ds2 who was strapped into his baby seat loudly sing "we will we well 'ock you". Immediately went and bought the queen greatest hits tape (Ds2 is 17) to his great delight.

lhlee62 · 28/02/2016 22:43

Uptown Funk- she doesn't sing the lyrics properly which adds to the fun as she is only 3 yrs old

nashath · 28/02/2016 22:56

Ferryfairy · 29/02/2016 10:13

Mine loved to sing Wheels on the bus in the car, but I got REALLY bored with it, so we used to make up sillier and sillier verses - The crocodile on the bus went snap snap snap, the dinosaur went rrrrrrr rrrrrr rrrrr etc. The sillier it got the more they liked it!

milliemoocross · 29/02/2016 10:31

BananaDaiquiri · 29/02/2016 13:43

Old MacDonald. "Mummy what animal next?" and I need to come up with at least 20 different animals that live on a farm (snake? owl?) before she is happy that she has done all the verses.

sarahbrokenshire · 29/02/2016 13:59

Tina Turner- Rollin down the river as everytime he rolled we used to sing it to him :)

Lariflete · 29/02/2016 14:32

I would sing Oh My Darling to both of mine, which would calm both of them down.
However, at the end of pregnancy with DD, I would batch cook all morning and then watch Blockbusters in the afternoon. When DD was born on the rare occasions she heard the Blockbusters theme tune, her head would whip round and she would sit, mesmerised by it Blush
