If you've got a great recipe you knock up with a juicer, nutrition extractor or even an old-school blender then Lidl want to hear about it. Whether it's a vitamin-boosting smoothie, a cold-busting soup or even a nut butter, please share it on this thread

What creative recipes have you mastered with a blender or juicer? Maybe you have a genius recipe for filling your kids chock-full of vegetables or fruit, or you've worked out a way to use it to make something you'd normally have to pay loads more to buy in a shop? Do you use the chopper for making short work of rubs or marinades? Or maybe you use the crushed ice to whip up summer drinks and knockout cocktails. Whatever your surprising use of a blender or juicer is, Lidl then we'd love to know more.

Lidl want to hear about these recipes to celebrate their launch of their new Silvercrest Kitchen Tool Nutrition Mixier on 18th January for (£29.99 - hurry while stocks last Grin)

Everyone who posts a recipe on this thread will be entered into a prize draw where five MNers will each win a £50 Lidl voucher.

Thanks and best of luck,

Ive just made almond butter and it's a lovely, healthier alternative to peanut butter. Very simple to do.

When I buy my frozen berries & veggies for blending, I portion them out into bags.

So, a Bag of berries & a Bag of spinach or make mixed together & portioned into smaller bags or boxes for blending in the morning

Add a handful of nuts or seeds & plant milk

I feel healthier having had it

emmfurn · 23/01/2016 08:38

Very simple - pear juice and lime in a juicer is a great breakfast drink. I find that adding lime to any juice recipe gives it a really refreshing edge.

4 apples, half a cucumber, quarter slice of lime and lemon, small slice of ginger, 5 carrots and a slice of avocado... YUM

ScrambledEggAndToast · 24/01/2016 14:29

Cocoa bean smoothie:

Cocoa powder
1 tbsp water
Banana
Black beans
Rice milk
Honey
Ice cubes
Cocoa water mixture

Mix together until frothy and enjoy!

Fangs4themammaries · 24/01/2016 18:09

Just apple and yogurt, thinned with milk if needed. Yogurt and milk must be cold from the fridge. Simples, delicious!

Queenbean · 24/01/2016 19:36

The ultimate power and detox green smoothie:

A handful of spinach
1/2 Apple
1/2 pear
2 inch piece of cucumber
1/2 piece of ginger
A few mint leaves
8-10 almonds
Water to top up

Pulse in smoothie maker until smooth, drink and feel virtuous!

Best tip: buy frozen spinach / frozen berries etc, smoothies are so much nicer cold!

So many to choose from but my go to one this week is:

I raw peeled beetroot
Handful of grapes
One apple
5-6 strawberries

Sounds grim and comes out bright bright red but is yummy!

MrsJuice · 24/01/2016 21:31

Cup of frozen berries
1 chopped banana
1 teaspoon Vit C powder
Scoop of Glutamine powder
Capful of concentrated aloe juice
1 teaspoon Moringa powder
2 teaspoons Wheatgrass or Barleygrass powder
1-2 teaspoons diatomaceous earth

Fixed my leaky gut, and keeps histamine intolerance in check. Also keeps hair and nails strong.
Looks bloody disgusting, but tastes great!

prettybird · 24/01/2016 21:36

Spinach, cucumber, carrot, celery, avocado and apple. Yum! maybe a bit of ginger, if you want to pep it up a bit.

Banana if you're not keen on avocado but banana has such a strong taste, whereas avocado makes it nice and creamy.

To make a lovely summery smoothie blend strawberries, low fat milk, silken tofu and a little honey together. A great fruity protein drink.

Queenbean · 25/01/2016 12:30

1-2 teaspoons diatomaceous earth

What the jiggins is that?!

MintyBojingles · 25/01/2016 14:26

My favourite blender soup recipe is butternut squash, carrot, and ginger:
Roast a whole butternut squash with some olive oil
In a pot boil with:
6 large carrots
1 inch fresh ginger
Little salt & pepper to taste.
Once veggies are cooked, pop in blender & wiz away! Perfect for cold winter evenings!

Patfola · 26/01/2016 00:09

Frozen mango, tinned pineapples, lime juice, Greek yogurt, lime juice and finally some guava juice. What a taste sensation; one a night and I'm on cloud 9. In them odd occasion I add some spinach for the green factor and it's just as yummy!

AutumnElla · 26/01/2016 23:31

I love to make pineapple, crushed ice, coconut milk and strawberries.

princesssmitheee · 26/01/2016 23:40

Melon and pineapple juice with ice.

Cambam2010 · 27/01/2016 13:58

My go to mix is:
Almond soya milk
Honey
flax seed
blueberries
raspberries
strawberries

Yum

angiehoggett · 27/01/2016 16:49

I like to use almond milk then add in a banana and strawberries. A hint of elderfower and honey also really add an alternative flavour.

topgunmatt · 28/01/2016 18:18

Not nutritional, but a very nice juice "Peach cobbler":

2 peaches

1 apple

1 sweet potato

sprinkle of cinnamon, or Nutmeg

emmfurn · 29/01/2016 09:16

Instead of buying tomato based sauces, I just whizz 6 tomatoes, 1 pepper (any colour) and an onion in the blender and then heat as necessary. For a curry sauce, I add in a chilli pepper and fresh ginger then add a veg stock cube and curry powder when heating. Delicious and fat free :)

Sammyislost · 29/01/2016 11:13

I've only tried this Paleo smoothie a few times, but loved it:

cold herbal tea and ice 1/4
protein powder 1/4
frozen berries (any!) 1/4
and top the rest with flaxseed and almonds.

WHIZZ. enjoy! I did add chia seeds instead of flax seeds too.

Mummystar123 · 29/01/2016 11:32

Handful of spinach, frozen strawberries, blueberries and a banana- yummy!!!

mumsbe · 29/01/2016 16:25

Blueberry's, ginger, raspberrys, honey, milk, blackberrys ,strawberries and a very small sprinkle of cinnamon.
Blend together and you have a very healthy shake to boost your immune system at this stime of year

KateOxford · 29/01/2016 21:58

Tomato and red pepper soup
Red onion
Sweet red peppers
Chopped tomatoes
Vegetable stock
Cherry tomatoes, roasted in balsamic vinegar first
Brown onion, peppers and mix with tomatoes which have been roasted in the balsamic vinegar, add chopped tomatoes, veg stock and some water to the top level of the veg, bring to the boil then let simmer for 30mins. BLEND to finish.

nerysw · 31/01/2016 09:38

Anything with strawberries in!
