If you've got a great recipe you knock up with a juicer, nutrition extractor or even an old-school blender then Lidl want to hear about it. Whether it's a vitamin-boosting smoothie, a cold-busting soup or even a nut butter, please share it on this thread

What creative recipes have you mastered with a blender or juicer? Maybe you have a genius recipe for filling your kids chock-full of vegetables or fruit, or you've worked out a way to use it to make something you'd normally have to pay loads more to buy in a shop? Do you use the chopper for making short work of rubs or marinades? Or maybe you use the crushed ice to whip up summer drinks and knockout cocktails. Whatever your surprising use of a blender or juicer is, Lidl then we'd love to know more.

Lidl want to hear about these recipes to celebrate their launch of their new Silvercrest Kitchen Tool Nutrition Mixier on 18th January for (£29.99 - hurry while stocks last Grin)

Everyone who posts a recipe on this thread will be entered into a prize draw where five MNers will each win a £50 Lidl voucher.

Thanks and best of luck,

Tropical Teaser

1 Mango
1 Banana
3 Passion fruits
Orange juice
ice cubes (optional)

Stone and peel the mango, scoop the pulp from passion fruit and add to blender. Blitz, delicious.

I have a small kitchen and just don't have room for a blender but if I did I would make lots of vegetarian soup.

LuckyBluie · 19/01/2016 11:08

Not sure if it's very surprising, but this is my absolute fav!

Just combine:

1 cup quartered strawberries
1 sliced banana
1/4 cup raw almonds
1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
1 teaspoon maple syrup

Throw them in the blender! delicious! Smile

I fry off two red onions and a clove of garlic in a pan, then pop this mixture into a blender with 5 roasted red peppers from a jar (Lidl do a massive jar for £1.79!!). Blitz, and stir through coked pasta. It is really thick and creamy, and the kids love it. I make this sauce ahead on a Thur afternoon so that I can just chuck on some pasta and have it ready within ten mins of coming in from swimming lessons.

Vege Burgers in a Blender
Add 1 tin of kidney beans
2 Slices of bread
A Carrott
1 Bunch Of Spring Onions
1 Bunch of Coriander
5 Mushrooms
Blend all together - can add more bread if needed
These can then be cooked in the oven or even frozen for a quick meal.
My daughter loves this - also no salt and packed with protein and veg.

To quickly get caffeine in my sleep deprived self and to stop pouring cold coffee down the sink....

Coffee (made to your liking)
Extra splash of milk
Frozen berries (I like cherries but other red berries work)
Vanilla extract

Blend away and enjoy

My breakfast smoothie:

1/2 a banana, frozen
100g-ish of frozen berries
1 raw egg
1/5 tin coconut milk
Splash or two of cows milk or soy milk or water to stop it being too thick

I do blender muffins with oats, banana and greek yogurt. Incredibly simple and really tasty

Ingredients
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
2 ripe bananas
2 eggs
2 cups rolled oats (old fashioned or quick)
¼ cup brown sugar
1½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
½ cup chocolate chips, mini or regular
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400F and prepare a muffin pan by spraying cavities with cooking spray or lining them with paper liners**. Set aside.
Add all ingredients except for chocolate chips to a blender or food processor and process on high until oats are broken down and batter is smooth and creamy. Stir in chocolate chips by hand.
Pour batter into prepared muffin pan, filling each cavity until it is about ¾ full. Optional: sprinkle a few chocolate chips over the top of each muffin.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the tops of your muffins are set and a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Allow muffins to cool in pan for ~10 minutes before removing. Store in an air-tight container for up to a week.

Soup made in slow cooker first, then blended:

2x cans chopped tomatoes, sliced carrot, celery, handful of pearl barley.

Add spices eg cajun, chilli powder, to taste.

Cook on low for 8 hours in slow cooker, then use hand blender to smooth.

ChatShitGetBanged · 20/01/2016 17:53
