With Christmas on it’s way, Homebase have launched a quiz on Mumsnet and would like you to have a go and let us know what you think of the result!

Please take a few minutes to do the quiz and find out what kind of Christmas host you are and return to this thread to let us know your result. Are you a last-minute shopper or an all year-round planner? Find out with our festive bit of froth.

I'm a military planner too- not really but in some respects I guess so! Don't feel very organised after today's wrapping efforts!

Military operator - urm.... not really! I do kind of plan but I have a chronic health condition and the only way I cope is to plan as it makes life easier on myself but... I don't do half of what most people on MN seem to do!

Consummate delegator. Not sure it is right. I always visit my Dad for Christmas but will help with the washing up. Nice to have company to play board games but otherwise I would prefer to spend it with the cats, TV and maybe a walk

I'm a consummate delegator which is not really true. If it's my year to host I put a lot of effort in. My daughter helps me but that's because we enjoy doing it together xx

Last minute pull-it-together.... which I would say is right. Not too much planning in advance but I manage to get everything done. I did actually start making a food shopping list today!

You're the person who, when a guest asks "Can I bring anything?", responds with an itemised list a mile long. You have shared the load for the holidays to such a degree you barely have anything to do. If challenged, you'd say that being the architect of Christmas is a full time job. In fact, all you need to do is update a few spreadsheets and that's you sorted.

Don't actually tend to have guests at christmas - see it more as a downtime

I'm a Consummate delegator, I do like a list but don't generally like to impose on other people, so it's usually a list for myself
