To celebrate the re-launch of the Bassetts Vitamins range for all the family, they'd like you to share on this thread what you do with your DC (young or old) on a rainy day.

Do check out the video one of our bloggers made for them

Bassetts Vitamins say "we think family life is all about big puddles, big mud, big adventures, big tree-houses, big imaginations, big games, big days out, big messes, big noises and big fun - now we'd love to hear what fun times you and your family get up to when it's raining outside".

As the range includes vitamin products for all ages from 6 months, they'd love to hear from you, whatever age your DC are - whether they are teens or toddlers - what do you do or encourage your DC to do when it's all grey and rainy outside?

Add your comment to the thread and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for John Lewis.

Thanks and good luck.

Wonderful woodland walks in wellingtons and waterproofs.

CHERYLPEARSON · 28/11/2015 08:57

I was once told that kids are waterproof... light rain should not spoil fun!
if it is horrendous weather we usually watch a movie or get out some board games.
Usually ends up with the 5 year old having a major strop if she doesn't win.

southernsun · 28/11/2015 09:06

Go splashing in big puddles

jt75 · 28/11/2015 09:11

Go to a museum, play old-fashioned card games, watch a DVD.

flozza42 · 28/11/2015 09:18

My daughter is a teenager now so we watch movies at the moment lots of Christmas films

hiddenmichelle · 28/11/2015 09:20

Rainy days are usually for making fairy cakes and watching a fun family DVD. The kids love eating them whilst they are still warm (and I do too!)

janeyf1 · 28/11/2015 09:22

We complete colouring in books, jigsaws, make cookies, go for wet walks and sometimes the cinema

cozza777 · 28/11/2015 09:23

I am not really a fan of the rain so we tend to stay in and do some indoor activities. Usually the Lego gets dragged out and depending what I can scrape together in the kitchen we may do some baking.

jenniwren12 · 28/11/2015 09:35

we get hot chocolate and watch movies - usually frozen. :-)

tinkkim15 · 28/11/2015 09:38

If its cold and rainy its indoor activities. If they have excess energy its off to an indoor activity centre

diane56 · 28/11/2015 09:41

We usually do some baking, mine love making butterfly cakes, then after we put a film on

lindagill · 28/11/2015 09:51

bake the best cakes EVER

Blondiebloo · 28/11/2015 10:03

You can't beat snuggling up and watching a DVD ( Home Alone 2 is our current favourite). Especially with hot chocolate and marshmallows.

Bellroyd · 28/11/2015 10:04

WE just play indoor games if it's simply too wet to do it outdoors.

kungfupidge · 28/11/2015 10:08

me and my two boys love playing with old boxes we make hideouts post offices, prisons, shops you can make yur box into anything all lol its fun and doesnt cost anything the children love it x

edoody · 28/11/2015 10:14

The rain never stops play so once we've been out and got soaked jumping in puddles we love puzzles in our house, that and building dens out of blankets and the furniture!

andywedge · 28/11/2015 10:18

Nothing we like better than watching films together

hdh747 · 28/11/2015 10:21

We like to bake, craft, and curl up and watch cheesy films.

dogdog · 28/11/2015 10:24

Messy but very enjoyable painting.

ashde · 28/11/2015 10:32

it's great because it gives us a chance to play the board games which are so much fun.

xcxcsophiexcxc · 28/11/2015 10:59

we have a rainy day kit, mostly lots of arts and crafts :)

Laineyflo · 28/11/2015 11:02

Chuck on the wellies, and go exploring. My two don't let the rain stop them!

kadykat · 28/11/2015 11:04

Generally I attempt to stop them drawing on the walls.

lizd31 · 28/11/2015 11:08

My great niece Olivia loves to watch all the wildlife in my garden when it's raining. She's glued to the kitchen window watching all the squirrels chasing each other up & down the trees & all the different types of birds feeding & if she's very lucky she'll catch a glimpse of my family of badgers if they come out early enough

We do a lot of baking and then usually chill with a family film. Love rainy days off.
