A christmas tree, decorations and two cats and a toddler make it feel very christmassy.

itsali · 28/11/2015 20:43

The lights, festive scented candles, thick socks and onesies, too many snacks and being cuddles up watching classic films with a glass of Baileys.

avvie1990 · 28/11/2015 20:45

My cats!

Family and pets make a home, all the fixtures and fittings are nice, but family and pets make the home.

freefan · 28/11/2015 21:11

The Photo's on the wall, the toys strewn across the floor, the pile of washing escaping from the basket and the sound of children playing all make my house a home :)

Beckster1980 · 28/11/2015 21:17

My house is my home- it's perfect waist height and above. Anything lower than that, it's 'customised' by my two little vandals with crayon, glitter and all manner of sticky finger prints!

My family and my Christmas Tree!!

the smells, and the noise

Maclairey · 28/11/2015 21:37

We are just starting to create our little Christmas traditions, our sons are 2.9 and 8 months so I am looking forward to the future. This year I am starting the Christmas Eve box tradition that I know so many do in the hope that it will be carried on throughout the years. We are also going to pick a real tree, something again that I hope will be something to look forward to each year.

So to answer the question, it is my family that makes my house a home. A house is just bricks and mortar, for me personally it's the love within that makes it a home. And photos.....lots and lots of photos.

Having all the xmas decorations up and a big sack of presents - plus keeping the TV off - xmas is the time for families

pfcpompeysarah · 28/11/2015 21:43

Cosy lights and furniture, warmth, familiarity and just the feeling that I am safe I guess, my DS tells me that even if we win the lottery he would still want to live in our house as its so cosy, a sign I am doing something right.

TwoSmellyDogs · 28/11/2015 21:43

Well my Two Smelly Dogs - of course! And my family - but they don't smell so bad! Grin

family pictures make a home for me

The kitchen is the heart of our home where we can sit together, bake, do messy play, & have a laugh

nashath · 28/11/2015 23:12

Home is where ever my children are. The photos on our walls, drawings on the fridge all make it our home.

SundayGirl86 · 28/11/2015 23:32

I buy a new bauble for the Christmas tree each year. We also have a tradition of wrapping presents on Christmas Eve with Christmas music on and a glass of wine each. One of my favourite times Smile

baking and family x x x

emella · 29/11/2015 04:29

Candles, homemade food made by my DD (she's very good at it too!), personal touches and memories, own décor that we've put together. Mainly the little things :)

FAMILY

Dolallytats · 29/11/2015 07:41

Evening time when it's dark out. The lights on the tree are on and we are all in together watching a film or playing a board game. Lovely.

Hevster78 · 29/11/2015 08:11

When the Christmas tree goes up, the lights go on, the fire is lit, and there is the smell of a Christmas loaf baking -:)

lucieloos · 29/11/2015 08:16

Our two little kittens playing with the baubles on the Christmas tree!

mumfie25 · 29/11/2015 09:38

My family, lots of photos and the decorations the kids have made over the years taking pride of place on the tree
