My family, just baked bread smell and our photo frames.

sue55 · 07/12/2015 01:06

Our christmas tree makes our house feel like a home at christmas, we buy a new decoration each year, so lots of memories

MsMims · 07/12/2015 01:13

Having the family, humans and furries, all cozied up with the fire on keeping us toasty (we live in an old, cold house!).

webkin · 07/12/2015 01:37

The family being here, the decorations up, the food and the music and laughter.

robyn297 · 07/12/2015 02:04

Our own decorations and quirky artifacts that we've collected over the years .

my cat he is always there to greet me and snuggle up to me,

Evidence of life makes a house a home. Photo's, pictures, plants, pets, books, school projects out on display, and un-intimidating furniture! By that I mean, no £3000 coffee table - not if you'd be afraid to set a coffee cup down on it! Happy homes tend to look a bit worn in Smile

my lovely family :)

angiehoggett · 07/12/2015 07:28

Making things cosy, having decor that you like and gives you that feeling when you walk in the door of safety and comfort!

dirtypop · 07/12/2015 07:58

the accessories and photos around the house

timmmers · 07/12/2015 08:39

The front door. Everyone and everything that comes through that door is welcomed and everything that isn't welcome stays outside. It's my castle. Oh, and the cat's castle too, actually, probably his castle and he lets me use it. :/

Laughter, giggles, smiles, tantrums and barking dogs make our house a home!

Firewall · 07/12/2015 09:58

Decorations and a nice candle! Also a house full of family and friends.

Woodruffshaz · 07/12/2015 10:04

Our two dogs..... Walking in to them greeting us all really makes us feel homely

eandoauntie · 07/12/2015 10:41

Having my niece and nephew her hearing them squealing with laughter and a place where my parents want to come and visit me - Thats what makes my house home.

Jocelynne123 · 07/12/2015 11:33

Obviously the christmas trees it might not look perfect but it's perfect to me because everyone had lots of fun doing it. But the excitement in the house makes it a home. Christmas crafts and the smell of christmas cookies baking xx

keshimonster · 07/12/2015 11:33

Lots of cosy blankets and cushions and candles :)

blingypoops · 07/12/2015 11:49

My family!

lexiemac13 · 07/12/2015 12:13

To me, lots of photos of our family and personalised items makes our house feel like a home. Also, lots of soft furnishings, candles & fairy lights give us that homely feeling too.

baconbap · 07/12/2015 12:31

the people in it and the objects that bring back memories

piggypoo · 07/12/2015 12:31

The chaos, the animals, our babies, the scents, washing, cooking, air freshener, baking, the cat dragging the bacon off the kitchen worktop, and encouraging DH to "kill" it with him! :)

windowmouse · 07/12/2015 12:36

The family and my pets make my home!

kirstykovacs1 · 07/12/2015 12:36

Our homemade decorations make our house home! we get them out every year, we have 2 from that DH made 26 years ago, 1 that I made 16 years ago and lots from the boys nursery and school! The boys make a check list and everyone that visits us has go on a decoration hunt, if you find them all you get a mince pie! It's our families little tradition :)

Lulabellx1 · 07/12/2015 12:44

The people that are it! My family and my pets... everything else can be replaced :)

meggysar · 07/12/2015 13:03

My family and pets make my house my home along with all the memories created in it.
