Two kids, three cats and the mess and noise they make

My family :)

hdh747 · 28/11/2015 10:20

My family. No matter where we are, if we are together we are home.

Lizawithaz · 28/11/2015 10:31

I live in a teeny tiny flat with my DD. We don't have room for a proper Christmas tree or lots of decorations. So I try to keep things simple and festive with a few lights and some table decorations of reindeers and Father Christmas that I scatter around the room. It's not much but it makes our little home that extra special for Christmas.

Being full of the boys' collections of Stuff. Every possible thing turned into a "bus stop". The line of Kipper books on the floor.

our family and love it when the children's friends come round - they are always keen to come back.

The Christmas tree with sparkling lights and laden with presents, makes my house my home. The smell of pine permeating the air as we enjoy our Christmas dinner and pulling crackers together is the essence of a welcoming home at Christmas time.

The chaos of children, a new toy strewn across the room every foot. The loudness of the food being cooked whilst being drowned out by the sound of christmas songs. And the dog being dressed up as a reindeer.

Laineyflo · 28/11/2015 11:01

Being greeted by my Dog after a long hard day at work, he always brightens my day!

A house is just a house until you make it a home with all your treasured family photos, lots of lovely accessories & pictures & most of all a home that is filled with love & laughter.

bridge16 · 28/11/2015 11:18

Definitely family photos! Photos everywhere make a house feel warm and lived in.

janeoho · 28/11/2015 11:22

we like to put pictures of our daughter up and frame pictures shes painted. We also have fresh flowers once a week. It makes it homely

BizziLiz · 28/11/2015 11:28

The heart of our Christmas home is our Christmas tree, hung with all the old favourite decorations. Most important of all is the magic wishing ball hung on the lowest branch, where the children whisper to it what they would like Santa to bring them.

gamerwidow · 28/11/2015 12:21

Our Christmas tree which DD will have decorated by itself. It'll probably look wonky but she will be so proud of it.

alabaster002 · 28/11/2015 12:33

All the little things that mean so much - pictures of family no longer with us, souvenirs of holidays and days out, gifts from those dear to us and familiar furnishings carefully acquired and much cherished!

Marg2k8 · 28/11/2015 12:43

It is people that make a house a home. No matter what the surroundings.

Nettie17 · 28/11/2015 12:47
