Having my family and my grand childrens things around

kazza1967 · 28/11/2015 08:32

It isn't about material objects or things. I think it is the people and the atmosphere that they make in the house that makes it a home.

lucyrobinson · 28/11/2015 08:36

We have a tree and lots of musical decorations. What makes it is the fact that the kids decorate the tree and get out all the decorations they made when they were younger. x

Our books, and our aura. Whatever defines yourselves, I suppose.

Brightly decorated Christmas tree, fire with warm glow and sprigs of holly with red berries.

CHERYLPEARSON · 28/11/2015 08:58

Quite simply the people & pets that make the memories within the house make a house a home

MimiJoy · 28/11/2015 09:03

Smells of cinnamon and mulled wine; our lovely fibre-optic Christmas tree; lots of glittery tinsel; Christmas carols playing in the background and, of course, being surrounded by friends and family for a big Christmas meal on the day ...

Lots of the the kids home made decorations from school - but I hate clearing up the glitter which gets EVERYWHERE!

cozza777 · 28/11/2015 09:29

The kids Christmas crafts from previous years that are hanging together by a thread but are always put out pride of place on the mantle piece or hung on the front of the tree :) this makes me smile.

Roraima · 28/11/2015 09:35

My family,im having my grandchildren tonight and we're putting our tree up,that's what it's all about x

Nuttynelnew · 28/11/2015 09:58

Christmas is a big thing in our house as we have 7 children. We have a huge christmas tree and all the kids decorate it, I don't care if its all posh like in the stores as the kids are proud of their creation. We always have a bowl of nuts on the table for us all and tangerines that's when you know its Christmas lol. I also save all their homemade Christmas cards and decorations and we put them up each year. It makes me so proud . So my answer is my kids make my house a home at Christmas they are lovely and are so grateful for their gifts even though they know they won't get as much as some because there are so many of them. They have each other and that's what's Christmas is about - Love
