Shutting the world out for a few days. Having family cuddles on the sofa with home alone on th tv. Then when the little one falls asleep, gently taking him up to bed, and coming back down stairs to snuggle and have some mulled wine between us with Christmas carols playing.

Jezzamk · 06/12/2015 18:42

Trail of destruction from cats playing with decorations an climbing the Christmas tree.

artisanroast · 06/12/2015 19:02

It's all those little touches and finishes that we have spent so hard thinking about. from our "quirky" spare bedroom converted into a movie/gaming room to our daughters magical bedroom! I

RoosterCogburn · 06/12/2015 21:04

Real fire, flowers, pets snoring in their baskets.
Familiar belongings, some with a story behind them. The people I love.

sadiewoohoo · 06/12/2015 21:08

The little things that tell who lives here like the 4 toothbrushes in different sizes on the sill, photos of past holidays on the walls that get us through the long winter and the dogs toys buried amongst the sofa cushions!

laurapotz · 06/12/2015 21:26

My sofa, my stuff, my mess and my family!

pennystextiles · 06/12/2015 21:37

Freshly baked Christmas treats, fire lit, decs up and my family!

grannybiker · 06/12/2015 21:37

I could write something soppy about the people in it or our pets, but the bottom line is how it feels - are we comfortable? Do we feel safe? These are things that matter more than co-ordinating table linen

Natasha7 · 06/12/2015 21:45

My family! We are decorating our house at Christmas together, admiring the Christmas tree decorations our children made, bringing wonderful memories.

mummsie72 · 06/12/2015 21:53

The people in it and the shared activities, memories made, problems shared and solved.

Yankee Candles, photos of me, hubby and DC, the cosiness (sp?) of it. The noise of my little man playing, and all his toys scattered everywhere, and the little space our little man has made for himself in the middle of our bed!

cluckyhen · 06/12/2015 22:41

We make our house our home everyday but at xmas the smell of fresh baking and cooking and sounds of laughter coming from the kitchen point you to the hub. We also have a lovely street get together on the
23rd for our neighbours too.

brookson · 06/12/2015 23:23
