To celebrate the re-launch of the Bassetts Vitamins range for all the family, they'd like to hear all about the things you like to do to have fun as a family.

Do check out our the video one of our bloggers made for them

Bassetts Vitamins say "we think family life is all about big puddles, big mud, big adventures, big tree-houses, big imaginations, big games, big days out, big messes, big noises and big fun - now we'd love to hear what fun times you and your family get up to which help you bond".

As the range includes vitamin products for all ages from 6 months, they'd love to hear from you, whatever age your DC are - whether they are teens or toddlers - what do you do to have fun as a family?

Add your comment to the thread and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for John Lewis.

Thanks and good luck.

We like to get out and about with the dog. We will take him for long walks down the beach, along the river, up the Downs or through the forest. The whole family love doing it... any excuse to get muddy!

princesssmitheee · 22/10/2015 16:58

bowling is always fun

moominnewbie · 22/10/2015 18:50

the absolute best times we have for fun as a family is when we do an 'adventure' walk (usually spur of the moment location, but with food planned in advance - nibbles / picnic are necessity and must include 'special' food like chocolate and fruit shoots!). We pick somewhere that has a variety of landscapes (knole park is great for this - its got big animals (deer), woodland (climbing trees), open parkland for free-reign roaming, and also what my youngest calls a 'castle' (tudor house)). It provides freedom for the kids to roam about, explore a little way ahead of us parents so we can see them but they have a bit of independence and us parents can walk hand in hand (yes its soppy but needed!) putting the world to rights!

Trips to castles, beginning with packed lunch on the train, fish and chips afterwards. Wonderful. Even if there is mud and rain, or especially them.

Go out together to explore the great outdoors with a relaxing picnic! Or in the winter go out for brunch in a nice cafe

strawberrisc · 23/10/2015 10:37

My daughter loves to switch off her digital devices and play board games! Her favourite is "The Game of Life".

Tkw2014 · 23/10/2015 19:30

We love making cake and crafts, and when we are out and about its usually along the seafront or at a playground.

We've spent eight years home schooling our children so we've had a lot of fun on the way.I (Mum ) am scrabble champion in our house !! the children love playing scrabble.Outdoors we go cycling the kids love planting seeds and have potted plants in the garden which they nurture. For rainy days I let them bake and they love decorating cakes and biscuits with far too many decorations.

chrisfc99 · 23/10/2015 22:05

We go to Lanhydrock near Bodmin where there are mountain bike trails, a mountain bike skills course and a balance bike course.

chocomochi · 23/10/2015 22:15

We have two DDs (3 & 5).

We love stay at home crafts, baking, playing Lego, pretend play with homemade dens.

We also love the outdoors (especially National Trust sites), cycling, going to indoor climbing walls, body boarding at the seaside and just walking in the park picking leaves Nd making daisy chains.

Rigbyroo · 24/10/2015 09:16

Love the ideas here. We love to walk/scoot on the beach. Throw some stones into the sea and then enjoy some fish and chips!
Anything creative is always a winner too.

bletheringboys · 24/10/2015 10:46

We spend our days roaming through woodland and muddy fields around where we live and going on 'adventures' with our wellies on! We are currently biding a den in the woods beside our house out of large fallen branches, and add to it on every dog walk. It's getting big! We've also made a rope swing which is great fun! It's harvest time just now, so we take the dog to play ball in the cut fields and scour for interesting bits of pottery, which we collect in a bag and take home to clean then make into mosaics. Apart from that we play in the garden on scooters, set up Lego towns in the garage and (sometimes) chill (ha ha!) by doing a wee bit of craft from mum's huge craft stash. Our boys have a constant supply of energy, so it's important to run it off!

DinosaursRoar · 24/10/2015 11:05

I have a family of bike-nuts - the 2 year old is pretty fast on her balance bike too now so I've had to join in! Woods and a bike, very popular with mine (rain doesn't stop play, unfortunately for me!)

Spencer1234 · 24/10/2015 11:49

We love to take the dog for a run on the beach

SecretLocation · 24/10/2015 13:01

It's easy to get bogged down with housework, shopping, washing ect at the weekend so we now make a point of setting aside time to spend together as a family.

We love going swimming at our local leisure centre, walks in the woods or nearest country park, visiting historic sites using our English Heritage membership, visiting our local museum and on rainy days like today, cosying up on the sofa with popcorn and a film marathon Grin

renas · 24/10/2015 14:27

We like to cycle taking a picnic

ha2el · 24/10/2015 16:10

We love beach combing and running races up and down the beach.

Nottheshrinkingcapgrandpa · 24/10/2015 21:08

Baking, eating, and planning the next bake :)

CMOTDibbler · 24/10/2015 21:13

We love cycling together - its worth doing the distance for the cake and hot chocolate stop!

annarack99 · 24/10/2015 21:31

sing songs and do actions!

DrSausagedog · 24/10/2015 21:54

Visiting different places, trying different activities. If it's dry we go to lots of different playgrounds for variety.

If it's wet we love arts and crafts, baking, play doh etc.
