To celebrate the re-launch of the Bassetts Vitamins range for all the family, they'd like to hear all about the things you like to do to have fun as a family.

Do check out our the video one of our bloggers made for them

Bassetts Vitamins say "we think family life is all about big puddles, big mud, big adventures, big tree-houses, big imaginations, big games, big days out, big messes, big noises and big fun - now we'd love to hear what fun times you and your family get up to which help you bond".

As the range includes vitamin products for all ages from 6 months, they'd love to hear from you, whatever age your DC are - whether they are teens or toddlers - what do you do to have fun as a family?

Add your comment to the thread and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for John Lewis.

Thanks and good luck.

We like to go for long muddy walks where we live. In the woods the children can play and run and i have space to clear my head and be free. Everyone gets mucky even the dog! then home get warm in front of the fire with a hot chocolate and marshmallows!

Family games are the best - we love board games, card games, silly games and more where all the family can join in.

grannybiker · 02/11/2015 11:49

Our favourite thing is building a den in the woods

bex552 · 02/11/2015 11:54

We make activity planners, so we can tick off all the fun things we do!

castleton · 02/11/2015 12:02

Pimmpom · 02/11/2015 12:24

Luckily we still enjoy our hobbies of cycling and walking with our teens - feel blessed that it is something the whole family enjoy.

keshimonster · 02/11/2015 13:02

One of our favourite things to do is go for a nice walk and take a picnic. We usually walk to where there is a park along the river

GeorgeW78 · 02/11/2015 13:03

Geocaching is great fun cos it's a bit of an adventure. Combining walking the dog and a nature trail in the woods is a good idea too.

Tean1 · 02/11/2015 13:41

Play pooh sticks

Seehorse · 02/11/2015 13:42

We like to go out cycling & walking, or playing board games

linheiner · 02/11/2015 13:59

Days on the beach (summer and winter!), Walks in the wood, get togethers with friends in the park

slbhill42 · 02/11/2015 13:59

we like playing cricket or rugby in the garden. Or an approximation, anyway, our little one is only 3!

I have 9 children ranging from 15 to 1.5 so I try to do a range of things that they can all be involved in. They like going to the local parks for walks and playing or doing craftworks together, but if I can find anything unusual to do to stretch them a bit, then we go for it. Over the half term I took the older ones to Comic Con as they love gaming, pop culture and anime. My 10 year old decided to do a cosplay so we got an outfit together for him and he had fun getting his picture taken with other cosplayers. We had a really fun day out seeing lots of stuff, they got to ride in a Maclaren racing car simulator, enter competitions and do stuff they wouldn't normally get a chance to. They took all their 3DSs with them so got excited by all the street pass hits!

I often take my 14 year old to Nintendo and Gaming days/evenings as he has a lot of fun doing them and meeting other people which is good for him as he has Asperger's. I've also found that being a "gaming mummy" has scored me a lot of cred with the kids as they can't believe some of the stuff I've done. I've been filmed by a popular gaming website and yesterday I played online on a live stream with one of the most popular gamers while my 10 year old was watching. My 15 year old didn't believe me until I showed him the evidence in my game log! Anyway it's a lot of fun as it's a shared interest playing games with them and we make it sociable! For the little ones I really like leaving personal messages for each of them on their 3DS with street pass and they like checking to see what I've said and then replying back. It's a fun way of breaking into their worlds and making gaming which could otherwise be quite anti-social into very social family activities with fun things to do outside the home as well.

After dinner we like to turn our kitchen into a bit of a disco, taking to the dance floor and just being very silly.

KittyFan83 · 02/11/2015 16:05

My nieces have great imagination so most of our fun revolves around that! When I was redecorating their bedrooms for them (they live with my mum, their nan, because their parents couldn't look after them properly, so she needs me to help with a lot of stuff), I pretended a troll had broken in and made the changes I'd done. We then went on a troll hunt all over the house and gardens spotting signs of the troll being there.

Last week, we took them to the National History Museum and then on to Paddington Station to visit Paddington Bear. They love movie (the baddie works at the NHM in it). While in the museum, an announcement came on the tannoy saying, "Emergency, everybody stay where you are". The girls were convinced this was because the baddie had escaped and was going to go and get Paddington and stuff him, so we all had to dash to Paddington Station quickly to warn him. They exhausted themselves so much in the make-believe that they promptly fell asleep once they'd delivered their message!

They also love being active, and when the 4 yr old got her first bike for her 4th birthday recently, I took her on a cycle path to ride it for the first time. She managed 6 miles and would have done more only we had to be back for dinner.

lexiemac13 · 02/11/2015 16:29

We try to visit new places as often as we can to make things more fun and not too repetitive! We try to go on holidays or short breaks at least a couple of times a year to explore new surroundings too. We get outdoors as much as possible but enjoy time indoors too watching movies, playing games and making things! Pinterest and lots of other websites are great for inspiration for things to make & do.

handbar · 02/11/2015 16:34

I take my grandchildren to cheer on their brother when he plays football. We enjoy doing that together and having a meal in the clubhouse.

piggypoo · 02/11/2015 17:13

We have "mad half-hour". We get all our pots and pans and spoons and anything else that takes our fancy, as dress each other up as one-man bands, and my husband accompanies us along on his guitar or piano!

broughton100 · 02/11/2015 17:24
