Thirty-five years since his first appearance, the Milk Tray Man is back and is being re-imagined for the 21st century. Cadbury are keen to hear from Mumsnetters about who they think best represents the modern Milk Tray Man (or woman!).

Cadbury say “The Milk Tray man is back and he’ll be daring but caring, thoughtful yet thrill-seeking - and he’ll go to any lengths to deliver a box of Milk Tray to a loved one.”

What traits do you think the modern Milk Tray Man or woman should have, and who do you think best embodies these qualities? Your favourite actor, dressed to thrill in a smart black polo neck and grappling hooks Grin. Your best friend, who’s helped you through some tough times? Maybe your partner has all the key qualities?

Whomever you think represents the modern Milk Tray Man, Cadbury would love to hear about it.

Everyone who adds a comment will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £200 Experience Day Gift Card for you and your loved one(s).*

Find out more about the search for the new Milk Tray man here :

You can make your own nomination over here and don't forget to tell us on this thread too.

Thanks
MNHQ

Depends if it is a parody or not...if so, Someone who looks like they have had a few too many chops themselves...Peter Kay or something. If not a parody, well, someone like a sexy sportsman.

shivbrown · 25/10/2015 21:37

Prince Harry! x

lorelei9 · 25/10/2015 21:54

needs to be a woman

Emily Blunt scaling the heights of an office building to deliver it in time for the 4pm slump perhaps

she is the best action hero we have at the mo!

CaptainKit · 25/10/2015 22:18

Hmm... Captain Hook from Once Upon A Time could knock on my door, bearing chocolates, at any (reasonable) time. He'd have to be content to watch the Grand Prix with my fat (pregnant) self, and then bugger off before bedtime. No shenanigans on a work night!

Would be equally happy if Tom Hiddleston or Felicia Day turned up with chocolate. (Although if we're talking Cadburys, I'll have a bar of dairy milk with Daim, please!)

If anyone dared sneak through my window in the dead of night I'll be throwing things and calling the police. There's nothing romantic about breaking and entering.

if cadburys have enlisted mumsnet for help then they are trying to target families. I'm too young (24) to know any of the previous ads of milk tray man but I do agree it seems a little dated.
If I was in charge, and going with the target audience, I would have lots of little clips, of families tucking into milk tray together.
So like a little baby smothered in chocolate like only babies do and the family laughing.
A family all in pjs, duvets on the sofa with the milk tray in the middle.
In a car trip and the kids are arguing in the back and the milk tray comes out.
A dad giving a tray to a teenage lad who then proceeds to give it to a teenage girl and they smile and hold hands.
A nurse coming in from a night shift and the bloke has a cup of tea and a milk tray waiting on the table.

Is the little things that people do to show they care, and milk trays are one of these things.
Attached is my little one after we left the chocolates unattended in the lounge (sorry it was thorntons though haha!)

Here's another vote for Ben Aldridge. He could break into my house any time he likes!

gamerwidow · 25/10/2015 22:51

My milk tray man would be able to juggle running the house, hoding down a job and raising a family ... basically someone like me.

KellyHb · 25/10/2015 22:57

Mine would definately be Ben Aldridge. Gorgeous brown eyes, lovely hair, cute smile and would look perfect in a tuxedo.

torthecatlady · 25/10/2015 23:14

iwantavuvezela · 26/10/2015 11:06

Cambam2010 · 26/10/2015 11:31

Kindness and consideration are all that are needed

cheryl100 · 26/10/2015 13:57

Milk tray man isn't a Lone Ranger. It's a team of dedicated partners and friends who want to make the people around them feel good about themselves.

They look like all sorts of people, they can be action men, book worms or airline hostesses.

They are all heroic in their own way as the most important thing is friendship and generosity of spirit.

Pixi2 · 26/10/2015 15:35

It needs to be my sister or my bf, with a bottle of wine in the other hand!

Pixi2 · 26/10/2015 15:38

Bf being best friend not boyfriend.

I find the idea if someone being in my home without my knowing strange and stalkerish.

BathshebaDarkstone · 26/10/2015 15:44

Would it be very weird to suggest David Tennant? I'd love him to climb through my window... Grin

angiehoggett · 26/10/2015 16:43

I can imagine David Beckham being a good Milk tray guy!

clarem100 · 26/10/2015 17:00

probably Tom Hardy!
