We’ve been asked by the team at LEGO® to find out about our Mumsnetters’ favourite treats and rewards from their childhood.

What sort of treats and rewards did you get during your childhood? Maybe you were given a chocolate bar for good school work? Or perhaps you received small toys as a reward for good behaviour? If you were a child today, what would be your ideal treat or reward? Perhaps it didn’t even exist when you were a child?

Either way, whatever childhood treats and rewards you loved before or would love now, LEGO® would like to hear about them!

I used to get a polly pocket if I went to bed by myself without getting up and coming back downstairs for a week! Although this may have only lasted a couple of weeks I still remember them though!

My favourite treats were when I got good reports at school and I could choose something from my favourite shop - it sold all sorts from pencils to notepads, candles and soaps but they were that little bit different. I loved things like that and still love a nice notepad

no rewards really but as a treat it was angel delight

I loved books and cheap sweets.

I used to collect crystals and would get a new crystal for extra good behaviour!... if I were a child now, I'd probably like cinema tickets or a trip to the cinema as reward, as I love seeing the latest films out.

Yorkshire Pudding!

I used to get Wade Whimsies from the shop at the bottom of the high street

Pocket money to buy sweets was our best reward!

My treat was a 10p mix. I used to spend ages choosing what to have- whether to have bigger sweets or 2 Mojos for a penny was the main dilemma.

Toys were for birthdays and Christmas but we all loved Lego in our house. My favourite set was a house building set with animal characters, flowers and trees. My mum used to return our small yellow pieces after washing them in the Milton bucket with Dsis's cloth nappies!

My favourite treat was definitely 1p pick and mix. For a reward it had to be stickers, I added to my collection whenever I had any pocket money.

A glass of lemonade & a bag of cheese & onion crisps on a Saturday night.

We had sweet day on a Friday. Only friday. My mum had a red tuppaware thing that she kept anything fun in and after school on Friday we could choose one thing.

Also bit random but after an optician appointment we were allowed sweets from the shop. It sticks out as my Mum was very tight fisted
