Netflix are excited to bring you Bloodline, a brand new Netflix original series, from Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman, Glenn Kessler – the creators of the acclaimed show Damages.

Bloodline is a dramatic thriller that explores the demons lurking beneath the surface of a contemporary American family. The Rayburns are hard-working pillars of their Florida Keys community. But when the black sheep son comes home for the 45th anniversary of his parents' hotel, he threatens to expose the Rayburns' dark secrets and shameful past, pushing his siblings to the limits of family loyalty.

The series stars Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights), Ben Mendelsohn (The Dark Knight Rises), Linda Cardellini (Mad Men) and Norbert Leo Butz as the Rayburn siblings, and the iconic actress Sissy Spacek as the Rayburn matriarch.

The whole of season one is now available on Netflix so feel free to binge watch as much as you like Grin. Wherever you are up to in the show we’d like you to pop on and off this thread to discuss the series and share with us what your thoughts are! Everyone who takes part in the discussion will be entered into a prize draw to win an iPad Air 2 and a 6 month subscription to Netflix!

Note on spoilers: We want to hear your thoughts on everything, from plot twists to season finales and more - but if you’re talking anything that could reveal important plot details then please put Spoiler warning at the beginning of your post to alert others who may not have seen it.
Happy watching,

Great storyline with all to familiar family relations. The flashbacks made it slightly difficult to follow at first, but gripping, once you got into it. Can't wait to see where the plot goes. Think it will be full of coincidence and intrigue.

womblelancs · 08/04/2015 09:31

I've not started watching this yet, but the description above intrigues me enough to give it a go.

JenB27 · 08/04/2015 10:53

Have seen trailers around but wasn't sure. Seem to have lots of "Netflix's own" crop up and not all seem as good as the first few. But after seeing this on here i finally gave it a try and now wish I had started earlier! Have only watched the first few so far but very good series. The end of an episode always makes you want to watch more. Wish i had started earlier than Easter Monday, probably could have finished the whole season! Looking forward to the next episodes!

Bechoole · 08/04/2015 12:51

Looks great, looking forward to watching!

AuFredon · 08/04/2015 12:57

I hope this is really original, the last Netflix "original" series I tried (The returned) was nothing more than a word for word remake of the French series.

emmav6 · 08/04/2015 19:52

katieskatie82 · 08/04/2015 20:08

Loving this, just finished second episode and starting the third

MaryDunlop99 · 08/04/2015 21:13

Bloodline is quite engrossing and addictive, and being set in the Florida keys, there is water everywhere. A great family saga. I always love a series that after watching the first episode, you are crying our for more!

superkittycat · 08/04/2015 21:40

Oooh I hadn't seen this series before but it looks brilliant - I will definitely be giving it a watch!

K1ttenpie · 08/04/2015 22:14

I've not started watching this yet but from reading the comments I think I should give it a go. I've just finished a couple of shows I was watching so need a new obsession.

rejcomp · 09/04/2015 00:56

Well I don't have Netfilx at the moment so not sure quite what I can add to the conversation but I'd love it if Mumsnet could rectify that for me :)

greentoad · 09/04/2015 04:09

matphil · 09/04/2015 08:37

mrsaishakhan · 09/04/2015 19:25

Bloodline is probably worth watching, but Netflix has such an embarrassment of riches on offer right now that it’s probably not worth watching first.
