Netflix are excited to bring you Bloodline, a brand new Netflix original series, from Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman, Glenn Kessler – the creators of the acclaimed show Damages.

Bloodline is a dramatic thriller that explores the demons lurking beneath the surface of a contemporary American family. The Rayburns are hard-working pillars of their Florida Keys community. But when the black sheep son comes home for the 45th anniversary of his parents' hotel, he threatens to expose the Rayburns' dark secrets and shameful past, pushing his siblings to the limits of family loyalty.

The series stars Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights), Ben Mendelsohn (The Dark Knight Rises), Linda Cardellini (Mad Men) and Norbert Leo Butz as the Rayburn siblings, and the iconic actress Sissy Spacek as the Rayburn matriarch.

The whole of season one is now available on Netflix so feel free to binge watch as much as you like Grin. Wherever you are up to in the show we’d like you to pop on and off this thread to discuss the series and share with us what your thoughts are! Everyone who takes part in the discussion will be entered into a prize draw to win an iPad Air 2 and a 6 month subscription to Netflix!

Note on spoilers: We want to hear your thoughts on everything, from plot twists to season finales and more - but if you’re talking anything that could reveal important plot details then please put Spoiler warning at the beginning of your post to alert others who may not have seen it.
Happy watching,

Think Netflix is great value going to get my Nephew a subscription as a present as he is off to Uni. Although hope he doesn't compare our family to this one Wink

Into The West Wing at the moment - and there are SO many series to go - but this is now on the list for later. Looks good

Looks a bit heavy but as a fan of The Wire, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Prison Break, Homeland, White Collar &c I am a fan of these so will give it a try!

I am finding it a bit difficult to get into, I think its because its so serious.

Have really enjoyed what I've seen so far...looks really promising. One of those shows that has you hooked and just have to keep watching! Knew it had to be good when I found out it was made by the same people as Damages, which is such an awesome series! If there are as many twists and turns in this it will be well worth watching!

I feel a complete numpty as up until a few days ago I had no idea of how you even signed up for Netflix. I have tried to mute my sister who has raved on about the likes of House of Cards and Breaking Bad, I remained in my ignorance assuming that this was a luxury aimed at the hardcore film enthusiasts with too much time on their hands!

But when even a pensioner at the gym tried to discuss House of Cards with me, I realised ignorance isn't always bliss. I find very little of quality on terrestrial TV worth viewing these days but love compelling dramas. I am a voracious reader, listen to much spoken word on the radio and audiobooks but given I don't watch the soaps and the scope for reality, cookery, house makeovers is limited I have decided it is long overdue that I sign up to this and let the light in!

It may be time to dip a toe in the water of the on demand TV platforms. When the cost is worked out per episode it really doesn't make the cost onerous and should even allow me to stretch to a bottle a wine whilst viewing!

Now I just need to get the kids fast asleep and the husband out... Easier said than done.. Lol

Just watched the first episode. Not totally gripped, but suspect I might be after the next couple.

Lara2 · 18/04/2015 16:22

I've watched the first two and I'm totally hooked! Soooo many questions! Made DH watch too - he's a bit cooler than me, but intrigued. I will be having a bit of a binge........

TamzinGrey · 18/04/2015 20:41

We aren't normally interested in family dramas, but thought that we'd give this a go because we loved Damages and have been to the Florida Keys. Became totally sucked in right from the first episode. We're now up to episode 7 and resisting the temptation to binge the rest. Loving it.

Geeky2 · 21/04/2015 11:27

Glad my holiday in the Florida Keys wasn't like that

pigsinmud · 23/04/2015 14:33

Just watched the first episode. Haven't got time to watch the second before the dc come home! Not sure yet. Perhaps the second will grab me more.
