To celebrate their mini pots of rice pudding and custard, which hit the shelves earlier this year and are specially developed for children*, we have been asked by the team at Ambrosia to find out from you what tastes make you happy! We all know some flavours and food are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face - or to your childs', or may even remind you of a special meal or occasion.

Ambrosia say: "we think that Ambrosia my mini pots taste like happy! They are a great way to mix up a mundane lunchbox, and as they are easy to pop in a handbag, are always there for when hunger strikes. And a happy child, means a happy mum/dad. What does happy taste like to you?"

The Ambrosia mini pots range is specially developed for children* and contains calcium and vitamin D, which are needed for normal growth and development of bone in children. They contain no preservatives or artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners, but are full of dairy goodness. They have a long life and don't need to be chilled, so they are perfect for stocking up on reserve and for use out and about too. For all ingredients please see here

Each pack of 6 has a recommended retail price of £1.49.

Please share your happy tastes and flavours on this thread - or those of your DC - no later than 28th November 2014 - and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £100 Amazon voucher and a selection of Ambrosia Goodies**.

Please note, your comments may be included on Ambrosia's social media channels, and possibly elsewhere, so please only post if you're comfortable with this.

Thanks and good luck

For me it's what my Mum referred to as nursery tastes, so cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and raisins, I'm never happier with a bowlful of rice pudding with these flavours running through it. Smile

The rest of my family all have a sweet tooth, Peanut butter and Salt Caramel being the preferred taste of all of them.

kentishgirl · 18/11/2014 18:22

chocolate and raspberries - taste of summer.

Maiyakat · 18/11/2014 20:18

A really good lemon meringue pie or panna cotta. I like puddings!

milliemoon · 18/11/2014 20:29

Chocolate for me and banana for my son

teddygirlonce · 18/11/2014 20:34

Strawberries and cream
Trifle
Christmas pudding and custard
Freshly podded peas
Ripe peaches

Yum...

CheeseEMouse · 18/11/2014 21:00

Slightly predictable, but I like cheese - particularly a really gooey one. Reminds me of holidays. I also love a good hot chocolate - a real comfort drink.

Solasum · 18/11/2014 21:14

Perfectly ripe lightly sun-warmed raspberries, with clotted cream, or cold custard, and a sprig of mint. Perfectly simple, and The taste of English summer.

fuzzpig · 18/11/2014 21:31

For me and 7yo DD it's a lot of different fruit. Both of us go crazy for lychees, I am very happy in the rare window they're available. Her other favourite is physalis. For me I think perfectly ripe raspberries are hard to beat.

That's not to say I don't love other stuff too - I am a definite chocoholic! And someone above mentioned chicken skin - yep! DD fights me for it. She's her mother's daughter alright just hope she can stay slim Blush

5yo DS, I'd say pasta. With pretty much anything - I can sneak all sorts of stuff into sauces that he would otherwise refuse. If he had to choose just one though I reckon he'd say macaroni cheese.

cococandyfloss · 18/11/2014 21:51

Chocolate for me too, Oh and the lovely taste of hot vinegar covered chips.

my dd loves Olives -they always put a huge smile on her face she just loves them (bleugh)

lottietiger · 18/11/2014 22:04

For DS cheese or anything with grated cheese on top followed by a tub of rice pud or yoghurt

For DH fish and chips or cheese and pickle sandwiches, good old fashioned fare followed by Apple pie and cream.

For me a fillet steak with pepper sauce to start and if there is any room left chocolate pudding with chocolate custard.

HawkeyeInChaos · 18/11/2014 22:17

DS (16 months) is obsessed by bananas. He searches my handbag and shopping bags for them. If he finds one he squeaks and hugs it. He has finally learned that he needs to let me peel it (oh, the screams we used to have when I reached towards it and he thought it was going to be taken away) but he watches my every move like a hawk.

It is definitely his taste of happy.

unadulterateddad · 18/11/2014 22:18

Stollen, it means winter's coming and it's the lead in to feeling Christmassy

artex · 18/11/2014 23:05

Mulled cider in winter

SoonToBeSix · 18/11/2014 23:34

For me mashed potato it's pure comfort food.

Lindsaym1983 · 19/11/2014 06:55

Cake

Stinkystinkypoopoohead · 19/11/2014 12:29

My mums chicken and vegetable soup is my happy taste - no matter how I try, I just can't recreate the flavour and goodness that she seems to jam into the steaming bowl of glorious broth.

And for a quick and sugary pick me up, warm chocolate brownie and good extra thick vanilla custard is amazing

AndHarry · 19/11/2014 13:00

For me, my happy taste is coconut ice cream as it reminds me of meals out with family and friends, some of whom I see very seldom.

starlight36 · 19/11/2014 13:47

Pistachio ice creams. - always reminds me of holidays in Italy when I was younger.

LEE88 · 19/11/2014 14:11

My happy taste is definitely chocolate! At the moment my son loves oranges and can't get enough of them.

Hamiltoes · 19/11/2014 14:35

Dd loves banannas, also shes going through a phase of being mad about honey.

I love caramel, peanut butter and chocolate (2x happier when pb and choc are together) . Ooooh and baileys.

Im off to raid the cupboards now Grin

elizaco · 19/11/2014 14:49

Chocolate. Sorry it's a boring answer but I love that tingling sensation I get in my mouth when I have some chocolate!

Also, a well made hot chocolate.

And chocolate milkshake.

(Can you tell I like chocolate?!) ;)

The first bite of a full on roast dinner! (Especially after I've been slaving away making it!)

mjmooseface · 19/11/2014 19:02

Also, cheese on crackers, washed down with apple juice. That is my summer flavour!

And a nice chilled white grape juice drink!
