To celebrate their mini pots of rice pudding and custard, which hit the shelves earlier this year and are specially developed for children*, we have been asked by the team at Ambrosia to find out from you what tastes make you happy! We all know some flavours and food are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face - or to your childs', or may even remind you of a special meal or occasion.

Ambrosia say: "we think that Ambrosia my mini pots taste like happy! They are a great way to mix up a mundane lunchbox, and as they are easy to pop in a handbag, are always there for when hunger strikes. And a happy child, means a happy mum/dad. What does happy taste like to you?"

The Ambrosia mini pots range is specially developed for children* and contains calcium and vitamin D, which are needed for normal growth and development of bone in children. They contain no preservatives or artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners, but are full of dairy goodness. They have a long life and don't need to be chilled, so they are perfect for stocking up on reserve and for use out and about too. For all ingredients please see here

Each pack of 6 has a recommended retail price of £1.49.

Please share your happy tastes and flavours on this thread - or those of your DC - no later than 28th November 2014 - and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £100 Amazon voucher and a selection of Ambrosia Goodies**.

Please note, your comments may be included on Ambrosia's social media channels, and possibly elsewhere, so please only post if you're comfortable with this.

Thanks and good luck

Apple pie hands down (not with cinnamon though), and rhubarb crumble, and cherry pie, are favourites for me and my family, all HAVE to have lashings of Ambrosia of course!

Britishdisneydiva · 21/11/2014 15:42

Freshly baked bread and latherings of proper butter; its the real taste of home.

gemima27 · 21/11/2014 16:48

dd loves strawberry, for me it has to be chocolate!

FrankSpencer · 21/11/2014 16:58

Dippy egg yolks and buttered soldiers will always taste happy to me. Smile

PickledLilly · 21/11/2014 17:40

Fresh cherries or raspberries for me, DD loves white chocolate buttons, she's only one but her little face absolutely lights up when she has them!

mamato3luvleys · 21/11/2014 19:30

My favourite tastes are cinder toffee, chocolate and roasted chestnuts which is also a favourite smell!
My children love the smell of sweets and of course the taste they all really love dragon fruit too although that might be how messy and pink they get when eating it x

sarahbanshee · 21/11/2014 22:16

Gingerbread, mulled wine, winter spices for me. Also anything toffee or caramel. The sticky bits from where the fruit in a crumble has leached through and caramelised are probably the happiest tastes ever.

For the kids it would be berries of any kind, honey, and figs. Fig jam makes everyone smile a sticky smile in our house.

mindingalongtime · 22/11/2014 10:01

DH makes the most amazing scrambled egg every weekend for me, heaven with smoked salmon and a bagel. Failing that eggs florentine, yum!

NettleTea · 22/11/2014 13:26

vanilla, chocolate and caramel. Ive a bit of a sweet tooth!

DrankSangriaInThePark · 22/11/2014 14:36

Chocolate, proper strong builder's tea and seaside fish and chips done in dripping. Roast lamb and mint sauce.

DD's is Chinese or Indian food, sausages and roast potatoes and chocolate.

Purplehonesty · 22/11/2014 21:04

Rhubarb crumble and custard
Cherry pie and custard
And tomatoes from the greenhouse

All tastes from my childhood that I still love now. Farmhouse kitchen teas in front of the Aga - happy happy!

KateOxford · 23/11/2014 07:18

We love ambrosia custard. Happy for us is a nice warm pudding with custard on the side. Apple crumble and custard or ginger cake and custard are currently our favourites.

Nottheshrinkingcapgrandpa · 23/11/2014 07:27

daveadt · 23/11/2014 18:36

plastigffantastig · 23/11/2014 18:38

kthwaitey · 23/11/2014 18:40

corned beef , weird but it has very happy memories of my grandma , standing by a open fire melting the hard butter to make us corned beef sandwiches with a glass of cherryade , transports me back to my childhood everytime

Marg2k8 · 23/11/2014 18:41

DJASKEW · 23/11/2014 18:43

I do love rice pudding and also strawberry Angel delight, simple desserts that we used to have as children. They can also be enhanced by adding fruit.

tabbaz123 · 23/11/2014 18:44
