Nurofen for Children have asked us to find out what makes Mumsnetters and their DCs feel better when they’re feeling under the weather during the winter months.

Here’s what Nurofen says, “Both adults and children may experience a sniffle or two this winter, but the whole family wants to feel their best to make the most of the festive season. From Halloween to Christmas, there are plenty of family occasions to enjoy during the colder months and being holed up in the house is no fun for anybody. If you or your children are struck down with cold or flu, Nurofen offers a range of products to help manage both adult and child symptoms including fever, sore throats, headaches and minor body aches.”

So, what do you do to help yourself and your DCs feel better when you are (both) down with a winter bug? Do you tuck yourself under multiple covers on the couch and put on a marathon of your favourite TV show? Perhaps you have a special recipe which you reserve for when you’re feeling under the weather which you find keeps you going? Or maybe a hot bath does the trick for you and your DC? Whatever it is, we’d love to hear it.

Everyone who leaves their comments below will be entered into a prize draw to win a £250 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

Hot water bottle, comfy bed and sleep

fluffyblueberry · 24/11/2014 13:48

Get in some comfortable PJ's and get under the duvet on the sofa, a nice warm drink, some paracetamol and endless comedy shows or films! Or if the little ones are also sick then plenty of cartoons or films for them, or some of their favourite books we can read together. x

I always make sure that there is plenty of tea in the house, a good cuppa, plenty of blankets and rest is the best way to start feeling yourself again!

hannahlw85 · 24/11/2014 14:02

Being tucked up in bed in my pjs, heating on, dog next to me on the bed and tv on is what helps me.

A nice warm bowl of chicken soup followed by snuggling up with a blanket and having some quiet 'me' time always perks me back up!

lexiemac13 · 24/11/2014 20:35

Not having to go out in the cold and do anything works wonders! If only there wasn't always something to do! To be honest I don't often pick up colds and bugs but when I do the best thing is really cuddles and sleep.

crickmel · 24/11/2014 21:22
