Netflix would like to know what your favourite Netflix TV show is and why.

With so many great series available to choose from on Netflix, fans often find it’s hard to pick a favourite. From hit US dramas like The Good Wife, to hilarious comedies such as Fresh Meat and Suits, and cult shows like Sons of Anarchy, they feel sure there's something for everyone to discover and enjoy.

Members also have exclusive access to Netflix’s original series, including the fourth and final season of the dark detective drama The Killing, as well as Lilyhammer, a fish-out-water tale about a New York mobster living in Norway.

So, what is your favourite TV Show to watch on Netflix? Do the endless twists and turns of Homeland keep you on the edge of your seat? Do you scare yourself silly with the supernatural thriller American Horror Story? Maybe you like to put your analytical skills to the test with quirky hospital drama House? Whatever it is, we’d love to hear about it - and why you keep going back for more!

Check out the Netflix hub on Mumsnet to find out what TV series are currently available and coming up on Netflix.

Everyone who leaves their comment on this thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £250 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

Reaper. At the moment I'm watching Kyle XY but have binge watched my way through so many series and films since January when my youngest arrived. It's amazing how much mindless entertainment you can watch whilst breast feeding. Favourite TV show so far has to be Reaper closely followed by Kyle XY, Charmed, The Vampire Diaries, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (yep, all seven seasons!)...Anything tongue in cheek firmly routed between reality and fantasy (pretty much where I like to live!) Would quite like Netflix to get hold of Hellcats, saw the pilot and would like to see the rest of the series. The kids loved the lego marvel maximum overload episode (and the other lego series).

We've just started watching Dexter on Netflix. For both me and DH after the first episode we were half enjoying it and half worrying that it was going to give us nightmares (we're both total whooses)! We ended up watching a further 2 episodes that night and so far no nightmares so will probably get totally hooked now. We also love 24 and have Homelands on our 'to watch' list.

We only took Netflix to watch Breaking Bad, and now we've finished it I was wondering if it was worth continuing our subscription.

But it looks like Orange is the New Black is one to watch although I've never heard of it

Presumably these words in the MN post are a quote from a press release not actual MN wording....."With so many great series available to choose from on Netflix, fans often find it’s hard to pick a favourite. From hit US dramas like The Good Wife, to hilarious comedies such as Fresh Meat and Suits, and cult shows like Sons of Anarchy, they feel sure there's something for everyone to discover and enjoy."

I am a netflix subscriber. House of Cards was good. I watch more on iplayer/skyboxoffice etc however. I don't use netflix that much at the moment but that doesn't matter as it's quite cheap.

American Horror Story. Just fab!

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 08/11/2014 21:30

The Killing - compelling viewing

Demonchops · 08/11/2014 22:55

Orange is the new black! Series 1 and 2 -totally hooked and loved the characters and storyline- will there be a series3? Hope so!

Tanfastic · 09/11/2014 08:17

Husband is watching some gruesome vampire shit. No idea what it is but I will ask him Grin

Doubtfuldaphne · 09/11/2014 11:11

Orange is the new black. I watched it solidly for two days back to back. I then started all over again.
It's quite dark but absolutely brilliant. I can't wait for the third series.
I also love watching louis theroux. His style of journalism is so clever and the subjects are always entertaining!

CalifornianMum · 09/11/2014 11:12

The Killing (US version). We accidentally started watching it instead of the original version but we have really enjoyed every season.

NoisyOyster · 09/11/2014 11:36

Orange is the new black

But specifically, the theme tune. To the point where I rewind and play it again. Whilst caterwauling singing along

Fairylea · 09/11/2014 12:55

Also absolutely love homeland although very disappointed that the latest series has been on channel 4 and not on Netflix yet :(

thewomaninwhite · 09/11/2014 13:11

Breaking Bad!

howtoapproachthis · 09/11/2014 13:14

definitley prison break

SeattleGraceMercyDeath · 09/11/2014 13:18

What don't I love watching on Netflix? We're subscribers who have access to all netflix regions but specifically on UK netflix we loved Breaking Bad and now Homeland. On US The Walking Dead, Hart of Dixie and Royal Pains(not DH the last two!) have got our boat floating.

We hardly ever watch normal tv these days.

inespa85 · 09/11/2014 13:55

My two have discovered pokemon on Netflix!

Hoping they add NCIS soon!

fluffyraggies · 09/11/2014 14:00

Walking Dead. We don't watch much telly at all but this had me and DH gripped Grin

weelittlething · 09/11/2014 14:02

Hemlock Grove! Grin

webster147 · 09/11/2014 14:04

There are so many to choose from but my particular favourites are, Orange Is The New Black, The Killing (U.S version), Sons Of Anarchy & The Returned.

Babycarmen · 09/11/2014 14:08

How to choose!! Right now it is Homeland, but over all probably Prison Break or Orange is the new black - I can't choose!! :)

VirtualPointyHat · 09/11/2014 14:19

We actually took out a netflix subscription as we couldn't wait for the DVDs to be posted from Lovefilm, such an amazing series which kept us on the edge of our seats.

Now, we are slowly working our way through House. 177 episodes which is great :D

FannyFifer · 09/11/2014 14:26

Breaking Bad.

Have watched a few episodes of Lillyhammer but I was quite uncomfortable with the underlying racism throughout the episodes so stopped watching it.

1moreRep · 09/11/2014 15:32

the killing

Certainly iplayer and the other mainstream TV channels and Skygo if you have that too get you a lot. Netflix fills in a few of the gaps. I would not put it higher than that and it has the older programmes. Let the thread not be only a positive ad for netflix, not that I begrudge them their success - they have done well to build the subscriber base.
