We have all heard "old wives" tales about how to get pregnant and now the team at Clearblue would love to hear which ones you have heard of - and which you believe in and which are a load of tosh!

Inspired by threads like this, they'd also love you to share the myths/ pre conceived (gettit)! notions you had before you TTCed about DTD and trying to get pregnant - what was an absolute revelation to you once you entered the land of TTCing?

Clearblue say "At Clearblue we love hearing about the journey women go on when trying to get pregnant, and especially when our products have been able to help in some way, please do share your experiences on this thread!"

Everyone who posts will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky MNer will win a £250 Love2Shop voucher.

Please note your comments and photos may be included on Clearblue's website and social media channels, and possibly elsewhere, so please only post if you're comfortable with this.

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ

years ago I heard that keeping your legs in the air after sex was a way to get pregnant!

caz123456 · 20/10/2014 10:55

I thought it was true to put your legs in the air after sex! I'd just make sure we did the deed every day and elevate hips (even though it's a myth!)

I have heard the old wives tales but don't believe any of them work!

Pinktilgate · 20/10/2014 12:49

I'm convinced that by timing my ovulation dates, and using the 'legs in the air' technique helped me conceive! I have PCOS and had been trying for some time, and it was a friend who suggested this method and it worked! Maybe a coincidence but who knows! :)!

I've heard many over the years but firmly believe in have fun trying and to not stress about it as the stress can prevent things happening. I've known friends who gave up on the idea on becoming a mum and within a couple of months of accepting it and stressing less about it they conceived and have beautiful children.
