Netflix would like to hear all about your Netflix moments and how you use the entertainment service with your family.

Netflix have released a new TV ad, watch it below and let us know your thoughts.

We all love great entertainment, what role does entertainment play in your household? Tell us what would make up your perfect Netflix moment and how does it make you feel? What are your "getting ready" rituals before you sit down to enjoy?

Maybe your perfect time to Netflix is cuddled up in bed with your DP or maybe it's a stolen moment at work in your lunch break?

Whatever it is, leave your comments below.

Everyone who adds their thoughts will be entered into a prize draw to win a £250 Love2Shop voucher*.

You can watch five short videos of how some other Mumsnetters use and experience Netflix here.

If you don't use Netflix please watch the videos of the Netflix ambassadors above and let us know what your impressions are of Netflix.

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

I love that Netflix advert at the top there! And I enjoyed watching the Netflix ambassador's experiences with Netflix, too!

As for our house... We've been with Netflix since it launched in the UK and have been very happy with it. We love all of the Netflix original series as you can watch all the episodes however you want, you don't have to wait a week for the next episode and you can watch more than one at a time!

Since husband started his second job, we don't watch Netflix together during the week too much now and save it for the weekend! We wait for little man to have his nap which can last up to 4 hours!!! If we're watching Netflix in the evening, our 'getting ready' rituals include... getting into pj's, going for a wee and letting the dog out for the toilet, getting a drink and some treats and snuggling under a quilt on the sofa usually with the lights off, too!

I like to balance my laptop on the windowsill in the kitchen whilst I wash the dishes and dry and put them away after! If husband is playing on the xbox or watching one of his Netflix shows on the xbox, I like to watch one of my shows on my laptop! Sometimes, I'm up after husband has gone to bed and I like to sit in bed with headphones in, watching one of my shows whilst the rest of the house sleeps! It takes a lot of will power to not power through and watch a whole series in one night!!

We've found a website that tells us what shows have just been added (and taken down) so we love looking at that and getting excited about what to watch and adding things to our lists!

Perfect Netflix moment is sitting down to watch the very first episode of a TV series uninterrupted! And then weighing up whether we have time for another one after!!

Sometimes, in the evening, I put my laptop on a bed in my son's room and put on one of the kid's programmes whilst I make dinner, or something. He recognises some of the opening songs now and gets all excited and will sit an watch for a few minutes and then potter about in his room. It acts more as a background noise for him, really.

I bought a Roku box just before Christmas and DP and I decided to treat ourselves to a Netflix subscription to go with it and I'm really pleased with it! I love how it remembers where you've got up to in each series and it's such a smooth picture-we don't have particularly brilliant internet in the house but its always played fine. We barely watch broadcasted tv now!

BobaFetaCheese · 17/02/2014 14:21

we've done it...sky cancelled, fast fibre broadband on way, and then we're netflixers? netflixing? Suffering from netflixification?! Howevrr you put it Grin

elliebe13 · 17/02/2014 15:06

I loved netflix when I was in labour it got me through a tough 24 hours rolling on my birth ball watching weeds :)

My husband and I love watching netflix in bed

platy · 17/02/2014 16:38

I am a massive Netflix fan. The quality of the drama is outstanding and I've adored Orange is the New Black and House of Cards. I love that I can watch on my own schedule and I don't have to let the show lose momentum at key moments. I also love that I can watch it in any room of my house be it via Apple TV in the living room or tucked up in bed with the iPad. Fantastic, I literally wouldn't be without it now.

hoogervaaner · 17/02/2014 16:45

I love Netflix and Netflix loves me, I thought Valentine's day was going to be rubbish until I realised that Netflix were giving us the wonderful present of House of Cards series 2. I watched it all in one sitting with a bottle of pink Champagne, bliss.

lovetheseasons1 · 17/02/2014 16:58

Netflix was a god-send in the last fee days of pregnancy watching Orange is the new black. Now the baby is here it's a stolen moment with DP to catch House of Cards second series in bed with headphones together trying not to wake the baby!

mindingalongtime · 17/02/2014 18:03

Ditched Sky last night, bought a smart TV for the bedroom, netflix rules!

Ilikepinkwine · 17/02/2014 18:36

A few updates later and I've got Netflix on the TV running through the PS3. It's a rainy half term so we're sorted. :)

nappyrat · 17/02/2014 19:16

Netflix means I can have my down time when it suits me & my baby rather than be tied to specific times to watch that must have show!

(House of cards fanatic! ;)

Mummy2aRockstar · 17/02/2014 21:39

We love Netflix, we dont have cable or freeview only Netflix. Its great for my son to watch his programs and once he's in bed Daddy and I can snuggle on the sofa watching endless movies. I love the range of fantasy drama's available such as hex and charmed and even buffy. My only criticism would be the menus can be a little confusing to navigate with the same program listed in several different menus.

mamfantastic · 18/02/2014 12:51

we all love Netflix, it has something for everyone. A lovely Rom Com for me, action and horror for my husband and loads of kids films for the little ones. if we don't fancy a film there's lots of box sets to work our way through.

cremolafoam · 18/02/2014 18:01

Thanks goodness for Netflix! We watch on our main telly while dd 18 watches on her Kindle. Have enjoyed Breaking Bad, House of Cards( getting into season 2 now) and Lillehammer which is brilliant. It's terrific to know there's always something on. Grin

bofski14 · 19/02/2014 07:10

The long, tired days waiting for my baby girl to arrive were made bearable by Netflix. Me and my husband watched every baby related film in preparation for our new arrival. Love the search facility and the recommendations at the end of a film. The night I finally went into labour we were watching Netflix and tried to hold out as long as possible so we could see the ending of "Look Who's Talking". Now my baby girl is 12 weeks old and loves watching "My Little Pony" on Netflix. So handy as it streams constantly. I can put her in her bouncer chair and let her be entertained while I clean up. Best thing in our house is Netflix. Love it.

mydadsdaughter · 19/02/2014 09:10

From power rangers to breaking bad, modern family and outnumbered and all the amazing films and shows we barely watch mainstream TV anymore. My favourite Netflicks moment was watching modern family and laughing til my sides hurt, my youngest son will tell you its watching the first episode of avatar and becoming hooked. For my eldest it would be watching the hunger games film, and my partner, well its breaking bad for him.
We have recommended Netflix to our immediate family and friends who are just as pleased as we are, the great thing about it is you can have it on different devices so my eldest son can have netflix on his kindle.
All you need to get down is the walking dead and the next series of modern family please !

knightonian · 19/02/2014 09:53

We have been converted to Netflix series

We're currently watching the second series of covert affairs.

The start sequence is epic, it's so bad it makes us laugh.

At the end of the intro the main character faces the camera and swiped her card - pretending to access the CIA building.

My wife and I now say shall we watch the swipe swipe lady

Wicked

ThingsThatGoBumpInTheNight · 19/02/2014 14:18

My perfect netflix moment

Getting cheesed off that john carter wasn't appearing any time soon so brought it on blu ray.

It promptly appeared on Netflix that very night. Blush

grouches

Badvoc · 19/02/2014 17:08

Can you find out what is being added to Netflix btw?
And when?

MrsS1980 · 20/02/2014 10:48

Love Netflix - was considering getting sky as my parents have the on demand Service and it is amazing! However, we don't need it now as Netflix caters for the whole family and we always have something to watch. Netflix - I think you have a subscriber for life.

aristocat · 20/02/2014 12:04

I also love NetFlix and we have started to watch Modern Family from season one ..... it is still as funny the second time around Smile

DDs special moment was discovering the film Parent Trap a few years ago, it is still one of her favourites.

I like the way you can continue to the next episode within seconds - genius!

Barrso · 21/02/2014 13:22

Netflix was a godsend when I was off on maternity leave!! I was able to watch so many different shows whilst during humdrum chores such as ironing, washing bottles etc, all whilst my little one was sleeping, I hasten to add :-) The ability to watch it on the ipad is fantastic. So far I've gotten through The Killing, The Bridge, Fringe, House of Cards, Dexter, Lillyhammer... to name but a few! I've even convinced my hubby to cancel the Sky Movies subscription and we haven't missed that for a second! I'm back to work now but have still managed to sneak in a few episodes of House of Cards Season 2. A total bargain at 6 per month!

lolliplop · 21/02/2014 16:54

After bath and bed routine, its a case of snacks from the fridge and feet up with the Hub! We've recently switched to Virgin Media which included a free 6 month Netflix subscription so looking forward to seeing what it can offer... and checking out the 'Breaking Bad' hype for myself!

MmeCItronPresse · 21/02/2014 22:59

Have not used Netflix yet. We do not own a tv and rely mainly on the bbc iplayer on a a rather small and crappy computer screen but I love the idea of getting a better screen and have a movie night in once a week with my twins! The ad portrayed Netflix as fun, friendly, and convivial. Will check it out, although not keen if I need to have an annual subscription.

Bubbles85 · 22/02/2014 12:17

My perfect Netflix moment is catching some time to watch a film in bed on one of the rare occasions our newborn baby girl decides to stay asleep. We usually have to watch it across a couple of days though!

JakeBullet · 22/02/2014 12:37

I am like that Bubbles, am a bit Netflix deprived at the moment as it has been such a busy week. Can't wait until I have a peaceful evening, early night and Netflix on iPad with a good film or a series.
